Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 7, 2018. Enrich and Sustain your relationship with Jesus reading our daily devotional – Matthew 7:6 – Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
Beloved, you must never ever be surprised as you discover the way God, your loving Father, relates with some group of people. This is because the Lord knows them through and through. Think about the agape love of the Father and how far He had gone to save and pardon erring humanity.
Ezekiel 33:11. Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 5:8. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
2 Peter 3:9. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
There are some people in spite of the providence and magnanimity of God, still reject shamefully and haughtily eternal treasures. They are referred to as dogs. I am sure you are not one of these people.
Matthew 7:6. Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Licentious h behaviour
Genesis 19:8-9. Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your FACE eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof. And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door.
Stubbornly despised the truth of God.
Numbers 14:6 -10. And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the land, rent their clothes: And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good land. If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they arebread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not.But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORDappeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
Killed God’s prophets.
2 Chronicles 24:20 -21. And the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the LORD, that ye cannot prosper? because ye have forsaken the LORD, he hath also forsaken you. And they conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house of the LORD.
Mocked God’s messengers.
2 Chronicles 36:16: But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORDarose against his people, till there was no remedy.
Beloved, you need nor bother reproving these people because of their stiff neck and hatred for anyone who wants to counsel them.

Proverbs 9:7 -8. He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.
Proverbs 11:22: As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
Proverbs 15:12: A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise.
Proverbs 23:9: Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.
Proverbs 26:11: As a dog returneth to his vomit, soa fool returneth to his folly.
Proverbs 29:1: He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.
Beloved, please sincerely examine yourself and be sure you are not part of these group of people and also relate with them as the scriptures says.
Dearly beloved, no doubt our Lord Jesus Christ is love personified. This is because:
1. He will never reject any penitent sinner
John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
2. He loves His followers including you to the end.
John 13:1. Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
3. He joyfully laid down His precious life to save sinners. Praise God, you are saved.
John 15:13. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
But then will it not be a rude-shock to you, to see the same Jesus treating some people as seen below.
1. Not loving some group of people.
Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
2. Not praying for some group of people.
John 17:9. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
Why were these so? Because they were dogs. Make sure you are not one of them.

Matthew 15:26: But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
How does the Bible describes these dogs? It is important that, today, you hear what the blessed Holy Spirit is saying.
Hebrews 3:15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
See for yourself.
1. They rudely reject His words.
Matthew 10:14: -15. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
2. They deliberately trivialise eternal treasures.
Matthew 22:5 -6. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
3. They turned back from following the truth.
Hebrews 6:4-6. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Hebrews 10:29: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Revelation 2:4-5 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
4. They are lukewarm and pretenders.
Revelation 3:15-18. I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
5. They are hypocrites and subtle adversaries.
Matthew 23:25-33. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
Psalms 62:4. They only consult to cast him down from his excellency:they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah
Matthew 26:14-16. Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
Dearly beloved, like Jesus, you will not give what is holy to these dogs, professing to be Christians but are just churchgoers. But then, sincerely examine yourself and be sure you are not one. I am persuaded you are not. But if you are, repent now. Tomorrow might be too late.

JESUS ENLIGHTENED BELIEVERS OF ALL AGES, ESPECIALLY YOU, ON BIBLICAL WAYS OF RELATING WITH CHURCHGOERS.
Friend as the dawning rapture draw nearer every day, you need to determinedly and conscientiously relate wisely with those that are without. Meaning, those in the same assemblies with you that are just professors of religion or churchgoers around you.
Colossians 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.
This becomes necessary because of two reasons:
1. They are scoffers and are not preparing for this looming event.
2 Peter 3:2-4. That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2. They are not walking on the same road with you. They are on the broad road, while you are bearing your cross daily on the narrow road.
Isaiah 35:8-9. And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
Matthew 7:13-14. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Luke 9:23-24. And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
No marvel, Jesus taught His followers and that includes you, how to relate with them. See it.

Why must you not give holy treasures of the kingdom to these group of people?
1. They are defiled and are determined to defile others.
Proverbs 11:22: As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.
Isaiah 52:11. Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
2. They deliberately reject the truth
Philippians 3:2: Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
2 Thessalonians 2:10-12. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
3.They are empty professors of religion
2 Timothy 3:1-5. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
4. They deliberately Twist the word of God.
2 Peter 3:15 -16. And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
5. They are persecutors working for the devil to hinder God’s people from getting ready.
2 Timothy 4:14 -15. Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: nOf whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.
It is by heeding the counsel of Jesus and wisely relating with these people that you shall be prepared anytime our Lord comes. May the Lord help you to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.
