Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | October 14, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads – Psalms 109:25.

Dearly beloved brethren, both in the old and new testaments, the scriptures revealed, the shameful and painful things that Jesus Christ our Lord went through, for Him to accomplish the redemption of humanity and you in particular . See some of these things.

Psalms 109:25. I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

Psa 69:9 For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

Romans 15:3. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.

Isa 50:5 — Isa 50:6 The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious,neither turned away back. I gave my back to the smiters,and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

Isa 53:4 — Isa 53:7 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter,and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb,so he openeth not his mouth.

Lamentations 1:12. Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.

Mar 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Beloved, in the same way He suffered reproaches for redeeming you from earthly and eternal consequences of sins, so also God will permit you also to suffer for His sake, in appreciation of what He had done for you in particular.

Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Matthew 5:11. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Romans 8:36. As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Beloved, you shall be hated for belonging to Christ.,

Jn 15:18 — Jn 15:19 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Jn 17:14 — Jn 17:16. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

1Jo 3:13. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

Dearly beloved brethren , when you begin to experience this, don’t be surprised. Don’t be moved. It is a worthwhile suffering, which shall culminate in stupendous glory. It shall be so for you in particular in Jesus name. .

Rom 8:17 — Rom 8:18. And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

1Pe 4:12 — 1Pe 4:13 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy

So endure it joyfully. This is because, you believe in a gospel worth living for and also what dying for. Always remember this.

2 Timothy 2:3. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

The good Lord shall help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.
