God’s View Of Complainers; Stop Complaining | And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the Lord burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp. – Numbers 11:1
Dearly beloved, we give God all the glory for making you and your family witness in good health and happiness, this year 2020’s Easter.
Everything the death of Jesus can do on this side of heaven and at eternity shall be your portion in Jesus name.
How else can you show your gratitude to Christ, for His shameful and painful excruciating substitutionary vicarious sacrifice?
It is by following His exemplary lifestyle during His earthly ministry, especially at a time like this.
This becomes necessary because, everything out Lord did was an example for His followers of all ages and you in particular to follow.
God’s View Of Complainers; Stop Complaining | And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and his anger was kindled; – Numbers 11:1
1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
It is very important for you to know that our Lord earned most of the things the Father did to Him on merit.
If you also must receive anything on this side or at eternity, you are going to earn them on merit.
I am sure you have read that our Lord had the Spirit of God without measure.
John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
How did this happen? See it.
Heb 1:8 — Heb 1:9 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
God’s View Of Complainers; Stop Complaining | And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and his anger was kindled; – Numbers 11:1
He also had a name above every other names. How did this happen?
Phi 2:5 — Phi 2:11 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
God’s View Of Complainers; Stop Complaining | And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and his anger was kindled; – Numbers 11:1
He is presently sitting at the right hand of majesty in heaven. A position He earned by merit.
Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Now look at this. Very enviable accolade and encomium from the Father.
Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Matthew 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
God’s View Of Complainers; Stop Complaining | And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and his anger was kindled; – Numbers 11:1
See what our Lord did to earn the enviable commendation.
He went extra mile to please the Father in all things and at all times.
Remember, don’t forget, He did it as an example for you in particular to follow. This is not optional but compulsory.
Obviously, they are inexhaustible, but look at some milestones.
Jn 8:28 — Jn 8:29 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
John 14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
John 17:4. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 5:8 — Heb 5:9 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Hebrews 7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
God’s View Of Complainers; Stop Complaining | And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and his anger was kindled; – Numbers 11:1
Dearly beloved, it is very very unfortunate, that majority of the professors of religion globally, instead of pleasing the Father, like our Lord did, they displeased Him with unashamed impunity.
Pause here and be very sincere to examine yourself. Are you pleasing our Father in heaven, like Jesus did or are you displeasing Him?
The painful thing, however about displeasing God, is that, as God commended our Lord and rewarded Him. So also will He condemn and punish anyone and everyone displeasing Him, now and at eternity. This shall not be your portion in Jesus name. So don’t displease our loving Father.
See those who displeased Him and then punishments.
1. The children of Israel.
Num 11:1 And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the Lord burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.
2. Onan the son of Judah.
Gen 38:9 — Gen 38:10 And Onan knew that the seed should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his brother’s wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should give seed to his brother. And the thing which he did displeased the Lord: wherefore he slew him also.
3. King David
2Sa 11:27 And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased the Lord.
2Sa 12:9 — 2Sa 12:12 Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon. Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast despised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife. Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun. For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.
King David counted Israel contrary to God’s word.
1Ch 21:7 — 1Ch 21:8 And God was displeased with this thing; therefore he smote Israel. And David said unto God, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing: but now, I beseech thee, do away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.
God’s View Of Complainers; Stop Complaining | And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and his anger was kindled; – Numbers 11:1
Dearly beloved, there is something greater that also happens to those displeasing the Lord. It has eternal consequence.
This is what you see today among the nominal churchgoers globally professing religion.
They rejected the truth. See it.
Isaiah 59:15 Yea, truth faileth;
and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey:
and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.
2Th 2:10 — 2Th 2:12 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
God’s View Of Complainers; Stop Complaining | And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and his anger was kindled; – Numbers 11:1
I am persuaded of you that you do not fall into the categories of these people.
But just in case you are, repent immediately. This is because anyone and everyone displeasing the Lord shall not be part of the dawning rapture and the person shall be damned. You shall not be in Jesus name. So don’t reject any truth of God’s words in the Bible.
It is because of this, that God gave this timely warning. May the Lord help you to take advantage of it in Jesus name.
Zch 1:1 — Zch 1:4. In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying, The Lord hath been sore displeased with your fathers. Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the Lord.
God’s View Of Complainers; Stop Complaining | And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and his anger was kindled; – Numbers 11:1
Please turn to God and be obedient to Him.
Jeremiah 7:23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
