Your personal responsibility to fleeing from strangers. ( Click here for more details. )

YOUR PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY TO FLEE FROM STRANGERS.

John  10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.  10:2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.  10:3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.  10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.  10:5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

Beloved Brethren our Lord Jesus Christ manifesting His unfeigned love for His church, bought with His blood, warned them of the reality of false prophets and their determined resolve to flee from them always.

Matthew  24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.  24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.  24:25 Behold, I have told you before.  24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

Matthew  7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.  7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?  7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.  7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.  7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

2 Corinthians  11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.  11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.  11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

2 Peter  2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.  2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.  2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

To avoid these false prophets, as far back as the time of the old testament, the blessed Holy Spirit has been warning the saints of God.

Deuteronomy  13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,  13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;  13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.  13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.  13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

Romans  16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.  16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Ephesians  5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.  5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.  5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

2 John  1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.  1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.  1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:  1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

2 Timothy  2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

These false prophets were not sent by God, but were raised up by the devil to deceive the simple hearted and damn their precious undying souls.

Jeremiah  23:13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.  23:14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.  23:15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.  23:16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.  23:21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.  23:22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.  23:23 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?  23:24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.  23:25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.  23:26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;  23:27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.  23:28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.  23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?  23:30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.  23:31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.  23:32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

How do they perpetrate their deceptive task?

Make professors of religion to reject the truth and opted for deceit.

Jeremiah  5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

2 Thessalonians  2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Blind their eyes.

2 Corinthians  4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:  4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

You have a responsibility to grow spiritually to fend away these false prophets and their doctrines.

Ephesians  6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

2.  God’s heaven sent ministers must continue to preach the totality of the gospel of God.

2 Timothy  4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;  4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.  4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Associate with heaven bound ministers for your earthly and eternal well being.

Let us pray.
