Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | February 20, 2020. Enrich and Sustain your relationship with Jesus reading our daily devotional – Revelation 3:7-13 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Beloved, we have now come to the sixth letter, sent to one of the seven selected Asian churches. . See it.

Revelation 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

Even though the message was sent to them specially. It was also meant for you in particular, redeemed with the precious blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and savior.

Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Also because seven churches were selected for a purpose. As you are aware, seven means totality, finality, completeness, and perfection.

Revelation 1:20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches

The message was for the entire universal church of Christ, till the end of time, that shall culminate I’m the dawning rapture. It shall not elude you in particular in Jesus name.
It was for this, that made all the messages to end with, he or she that hath an ear. Praise God your own eat and heart had been opened by the Lord. Glory to His holy name.

Revelation 3:6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelation 3:13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelation 3:22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches

Beloved, no doubt you know the urgency to be attached to these messages. This is because of its imminence. It could happen before the close of today. It shall meet you prepared in Jesus name.

Revelation 1:1. The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Rev 22:10 — Rev 22:11 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

Beloved, once again you are aware of the worthwhile goal before you in particular.
You are set to be enlisted among the twenty four elders, who are the representatives of the raptured saints. God willing, you shall be one of them in Jesus name.

Rev 4:1 — Rev 4:4 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

Rev 5:6 — Rev 5:10 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

By the special grace of God, we shall be there together in Jesus name.
Beloved, remember what we discovered about this sixth church. See it again.

Rev 3:7 — Rev 3:8 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

This was another church worthy of emulation, like Symna.
Our Lord had nothing to correct but exhorted them to persevere to the end.
You must aspire with all your strength henceforth to be like this church. They were faultless and blameless..
It was possible for them by the grace of God. It shall be possible for you too in Jesus name.

Rev 14:4 — Rev 14:5 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

You are aware this glorious church not graceless, is what Jesus our Lord is coming for.

Eph 5:25 — Eph 5:27 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Let us know study the details of this church properly. So that you can learn lessons from their fidelity.

Rev 3:7 — Rev 3:13 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Beloved, this was another church like the one at Symna that our Lord had nothing to correct , but to commend and exhort. Hence , His comforting introduction.
Firstly, message was sent to the angel of the church. You are aware, you are doubling as both the church and angel of your world of influence.

Revelation 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.

What do you know about angels?
They are holy. See it.

Mat 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

The angels of God are holy and blameless.
This must be your goal as a member of Christ Church and leader in your world of influence.
You must be unashamedly holy. Biblical holiness that is faultless. See what the Bible says.

1 Thessalonians 2:10 Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:

1Th 4:3 — 1Th 4:4 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

1 Thessalonians 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

1Pe 1:14 — 1Pe 1:16 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Luk 1:74 — Luk 1:75 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

2Pe 3:11 — 2Pe 3:14 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

By whom this letter was signed even by the same Jesus who is alone the universal head of all the churches and here observe by what title he chooses to represent himself to this church:.
He that is holy, he that is true.
He that hath the key of David.
He that openeth, and none shall shut, and shutteth, and none openeth

Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

Revelation 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

You have his personal character: He that is holy and he that is true, holy in his nature, and therefore he cannot but be true to his word, for he hath spoken in his holiness .
Also his political character: He hath the key of David, he openeth, and no man shutteth he hath the key of the house of David, the key of government and authority in and over the church.
He opens. He opens a door of opportunity to his churches he opens a door of utterance to his ministers he opens a door of entrance, opens the heart .
He opens a door of admission into the visible church, laying down the terms of communion and he opens the door of admission into the church triumphant, according to the terms of salvation fixed by him.
In addition. He shuts the door.
When he pleases, he shuts the door of opportunity and the door of utterance, and leaves obstinate sinners shut up in the hardness of their hearts.
He shuts the door of church-fellowship against unbelievers and profane persons and he shuts the door of heaven against the foolish virgins who have slept away their day of grace, and against the workers of iniquity, how vain and confident soever they may be.

Revelation 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Isa 22:20 — Isa 22:22 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah: And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah. And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.

