Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | October 31, 2019 – Hebrews 12:15 – Dealing with the ROOT OF BITTERNESS that might SPRING UP to TROUBLE you.

Heb 12:15 – Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

Beloved, it wonderful for you to know that your Father in heaven has been from eternity past and shall remain till eternity future. He is the sole creator of all things and all beings, including satan , His arch enemy and yours too.

Satan one of the created beings like you has been around this side of heaven for about six thousand years now.

Since he fell from glory to grass, he had vowed determinedly to hurt God’s children and hinder their eternal well-being. But He shall fail abysmally concerning you in particular in Jesus name.

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Beloved, glory to God you have His wisdom. Remember no matter how long you spend on this side of heaven. It is very very negligible, insignificant and infinitesimal compared with the time you shall spend in eternity.

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

You must not and you in particular shall not fall a victim of the wiles and cruel subtilities of satan, your arch enemy.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

His unchanging ambition is to make his victims trade their eternal well-being like Esau with transient ephemeral.

Gen 25:29 And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint: And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.

Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.

As you have always been doing till you meet Jesus in the dawning rapture, decline his deceptive damnable offers like Joseph and Moses did.

Gen 39:7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand;

There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

Moses.

Heb 11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

Dearly beloved, is it not surprising that Jesus Christ our Lord and savior was severely tempted just like you. But then praise God, He never for once yielded. Glory to God you also shall do the same till He comes.

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

See how satan tempted our Lord with inconsequential ephemeral.

Luk 4:5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

He declined satans offer and warned His followers of all ages and you especially not to do same.

Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

See how believers in Bible days triumphed. You also shall do like them in Jesus name.

Peter rejected the offer of money to sell the gift of God.

Act 8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.

Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

Paul stayed two years in prison for refusing to give Felix the governor bribe.

Act 24:24 And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ. And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee. He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him. But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix’ room: and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.

But very very unfortunately some went the way of Esau and were damned. You shall not be damned in Jesus name.

Judas sold his soul for thirty pieces of silver.

Mat 26:14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

Demas lost his soul for loving the world.

2 Timothy 4:10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

Balaam the merchandise prophet.

2Pe 2:15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet.

Jud 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

This shall never be your portion in Jesus name.

Friend, the singular reason why many so called believers shall miss the dawning rapture, is because they yielded to the subtle temptations of satan and traded their eternal well being with shameful inconsequential transient ephemeral. This you must not do and you shall not in Jesus name.

For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

To help you in particular to avoid this damnable attitude. Commit yourself determinedly to be doing the following till Christ comes.

1. Every decision you take must give priority to your eternal estate.

Col 3:1 — If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

2. Don’t love the world and it’s damnable and shameful practices.

1Jo 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

3. Don’t learn how the worldlings do business, get married or get rich.

Deuteronomy 18:9 When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.

Jeremiah 10:2 Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen,

and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

4. Don’t be unequally yoked together in business, marriage and worship with the worldlings.

2nd Cor 6:14 – Dont be unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

God”s grace shall avail for you in particular in Jesus name.
