Dearly beloved brethren, always remember, if you are going to be victorious over sin. It takes conscientious decision.

It does not just happen. It will take deliberate efforts from your part to do it.

See the following resolutions of men of like passion like you.

1. Job

Job 31:1 I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?

2. King David

Psalms 39:1 I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
Psalms 17:4 Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer.
Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

3. Daniel

Daniel 1:8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

4. Paul apostle.

1 Corinthians 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Joseph.

Genesis 39:9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?
I have refrained my feet [ refused to walk ] from every evil way, that I might keep [ remain obedient ] thy word. – Psalms 119:101

No wonder, the scriptures provides Bible believing believers many admonitions to restrain from sin. See some of them.

Proverbs 1:10 -15 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not. 1:11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: 1:12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: 1:13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil: 1:14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse: 1:15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
Psalms 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
1 Corinthians 10:1-12 1 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

It was the desire of king David not to fall into sin, so he made deliberate efforts to keep himself from sinning against God. See his efforts.

I have refrained my feet [ refused to walk ] from every evil way, that I might keep [ remain obedient ] thy word. – Psalms 119:101

See this same passage in other Bible versions.

NLT
Psalms 119:101 I have refused to walk on any evil path, so that I may remain obedient to your word.

AMP BIBLE
Psalm 119:101 I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep Your word [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying it].

See this same passage amplified.

Here is, 1. David’s care to avoid the ways of sin: “I have refrained my feet from the evil ways they were ready to step aside into. I checked myself and drew back as soon as I was aware that I was entering into temptation.” Though it was a broad way, a green way, a pleasant way, and a way that many walked in, yet, being a sinful way, it was an evil way, and he refrained his feet from it, foreseeing the end of that way. And his care was universal; he shunned every evil way. By the words of thy lips I have kept myself from the paths of the destroyer, His care to be found in the way of duty; That I might keep thy word, and never transgress it. His abstaining from sin was, (1.) An evidence that he did conscientiously aim to keep God’s word and had made that his rule. (2.) It was a means of his keeping God’s word in the exercises of religion; for we cannot with any comfort or boldness attend on God in holy duties, so as in them to keep his word, while we are under guilt or in any by-way.
Dearly beloved this was the path that saints of old and Bible days believers have taken to be victorious over sin.

Sin is dambable.

Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
I have refrained my feet [ refused to walk ] from every evil way, that I might keep [ remain obedient ] thy word. – Psalms 119:101

Our Lord admonished you to be free from sin, for blissful eternity.

John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

You also like king David must make conscientious efforts to live victoriously above sin. God’s grace shall avail for you in particular in Jesus name.

Titus 2:11-12 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
I have refrained my feet [ refused to walk ] from every evil way, that I might keep [ remain obedient ] thy word. – Psalms 119:101
