Dearly beloved brethren, you come again into another worthwhile attitude in the life of king David.
As a Bible believing believer, you must engage the blessed Holy Spirit to search and examine your life regularly, to help you check up the status of your spiritual life.
Psalms 139:23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
2nd Cor 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Whatever you discover, you don’t cover it up. If you need to make necessary repentance and possibly restitutions, you do so immediately.
Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies [ I have considered my ways and have turned my steps to your statutes ]. – Psalms 119:59
You must avoid the undoing of Adam ,that discover sin in his life, but covered it up and was punished.
Job 31:33 If I covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding mine iniquity in my bosom:
When Peter remememberd the word of Jesus about his denial, he wept and repented immediately and was pardoned.
Matthew 26:75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.
This right attitude was what this passage, revealed to us about king David.
He examined his life and discovered , he had missed the mark and he repented immediately. See it yourself.
