Matt 5:23 – Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Phm 1:12 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me: Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:
Beloved, saints and believers of old have one unique virtue that you must imbibe and embrace. They took God’s words seriously and lived with eternity in view. One of the things God commanded His faithful saints to do to please Him and prepare them to live with Him eternally, was to ensure their past wrongs were corrected.
Ecclesiastes 3:15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
Paul apostle was conscious of this lifestyle all His days. At a particular time in his life, he was imprisoned . While there a young man was brought to the prison who absconded from his master after defrauding him. The long arm of the law caught up with him eventually and was kept in prison, where Paul was.
According to Paul”s manner, he preached the Gospel to him and he became a devoted believer very very useful to Paul apostle. When he got to know what brought him to proson, he did something very commendable, which you to must do as a Bible believing beluever.
This converts name was Onesimus and his master’s name , who also was a faithful and beloved believrer known to Paul apostle was Philemon
Now when Onesimus completed his time of imprisonment and was to be realised. Paul instead of keeping him, even though now very useful to him and would have loved to stay with him , sent him back to his master. He did what the Bible referred to as restitution, correcting our past wrongs. See it.
Phm 1:10 — Phm 1:12 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me: Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:
See what he did , before he was brought up prison and met Paul apostle.
Philemon 1:13 Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
Phm 1:17 — Phm 1:20 If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself. If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account; I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides. Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.
Paul promised , to pay back to Philemon, all the money Onesimus stole that led to his imprisonment. He helped him to correct his past wrongs. Pause a little here. Have you corrected your past wrongs? Have you done your restitution? If you are going to be like Bible days saints and believers and you really wants to live with God at eternity, you must do your restitution s and correct your past wrongs.
See what the Bible has to say about various restitution, God expects believers of all ages and you in particular to do.
1 Marriage : if you have divorced your spouse to marry another.
Gen 20:6 — Gen 20:7 And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her. Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.
2. Stolen things: if you have stollen to enrich yourself, before your conversion.
Exo 22:1 — Exo 22:5 IIf a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep. If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him. If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft. If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double. If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man’s field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution.
3. Restoration of things gotten through deception. If you have deceived others to be rich before your conversion.
Lev 6:1 — Lev 6:5 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the Lord, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour; Or have found that which was lost, and lieth concerning it, and sweareth falsely; in any of all these that a man doeth, sinning therein: Then it shall be, because he hath sinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he took violently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or that which was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found, Or all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restore it in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto, and give it unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespass offering.
4. Restitution done to the Lord, when you can not locate the person defrauded. . If you can not locate the person you defrauded. Do it to the Lord. Drop it in the offering box of your church.
Num 5:5 — Num 5:8 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the Lord, and that person be guilty; Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed. But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the Lord, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.
Paying back debts. Endeavor to pay back your debts to those you are owing.
Ezk 33:14 — Ezk 33:16 Again, when I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do that which is lawful and right; If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die. None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live.
May God help you to obey Him. This is a very important requirement for living with God in eternity. If you don’t want to correct your past as outlined above. Don’t bother about eternity with God. But if you really wants to live with God eternally, which I am persuaded is your goal.
Then make sure you correct your past. The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.
Ecclesiastes 3:15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
Dearly beloved, you know that Jesus our Lord is the truth personified. He knows the truth, through and through.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus said , the only thing that authenticate the biblical salvation of all His believers of all ages including you is restitution. See it.
Luk 19:8 — Luk 19:9 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
It means any believer who fails to correct his or her past does not have biblical salvation, that can earn the person eternity with Him. Please attach importance to the words of our Lord.
He went further to encourage anyone who wants to serve Him and be rewarded in eternity for such services, to correct their pasts and do their restitution.
This was what the blessed Holy Spirit reemphasized through apostle Paul. See it.

Remember every time you do wrong, you sinned against God and man.
Acts 24:16 And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offense toward God, and toward men.
So if you secure forgiveness from God by repenting. You must do same with man , that you have offended. See Paul, apologizing to a leader that wronged him. That was restitution.
Act 23:1 — Act 23:5 And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day. And the high priest Ananias commanded them that stood by him to smite him on the mouth. Then said Paul unto him, God shall smite thee, thou whited wall: for sittest thou to judge me after the law, and commandest me to be smitten contrary to the law? And they that stood by said, Revilest thou God’s high priest? Then said Paul, I wist not, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.
It is very important to do restitution in marriage if you intends to live with God in eternity.
Marriage is monogamy not polygamy and it is for lifetime.
Mat 19:5 — Mat 19:6 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
Jesus said while your spouse is alive , if you abandon him or her and marrry another. You are an adulterer. If you die in the condition or rapture takes place. Such a person is a candidate of he’ll and damnation.
Mar 10:11 — Mar 10:12 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
The samevthing Jesus said was affirmed by the blessed Holy Spirit . See it.
Rom 7:2 — Rom 7:3 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
You can only remarry in the Lord , that is marry a Christian, when you lawful spouse died.
1 Corinthians 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
Dearly beloved, please do your restitutions. Eternity is very important. God bless you.
Friend, if your desire to partake in the dawning rapture shall be actualised, then give attention to correct your past and do your restitutions, as Paul did.

God required correction of the past from every intending pilgrims who wants to live with Him eternally. Since that is your goal. It shall be accomplished in Jesus name. So do your restitution and correct your past wrongs.
Ecclesiastes 3:15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and
Jesus, your redeemer, that paid a shameful and painful price to redeemed you said, your salvation is not authentic and acceptable in heaven, until it is joined with correction of your past, which is doing your restitution.

And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
Remember if you will avoid being part of great tribulations, that shall begin immediately after the imminent rapture, you must be obedient to the entirety of His words in the Bible. One of such words is restitution. Have you done it? Endeavor to do it, to help you partake in the rapture.
Rev 3:10 — Rev 3:11 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
Jesus said, any of His words not obeyed by anyone and everyone shall judge the person at the last day. One of such words, is restitution. Make sure you do it.
Jn 12:46 — Jn 12:48 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
The good Lord shall help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.
