2 Kings 7:9 Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.
Beloved you should aspire to do great things for God. This is because you have a better covenant than everyone in the old testament.
Heb 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
This covenant makes you to move a step further than everyone in the old testament. They had God as God alone. But you have God as your God and your Father.
John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Beloved, because of this your enviable position, you must commit yourself totally to the business of your Father in heaven, after the order of Jesus Christ.
Luke 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?
Jesus our Lord from the outset of His earthly ministry, to the end, commited Himself to seeking the lost and rescuing the perishing. He did this, because that was His Father’s and your Father’s business.
Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
John 17:4. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

This He did because your Father has insatiable passion to see the lost saved and He had done so much for this to happen. See some of the things He did to affirm His passionate desire , both in the old and new testaments.
Psalms 68:11 The Lord gave the word:great was the company of those that published it.
Isa 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace;that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation;that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
Ezk 22:30 — Ezk 22:31 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God.
Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Jn 3:16 — Jn 3:17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Beloved, if you know all these and failed to follow the exemplary lifestyle of Jesus in rescuing the perishing, you do not well.
In fact you must take a cue from the action of the ten lepers in the old testament, who through their proclamation of the good tidings
facilitated the end of famine in Samaria, according to the prophesy of Elisha.

2 Kings 7:16 And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the Lord.

Beloved, remember the following things, don’t ever forget.
1. If you don’t preach the gospel, the sinners will not know Christ Jesus the Savior and they would not be saved.
Rom 10:13 — Rom 10:15 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
2. If you fail to preach the gospel, you are disobedient to be great commission from Christ and hindering the global preaching of the gospel according to Jesus.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

3. When you fall to preach the gospel, you have wasted the kingdom gift, Jesus gave you for the purpose.
Luke 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
4. If you fall to preach the gospel, you lack Christlike compassion, through which you would have pulled sinners out of fire of damnation.
Jud 1:22 — Jud 1:23 And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
5. If you fail to preach the gospel, you would allow backslders to be damned unreached.
Jam 5:19 — Jam 5:20 Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
6. But then you will not fall to preach the gospel, so that you follow the exemplary lifestyle of Christ, who was commited to His Father’s business and Paul apostle, who placed a curse on himself, should he failed to preach the gospel.
1Co 9:16 — 1Co 9:17 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
The good Lord shall help you and reward you here and hereafter, for rescuing the perishing in Jesus name.
