I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. – Psalms 119:7
Dearly beloved brethren, God created you in particular to praise Him at all times.
Isaiah 43:21 This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
But then God gives conditions before praise and worship from anyone and everyone can be acceptable to Him.
Those who desire acceptance of their praise and worship, must be obedient to His total words in the Bible. This is because, God magnifies His words in the Bible above the praise and worship of anyone.
Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
No wonder the psalmist said he would praise God in uprightness and righteous. So that his praise can be acceptable to God.
Psalms 119:7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. – Psalms 119:7
Beloved, you must desire to meet the conditions of God, like the psalmist did, to make your own praise and worship too, to be acceptable.
There are three reasons why this becomes necessary absolutely.
1. God is a Spirit and must be worshipped in spirit and truth. Meaning obedience to His entire words in the Bible.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
2. God is holy. He accepts praise from holy saints of all ages which must include you.
Psalms 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
Psalms 50:5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
3. Praise and worship are sacrifice .
Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. – Psalms 119:7
However, God does not accept sacrifice of the wicked, living licentious lifestyle and outright disobedience.
Beloved see what God says about the sacrifice, meaning the praise and worship of the wicked and disobedient people in the church.
Proverbs 15:8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD:but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
Proverbs 21:27 The sacrifice of the wicked is abomination: how much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind?
Jeremiah 6:20 To what purpose cometh there to me incense from Sheba, and the sweet cane from a far country? your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me.
Jer 7:21 — Jer 7:23 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh. For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
Amo 5:21 — Amo 5:22 I hate, I despise your feast days,
and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies. Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them:
neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.
Isaiah 61:8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. – Psalms 119:7
Beloved endeavor to be saintly and your praise and worship shall be acceptable. This is because, you are called to be saint and to live saintly lifestyle, as long as you are alive.
1 Corinthians 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
Romans 1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
May the good Lord help you in particular to do as the Lord has commanded in His words in Jesus name.
Exodus 24:7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.
I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. – Psalms 119:7