Both the key of knowledge and that of the kingdom, Christ has given to the church..

Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Luk 11:52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

The Church may open where Christ will shut, and shut where Christ will open. He alone openeth so that none shall strut, and shutteth so that none can open.

Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

I know thy works. Once more Christ’s judgment is based upon intimate personal knowledge.
Jesus knew their works. He knows yours too.

Hebrews 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Jer 23:23 — Jer 23:24 Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.

Remember, sooner than you think, all your works shall be made plain.
What do you think God will discover?

Ecc 12:13 — Ecc 12:14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Let’s come back to the church.
Christ puts them in mind of what he had done for them: I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it,
Because thou hast little power, and hast made a good use of that little, I have given thee an opportunity of which none shall deprive thee.
I have set it open, and kept it open, though there be many adversaries.
This refers to doors of opportunities to preach the gospel.
And also utrances for His ministers.

Acts 14:27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.

1 Corinthians 16:9 For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

2 Corinthians 2:12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ’s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,

Colossians 4:3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

Christ is to be acknowledged as the author of all the liberty and opportunity his churches enjoy
He takes notice and keeps account, how long he has preserved their spiritual liberties and privileges for them.
Wicked men envy the people of God their door of liberty, and would be glad to shut it against them .
If we do not provoke Christ to shut this door against us, men cannot do it.

Revelation 3:8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

If you too shall be obedient to Christ,to conscientiously reach out to the lost in your world of influence, He shall place an open door before you.

1 Corinthians 16:9 For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

In addition,, the Philadelphian Church, in spite of its small advantages, whether in numbers or prosperity, kept Christ’s word when called upon to deny him; and for this it shall ever have the privilege of giving others an entrance into Christ’s fold.
This church is commended: Thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name,
Thou hast a little strength, a little grace, which, though it be not proportionate to the wide door of opportunity which I have opened to thee, yet is true grace, and has kept thee faithful”
True grace, though weak, has the divine approbation but, though Christ accepts a little strength, yet believers should not rest satisfied in a little, but should strive to grow in grace, to be strong in faith, giving glory to God.
True grace, though weak, will do more than the greatest gifts or highest degrees of common grace, for it will enable the Christian to keep the word of Christ, and not to deny his name.
Obedience, fidelity, and a free confession of the name of Christ, are the fruits of true grace, and are pleasing to Christ as such.

Revelation 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

The grace of God enabled this church to be obedient to God:s entire unfailing words. The same grace is available for you too.
Remember, Jesus said you must live by the entirety of His words.

Jn 12:46 — Jn 12:48 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Rev 22:18 — Rev 22:19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Secondly.

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

The Church of Smyrna was encouraged with a promise that their Jewish opponents should not be victorious over them. The Philadelphian Christians are told that they shall be victorious over their Jewish opponents
Those who “say they are Jews, and they are not,” are Jews who refuse to believe in the Messiah and reject the Gospel. The only true Jews are those who accept the Christ. They are not, but do lie.

Isaiah 60:14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 49:23 And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.

Christ would make this church’s enemies subject to her
Those enemies are described to be such as said they were Jews, but lied in saying so–pretended to be the only and peculiar people of God, but were really the synagogue of Satan.
Assemblies that worship God in spirit and in truth are the Israel of God .
Assemblies that either worship false gods, or the true God in a false manner, are the synagogues of Satan: though they may profess to be the only people of God, their profession is a lie
Their subjection to the church is described: They shall worship at thy feet not pay a religious and divine honour to the church itself, nor to the ministry of it, but shall be convinced that they have been in the wrong, that this church is in the right and is beloved of Christ,
They shall desire to be taken into communion with her and that they may worship the same God after the same manner.
How shall this great change be wrought?
By the power of God upon the hearts of his enemies, and by signal discoveries of his peculiar favour to his church:
They shall know that I have loved thee. Observe, First, The greatest honour and happiness any church can enjoy consist in the peculiar love and favour of Christ.
Secondly, Christ can discover this his favour to his people in such a manner that their very enemies shall see it, and be forced to acknowledge it.
Thirdly, This will, by the grace of Christ, soften the hearts of their enemies, and make them desirous to be admitted into communion with them.

