Dearly beloved brethren, there is an humbling truth revealed in the Bible about the entirety of humanity of all ages and that includes you.

It is very easy to discern and discoverer whether you are spiritual or natural.

1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned

Only those who esteemed the word of God above any other things are spiritual.

Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips;I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

Be very sincere, does God’s unfailing ,unchanging and eternal words, have finality over your life?

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

King David said, he esteemed God’s words more than all riches.

Psalms 119:14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches

Several other scriptures affirmed that a Bible believing believer that must include you must place great value on the word of God, more than any other things.

Psalms 119:72 The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

Psalms 119:103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Psalms 119:127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

Jeremiah 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

Beloved see how this same passage was amplified to affirm that, you must esteem God’s unfailing unchanging and eternal words more than anything in your life.

1. I have rejoiced –

He must consider it his chief happiness to be found in the path of obedience, giving his whole heart and strength to God; and when enabled to do it, he should rejoice more in it than if he had gained thousands of gold and silver. O how great is the treasure of a tender and approving conscience!

2.I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches (comp. Psalms 119:72). God’s Word is a treasure, beyond expression precious, calculated to rejoice the heart of all such as possess it.

Beloved , the Bible reveals to you the reasons why you should give preference to God’s words more than anything else .

1. The word of God is power of God in your life.

Luk 4:32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.

2. Help you to grow.

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

3. Wisdom of God for you to be wise

Deuteronomy 4:6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.

4. Keep you from failing into sin.

Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

5. Lamp to your feet

Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

6. Sword of the Spirit for you to contend in warfare.

Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

7. Help you to partake in the dawning rapture and avoid great tribulation.

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Beside this it can not fail. It will accomplish what it says.

Isaiah 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Luke 1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

So what is going to be your lifelong resolution to God’s words from now until Jesus comes?

Exodus 24:7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.

The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.
