Jesus personal efforts to keep Himself from being hurt.

7:1 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.

Dearly beloved brethren, let us learn from Jesus, the place of personal efforts in keeping ourselves from satanic attacks and snares.

The Bible reveals severally the determind efforts of satan, to kill Jesus and hindered Him from getting to Calvary to pay the price for our redemption.

Jesus prayed earnestly for this not to happen.

Hebrews  5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;  5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

But then in addition, Jesus personally keep Himself out of trouble.

Proverbs  22:3 A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

The devil possesd the Jews to carry out this gruesome act.

Listen.

John  10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?  10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;  10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?  10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.  10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.  10:39 Therefore they sought again to take him: but he escaped out of their hand,  10:40 And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.

John  11:53 Then from that day forth they took counsel together for to put him to death.  11:54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.

Luke  13:31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.

John  7:19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?  7:25 Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?

John  5:16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.  5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.  5:18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

Matthew  21:38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.

As the year is going to an end a lot of mishap and unimaginable devastation will be unleashed by the devil.

Beloved it is not compulsory that you must travel home every December.

This had sent multitude to the grave, you can avoid it.

Watch out for parties you attend.  Some people have been poisened when attending parties.

Jesus taught us to pray for our safety.  But in addition. He wants us to be watchful of anything that can harm us.

Mark  13:33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.  13:37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Jesus admonished us to run away from trouble spots.

Matthew  10:23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

So let us follow the example of Jesus and. God’s promised long life shall be ours in Jesus mighty name.

Let’s pray.