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee

Revelation 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Beloved, are there people mocking you today because of your rigid unbending adherence to God’s word?
Is a matter of time. God shall vindicate you in Jesus name.
Look at this testimony. It shall happen in your life in Jesus name.

Dan 3:28 — Dan 3:29 Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

Thirdly.

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Because thou didst keep the word of my patience, I also will keep thee.
Another instance of favor that Christ promises to this church is persevering grace in the most trying times
And this as the reward of their past fidelity. To him that hath shall be given. Here observe,
The gospel of Christ is the word of his patience.
It is the fruit of the patience of God to a sinful world it sets before men the exemplary patience of Christ in all his sufferings for men it calls those that receive it to the exercise of patience in conformity to Christ
This gospel should be carefully kept by all that enjoy it they must keep up to the faith, and practice, and worship prescribed in the gospel
After a day of patience we must expect an hour of temptation a day of gospel peace and liberty is a day of God’s patience, and it is seldom so well improved as it should be and therefore it is often followed by an hour of trial and temptation
Sometimes the trial is more general and universal it comes upon all the world, and, when it is so general, it is usually the shorter

Luke 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Luke 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Beloved be very patient. God shall fulfill His promises in your life in Jesus name.

Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Hebrews 6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Heb 10:35 — Heb 10:39 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

keep, and ye shall be kept. “I know mine own, and mine own know me”
Those who keep the gospel in a time of peace shall be kept by Christ in an hour of temptation. By keeping the gospel they are prepared for the trial and the same divine grace that has made them fruitful in times of peace will make them faithful in times of persecution.

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

John 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

Forthly,

Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Christ calls the church to that duty which he before promised he would enable her to do, and that is, to persevere, to hold fast that which she had
The duty itself: “Hold fast that which thou hast, that faith, that truth, that strength of grace, that zeal, that love to the brethren thou hast been possessed of this excellent treasure, hold it fast”
The motives, taken from the speedy appearance of Christ: “Behold, I come quickly. See, I am just a coming to relieve them under the trial, to reward their fidelity, and to punish those who fall away they shall lose that crown which they once seemed to have a right to, which they hoped for, and pleased themselves with the thoughts of.
The persevering Christian shall win the prize from backsliding professors, who once stood fair for it.”
Beloved, endeavor to hold on to the entirety of the scriptures that you have received, till Christ comes.

John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Revelation 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Revelation 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

which is a promise. Here the declaration is one of encouragement to the Church—

Revelation 2:25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

Fifthly,

Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

After his usual manner, our Saviour promises a glorious reward to the victorious believer, in two things
Him that overcometh will I make a pillar.
He shall be a monumental pillar in the temple of God not a pillar to support the temple (heaven needs no such props), but a monument of the free and powerful grace of God, a monument that shall never be defaced nor removed,.
On this monumental pillar there shall be an honourable inscription, as in those cases is usual
The name of God, in whose cause he engaged, whom he served, and for whom he suffered in this warfare and the name of the city of God, the church of God, the new Jerusalem, which came down from heaven.
On this pillar shall be recorded all the services the believer did to the church of God, how he asserted her rights, enlarged her borders, maintained her purity and honour .
And then another part of the inscription is, The new name of Christ, the Mediator, the Redeemer, the captain of our salvation by this it will appear under whose banner this conquering believer had enlisted, under whose conduct he acted, by whose example he was encouraged, and under whose influence he fought the good fight, and came off victorious.

Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

The “overcoming” is a present continuous process, but will have a termination, and then he who has faithfully fought the daily battle will be made a pillar, steadfast, immovable.

Revelation 3:13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Beloved, you have overcome. This is because greater is he one in you than the one in the world.
Overcome satan , sin , self, flesh and the world.

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

1Jo 5:4 — 1Jo 5:5 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

1Jo 2:28 — 1Jo 2:29 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming. If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

The epistle is closed up with the demand of attention: He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches, how Christ loves and values his faithful people, how he commends, and how he will crown their fidelity

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Certainly you have an ear and you have heard. See you at the top in Jesus name.
