Philippians 3:3. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Beloved, if you cast your mind back and ponder on happenings in the time past , you will discover the undoings of great men in the time past. The likes of Pharaoh, Goliath, Sennacherib etc.
They boasted on their physical might and it failed them abysmally .ultimately. Moses triumphed over Pharaoh because he relied solely on the sufficiency of the Lord. David brought down Goliath because, he leaned on the might of the Lord of hosts.
The one hundred and eighty five thousand soldiers which were the strength of Sennacherib were slain by an angel over night and king Hezekiah triumphed over him.
The victors relied on the sufficiency of the most High, while the victims relied on their physical abilities and prowess.
Pause here and be very sincere to yourself. What are you relying on in your life? The people you know, your wealth, your beauty, your sensual knowledge or the unfailing invincibility of our loving Father in heaven? See what the scriptures says.
Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Psalms 147:10-11. He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man. The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.
Psalms 20:7-8. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.
Psalms 62:5. My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
Psalms 34:5. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
Proverbs 3:26. For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
Isaiah 26:3. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
2 Chronicles 32:7-8. Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him: With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
Beloved, vain is the help of the arm of flesh and your own prowess. They will fail at the critical time you needed it most. See how the scriptures describe those who lean on themselves or arm of flesh
Psalms 60:11-12 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
Isaiah 2:22. Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
Jeremiah 17:5-8. Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Beloved make a vow and determined resolve never ever from now on to rely on your ability or capability or men and women of influence you know. It bring the curse of God upon the person and it is not dependable at all.
Philippians 3:3. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Rather than, the arm of flesh or help of man, look up to God and God alone for unfailing help always and you shall never ever be disappointed here and hereafter in Jesus name.
Isaiah 40:29 -31. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 41:10: ¶Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Dearly beloved, Jesus our Lord left believers of all ages and you a legacy that you must embrace and make a lifestyle till you meet Him. During His earthly ministry,, He relied and depended solely on His Father in everything. See what He said.,
John 8:28. Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
John 5:19: Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
John 5:30: I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
This same attitude, He taught Bible days believers and by extension you, never to rely on yourself or any arm of flesh but Him alone.
John 15:4-5. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
John 15:7: If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Matthew 10:19 -20 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.
Luke 21:15: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
Luke 24:49: ¶And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
It was this leaning solely on Christ as a lifestyle for the wellbeing of believers here and hereafter, that the blessed Holy Spirit further established and encouraged believers and you to practice and engage of a lifetime. See it.

1 Peter 1:23-25. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
Apostle Paul affirmed that He had many advantages that could have profited him as a result of his affiliation to the flesh, but he counted then as dung for the excellency of Christ Jesus our Lord. You too must do same.
Philippians 3:4-8. Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
But rather than leaning or depending on the fleshly advantages, he relied solely on the sufficiency of the grace of God. See it and do same henceforth.
1 Corinthians 3:6: I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
1 Corinthians 3:10: According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

Philippians 3:3. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Endeavour to commit yourself to doing what the Bible says shall guarantee your readiness. Remember Jesus is coming a glorious church and believers that are alive biblically not physically.
Those whose names are in the book of life and are doing all things from the perspective of eternity.
Ephesians 5:25-27. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Colossians 3:1-4. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
1 Thessalonians 4:15-17. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
