Dearly beloved brethren, you too like the saints of old should endear yourself to God. This you do by entering into a workable biblical covenant with Him . See this.

Psalms 50:5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
Psa 118:27 God is the Lord, which hath shewed us light:bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

As you look at the scriptures both in the old and new testaments you discover saints of old and Bible believing believers in the new testament, making workable biblical covenants with God. See some of them.

1. Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

Luk 12:50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!

2. Paul apostle.

Acts 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

3. The apostles of Christ.

Acts 6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

4. Samuel the prophet.

1 Samuel 12:23 Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:

5. Jephthah.

Judges 11:34-35 And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter. 11:35 And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the LORD, and I cannot go back.
I have sworn, and I will perform it [ taken an oath and confirmed it ], that I will keep thy righteous judgments [ rules and regulations ]. – Psalms 119:106

All of these saints including our Lord, knew that, no matter how challenging the situation can be, such oaths or covenants, can not be rescinded.

Psalms 15:4 In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

Beloved see the situation of our Lord and that of Jephthah.

Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jn 12:27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

Jephthah.

Judges 11:34-38 And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter. 11:35 And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the LORD, and I cannot go back. 11:36 And she said unto him, My father, if thou hast opened thy mouth unto the LORD, do to me according to that which hath proceeded out of thy mouth; forasmuch as the LORD hath taken vengeance for thee of thine enemies, even of the children of Ammon. 11:37 And she said unto her father, Let this thing be done for me: let me alone two months, that I may go up and down upon the mountains, and bewail my virginity, I and my fellows. 11:38 And he said, Go. And he sent her away for two months: and she went with her companions, and bewailed her virginity upon the mountains. 11:39 And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel,
I have sworn, and I will perform it [ taken an oath and confirmed it ], that I will keep thy righteous judgments [ rules and regulations ]. – Psalms 119:106

It was this desired endearment to God, that constrained king David to make a lifetime oath to keep the righteous judgements of the Lord. See it.

I have sworn, and I will perform it [ taken an oath and confirmed it ], that I will keep thy righteous judgments [ rules and regulations ]. – Psalms 119:106

See this scripture in other Bible versions.

NLT
Psalms 119:106 I’ve promised it once, and I’ll promise it again: I will obey your righteous regulations.

AMP BIBLE
Psalm 119:106 I have sworn [an oath] and have confirmed it, that I will keep Your righteous ordinances [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying them]. [Neh. 10:29.]

Beloved, see this scripture amplified and learn to do same.

I have sworn – Perhaps this means no more than that he had renewed his covenant with God; he had bound himself to love and serve him only.

Here is, 1. The notion David had of religion; it is keeping God’s righteous judgments. God’s commands are his judgments, the dictates of infinite wisdom. They are righteous judgments, consonant to the eternal rules of equity, and it is our duty to keep them carefully. 2. The obligation he here laid upon himself to be religious, binding himself, by his own promise, to that which he was already bound to by the divine precept, and all little enough. “I have sworn (I have lifted up my head to the Lord, and I cannot go back ) and therefore must go forward: I will perform it. ” Note, (1.) It is good for us to bind ourselves with a solemn oath to be religious. We must swear to the Lord as subjects swear allegiance to their sovereign, promising fealty, appealing to God concerning our sincerity in this promise, and owning ourselves liable to the curse of we do not perform it. (2.) We must often call to mind the vows of God that are upon us, and remember that we have sworn. (3.) We must make conscience of performing unto the Lord our oaths (an honest man will be as good as his word); nor have we sworn to our own hurt, but it will be unspeakably to our hurt if we do not perform.
Beloved what are you wanting for? You too deserve to be endeared to the Lord. But then, this is attained through workable lifetime biblical covenant.

See some oaths you too can make.

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Exodus 24:7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.
Luke 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Hebrews 10:38-39 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
Jude 1:3 Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

The good Lord shall help you in particular to live by your consecration in Jesus name.

I have sworn, and I will perform it [ taken an oath and confirmed it ], that I will keep thy righteous judgments [ rules and regulations ]. – Psalms 119:106
