Beloved, it is very easy to discover whether the profession of a person who claims to be a Christian is genuine or false.
This is because a genuine Christian walks with God in the light of the totality of His revealed truth. On the other hand a nominal churchgoer walks in darkness, by walking away from God’s revealed truth and walking in disobedience with the devil.
I am persuaded of you that your own profession of being a Christian is genuine. Because this is so continue determinedly to walk with God in the light of the totality of His revealed truth. See what the Bible says.
Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

2Jo 1:4-6 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
3Jo 1:3-4 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
Beloved, see how the Bible describes a nominal churchgoer, walking in darkness by walking with the devil in disobedience and rebellion to God and His revealed truth.
Praise God , this is unlike you.
Psalms 82:5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.
Pro 4:19 The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
Pro 2:11-15 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things; Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness; Who rejoice to do evil,and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
Jer 6:16 Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Jeremiah 2:3 Israel was holiness unto the Lord, and the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the Lord.
Isa 30:1 — Isa 30:2 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit,that they may add sin to sin: That walk to go down into Egypt,and have not asked at my mouth;to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
Jer 44:16-17 As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the Lord, we will not hearken unto thee. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
Jer 7:23 — Jer 7:26 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward. Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them: Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.
Beloved, see an example of someone that walked away from the light of the revealed truth of the Lord and walked in darkness and disobedience. This led him to eternal damnation.
This shall never ever be your portion in Jesus name.
1Ch 10:13-14 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the Lord, even against the word of the Lord, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it; And enquired not of the Lord: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.
But then look at saints who walked in the light of the revealed truth of God and were shining here and Hereafter. This shall certainly be your portion in Jesus name.
Enoch
Gen 5:22 -24 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
Hebrews 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Noah
Genesis 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
Pro 4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day
Beloved receive grace of God to continue to walk in the light of the revealed truth of God till Christ comes. This is the commandment of the Lord for you in particular.
Genesis 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
Dearly beloved, there is something sincere believers like you are committed to doing. They determinedly walk in the light of the totality of the revealed truth when it is convenient and when it is not.

On the other hand, empty professors of religion and nominal churchgoer hates the light and walk in damnable darkness. See it yourself.
Jn 3:19-20 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Dearly beloved, Jesus Christ our Lord and savior exhorts you in particular, never ever to be like these people.
Jn 12:35-36 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
As far back as Bible days till the end of time, whenever nominal churchgoers are exposed to the light of the totality of the revealed truth of God, they walked away and discontinue fellowship with Christ.
I rejoice greatly because you are not like these people. So keep it up till Christ comes walking in the light of His entire revealed truth, like Peter and the rest apostles. Never ever turned back like Judas, the devil.
Jn 6:60-70 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
Friend, the good Lord shall help you to the end. Nothing of the devil shall make the dawning rapture elude you in particular in Jesus name.
This shall be so as you detest walking in darkness but determinedly walk in the light of the totality of the revealed truth of the Lord.

Friend, there are two reasons while nominal churchgoers shall miss this imminent event.
1. They walked in darkness as murderers. They hated others in their hearts.
1Jo 2:9-11 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.
2. They deliberately walked in darkness by rejecting the light of the totality of the revealed truth of the Lord.
Jn 12:46-48 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Friend the grace of God shall help you, not to be part of these people in Jesus mighty name.
2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
