November 1, 2019 – Serve God Acceptably, with Reverence and Awe

Heb 12:28 – 29 – Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us be thankful. By it, we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe, For our God is a consuming fire.

Beloved. it is true without no iota of doubt that God your loving Father in heaven is a very very loving God. But also remember, He is to be reverentially feared.

This is because He is a consuming fire. He must not be taken for granted See what the scriptures says about Him in both old and new testaments.

Deut 4:24 For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God

The preachers of today don’t teach their congregations the fear of God. Remember, Adam took God for granted, He lost Eden, the paradise on Earth.

Lot:s wife took God for granted, she became a pillar of salt and perished.

The first world took God for granted and they were destroyed with flood. The children of Israel took God for granted, eleven days journey became forty years.

This shall not be your portion in Jesus name.

Deu 1:2 There are eleven days’ journey from Horeb by the way of mount Seir unto Kadeshbarnea.)

Please learn not to take God for granted. He is in deed a consuming fire. See He said you in particular should fear Him.

Jeremiah 5:22 Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it:

and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it.

The Bible warns all and sundry and that includes you, to fear God..

Rev 15:4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

Jer 10:7 Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.

Majority of churchgoers , globally which must exclude you have no fear of God in their lives and they are paying dearly for this costly negligence on this side of heaven and at eternity.

This shall not be your portion. Please fear God.

Romans 3:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Jer 2:19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee:

know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord God of hosts.

Jer 5:24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest.

Beloved, see what it takes to fear God.

Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil :pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Always remember this, those who shall partake in that glorious kingdom must have reverential fear for God, because He is both love and consuming fire.

Dearly beloved, no doubt you know Jesus our Lord is the truth personified.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Every word He said must be held with fear and reverence. He has been with His Father from eternity past. See what He said about His Father and your Father.

Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea,I say unto you, Fear him.

Dearly beloved, because you shall partake of the glorious kingdom He is coming to take you into. See what you must be determinedly doing.

He did not give you the spirit of fear to be terrified by Satan.

2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Phi 1:28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

But He gave you broken and contrite spirit to tremble at His words and have reverential fear for Him.

Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

1Pe 2:17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

1Pe 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

God’s abounding grace shall avail for you and you in particular shall not miss the glorious kingdom prepared for the people of God in Jesus name.

Friend, if you have reverential fear for God, then you can relax your mind and be sure that the dawning rapture shall not elude you. It shall not in Jesus name.

Heb 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire..

Friend, reverential fear of God will help you to do two things that shall help you partake in the imminent event.

1. You shall be living in biblical holiness.

2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

2. You will have the same spirit Noah had, that made him escaped the flood that destroyed the first world.

Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

So begin from now till Jesus comes heeding the exhortation of the Bible to fear God. Receive grace to do so in Jesus name.

Rev 14:7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Rev 15: 4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
