John 21:20-22. Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. Beloved, God your loving Father in heaven wants you to fulfil your destiny. You in particular shall fulfil destiny in Jesus name. However, don’t fall into the undoing of multitudes of God’s people who failed in life. God was not responsible for their failures .
It was their lack of knowledge to realise the remarkable differences or unique peculiarities of each persons, that caused their inability to fulfil their destinies. Never ever desire to be like anyone or anybody. God had created you in particular, uniquely. There are no two persons on the face of the earth that are the same.
Psalms 139:14. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
See this and learn a great lesson. Moses and Joshua. Peter and Paul.
Moses needed the rod of God for miracles.
Exodus 4:17. And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.
Exodus 4:20. And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand.
Joshua needed the wisdom of God for breakthroughs.
Deuteronomy 34:9. And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the Lord commanded Moses.
Peter’s shadow brought desired miracles to multitudes of people.
Acts 5:14-16. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.) Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
Paul did divers miracles through the usage of handkerchiefs or aprons.
Acts 19:11-12. And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
Beloved, many failed in life, because they wanted to be like someone else. See the beginning of the undoing of Israel as a nation.
1 Samuel 8:4-5. Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
1 Samuel 8:19-20. Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us; That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.
But then see the plan of God for them. They wanted to be like other nations, while God wanted them to be peculiar and unique. Remember, God wants you too, to be unique. Do not be a copy card. Don’t copy anyone. Don’t desire to be like anyone. Remain yourself and fulfil destiny. The good Lord shall help you in Jesus name.
Exodus 19:5-6. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
Deuteronomy 4:20: But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, evenout of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.
Deuteronomy 7:6: For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.
Deuteronomy 14:2: For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.
Deuteronomy 26:18 -19 And the LORD hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments; And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the LORD thy God, as he hath spoken.
Psalms 33:12: Blessed is the nation whose God isthe LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
Psalms 135:4. For the Lord hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.
Isaiah 41:8: But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend.
Isaiah 43:21: This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.
Isaiah 44:1: Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:
Isaiah 61:6: But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
Beloved, discover your uniqueness and never copy anyone in life. Never compare yourself with any other person, whoever they are. See Peter comparing his calling with that of John the beloved and Jesus had to correct him, sharply.
Never see anybody in life as more privileged than you. Remember, God fearfully and wonderfully created you, to be unique. There is no other person that can be compared to you. So remain yourself.
John 21:19-24. This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me. Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
Dearly beloved, worldly ideologies can not be compared with Kingdom’s principles. Things that are acceptable norms in the school of thoughts will fail abysmally in the kingdom of God.
It might be acceptable in the world to compare themselves and strive to be like others, but not in the kingdom, now that you are a believer. You must consciously erase the worldly ways of doing things from your memory, if you must fulfil destiny through God. In the world you belief in self.
You have so much confidence in self. In the kingdom you relegate self completely and trust in God solely and wholeheartedly.
Philippians 3:3. For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
The worldly systems lean on the arms of flesh but believers have confidence in God alone.
2 Chronicles 32:8. With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
Proverbs 3:26. For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
So do away completely with the habit of comparing yourself with anyone or anybody, whoever they are. Whatever their accomplishments in life. God can even do more through you, if you lean on Him and be yourself.
2 Corinthians 10:12. For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
Hebrews 13:5. Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Luke 18:11: The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
Remember, you are a peculiar person, wonderfully and fearfully created by God.
1 Peter 2:9. But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Titus 2:14: Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
The Lord’s calling upon your life are both high and holy.
Philippians 3:14: I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 1:9: Who hath saved us, and called uswith an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
So begin to shine as light wherever you find yourself, never be like the vast majority of other people, even though they call themselves churchgoers or believers.
Matthew 5:16: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Philippians 2:15. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Live by these principles.
1. Others may do anything, I can not do anything.
2. Others can go anyway. You must only go the ways of God, the way of holiness. The narrow way.
3. Others might aspire to be anything . You must not. You don’t aspire permissive will of God, but His perfect will. This was what Jesus did. That is why, the only person you can and must aspire to be like is Jesus and Jesus alone.
John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
John 17:19: And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
So be like Him and avoid asking questions like Peter. Why is God demanding so much obedience from me, while others that profess to be Christians like me are living frivolous lifestyle? Don’t compare yourself with others. May the Lord help you to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.
JESUS’S REVELATION OF THE REMARKABLE DIFFERENCE OR PECULIARITY OF EACH
PERSONS OR CALLING , BEFORE GOD.
Friend, you must not be weary in well doing. You must not be tired in your preparations for the coming of the Lord. The end time is here and rapture is dawning.
Galatians 6:9. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
This looming event is meant for those who have being bought with the precious blood of Jesus.
Acts 20:28: ¶Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
These people that shall partake in this event are peculiar people. They don’t compare themselves with others. They are addicted the ministry of the saints, doing only what the Bible says.
1 Corinthians 16:15. I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)
These are the things that made them peculiar :
1. They are striving always to depart from everything the Bible calls evil and also avoiding defiling their temple.
Isaiah 52:11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord.
1 Corinthians 3:17: If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
2. They are not unequally yoked with the world and their systems.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
3. They are mindful that, they were in darkness prior to their conversion, but now they are in the light, so they don’t fellowship with works of darkness. They don’t go to clubs or towns meeting.
Ephesians 5:8: For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Colossians 1:13: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Ephesians 5:11: And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
4. They are awake to righteousness and not sleeping spiritually.
1 Corinthians 15:34. Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.
1 Thessalonians 5:4-8. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
