KnowingJESUS Daily Devotional | September 21, 2019 – Enrich and Sustain your relationship with Jesus reading our daily devotional – HE REMAINS FAITHFUL
2Ti 2:13 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
Beloved, one major attribute that made God your loving Father, what He has been from eternity past to eternity future, is His undeniable and unfailing faithfulness.
Always remember this your Father in heaven is faithful through and through.
Deu 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;
1Co 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
It was this unfailing faithfulness that made saints of old in both old and new testaments to be able to stake their lives for anything pertaining to Him. See some of these saints. See how they all basked in the unfailing faithfulness of a God that can never fail and will never ever fail.
1. Abraham
Heb 11:17 — Heb 11:19 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
2. Sarah
Hebrews 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
3. Moses
Heb 11:24 — Heb 11:27 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
4. Paul apostle.
2Ti 1:11 — 2Ti 1:12 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
5 Job the patraich.
Job 19:25 — Job 19:26 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
6. The three Hebrews.
Dan 3:14 — Dan 3:18Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.
Beloved, that the challenges of your life is still confronting you does not make God unfaithful, unable to address it or unconcerned. Know this and don’t ever, ever forget.
1. The problem has a time frame. Just wait patiently for God, because He is doing something about it. You are the only one who does not see what is doing.
Isa 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God,Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone,a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation:he that believeth shall not make haste.
Heb 10:35 — Heb 10:39 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
2. There is a way out of this problem, so trust God.
1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
Psalms 62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
Beloved , if you check the Bible, many others have gone through what was more traumatic and fearsome than yours and they came out triumphantly. This same shall be your portion if you trust Him and patiently wait for Him.
Psa 37:7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
If anyone draws back see what shall happen to such person. It shall never be your portion. Whoever denies the Lord and opted for compromise and seek the help of the devil, shall loose here and hereafter. I am persuaded that you also shall join the heroes of faith and this challenge of yours shall soon turn to testimony and bring glory to God in the name of Jesus.
2Ti 2:11 — 2Ti 2:13 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
Luk 21:13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
Dearly beloved, let it be settled in your heart that ,
our Lord Jesus Christ, your loving redeemer is not just faithful. His name is faithful. See it
Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Rev 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
Rev 19:11 — Rev 19:13 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
All He demanded from all His followers of all ages and you in particular, is unashamed faithfulness. See His fearsome warning for any who do other wise. No doubt in my mind that nothing will ever make you to deny Him in Jesus name.
Mat 10:32 — Mat 10:33 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Luke 9:26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.
The blessed Holy Spirit who is the singular comforter of believers assured them never ever to deny Him. This is because there is no reason for such thing. Doing so has worrisome consequences here and hereafter. So never ever contemplate it. See it.
2Ti 2:11 — 2Ti 2:13 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
See the uniform testimonies of believers in Bible days and even in our contemporary times; who counted on the unfailing faithfulness of our most gracious Redeemer.
Rom 8:35 — Rom 8:39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Two things are the realities in the lifestyle of anyone that deny Christ. One such a person is a liar like satan and two such person does not have God the Father and His Son. Certainly none of these are your portion.
1Jo 2:22 — 1Jo 2:23 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Friend, one major virtue that shall characterise the livestyle of those that shall have part in the dawning rapture is the fact that, they counted Jesus our Lord faithful and they themselves followed Him in total faithfulness. Glory to God ,
you are one of such faithful believers. Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
Rev 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
Regretably, those that shall miss this dawning event are those who deny Jesus and they also are denied by Him, according to His unchanging infallible word
2Ti 2:11 — 2Ti 2:13 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
