What wilt thou do with Jesus? ( Click here for more details. )

What will you do with Jesus?

John  9:24 Then again called they the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give God the praise: we know that this man is a sinner.  9:25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.  9:26 Then said they to him again, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?  9:27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear it again? will ye also be his disciples?  9:28 Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples.  9:29 We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence he is.  9:30 The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes.  9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.  9:32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.  9:33 If this man were not of God, he could do nothing.  9:34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.  9:35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?  9:36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?  9:37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.  9:38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.

Beloved Brethren you see a remarkable difference between the leaders of the Jews and the man that Jesus opened his eyes.

While the Jews abused our Lord as a sinner and rejected Him, this man worshipped our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today,  so many people are doing what they like with Jesus, but you must differentiate yourself, you must reverence Him, be wholly submissive and obedient to Him in all things and at all times and follow Him through thick and thin, cleave to Him purposefully and nothing must separate you from Him.

They are fighting our King and Lord.

Revelation  17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

But you must be different. Cleave to Him through thick and thin.

Acts  11:23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

Nothing must separate you from Him.

Romans  8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?  8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Be obedient to Him in all things and at all times.

Hebrews  5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Let’s go through the Bible and see what different people do to our Lord.

Peter denied Him,  even though he repented.

Matthew  26:69 Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.  26:70 But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.  26:71 And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.  26:72 And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.  26:73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.  26:74 Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.  26:75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

Pilate condemned  Him to death to keep his position as a governor.

John  19:12 And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar’s friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.  19:13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha.  19:14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!  19:15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.  19:16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away.

Judas betrayed Him for thirty pieced of silver.

Matthew  26:14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,  26:15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.  26:16 And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

Sanhedrin crucified Him.

Matthew  26:62 And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?  26:63 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.  26:64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.  26:65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.  26:66 What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.  26:67 Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,  26:68 Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

Levi, Matthew followed Him.

Luke  5:27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.  5:28 And he left all, rose up, and followed him.

This is what you should do, follow Jesus leaving all.  Matthew became an apostle, wrote the book of Matthew and will be at the throne with Jesus, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Luke  22:28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.  22:29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me;  22:30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Malefactor acknowledged Him and ended up in paradise.

Luke  23:39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us.  23:40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?  23:41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.  23:42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.  23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Mary honoured Him and she would be remembered everytime the gospel is preached globally.

John  12:1 Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.  12:2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him.  12:3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.  12:4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him,  12:5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?  12:6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.  12:7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.  12:8 For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.

Matthew  26:6 Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,  26:7 There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.  26:8 But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?  26:9 For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.  26:10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.  26:11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.  26:12 For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.  26:13 Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

What wilt thou do with Jesus? Listen to the man Jesus opened his eyes again.

Think of all that Jesus went through for you to be saved. What will thou do with Jesus?  Please worship Him. Be obedient to Him. Cleave to Him through thick and thin and never allow anything to separate you and Him.

Let us pray.
