And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him. And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the Lord was departed from him. But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house. – JUDGES 16:19-21

Beloved, in the economy of the world, there is an acceptable parlance that says, experience is the best teacher.

But then, the wisdom of God contradicts this parlance.

This is because you become more wiser than just your personal experience, by learning lessons from misfortunes of others, in addition to your personal experience. See these.

Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

1Co 10:11 — 1Co 10:13 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Beloved as you ponder on the pains and shame Adam and Eve suffered after eating the forbidden fruit, you become wiser to avoid their mistake and avert the consequences.

Gen 3:23 — Gen 3:24 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

As you remembered Lot’s wife looking back and becoming a pillar of salt and languishing presently in hell, you are sober and you make deliberate efforts to avoid doing the same thing.

Genesis 19:26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

Think of apostle Judas and the unspent thirty pieces of silver, now damned in hell forever .

Mat 27:3 — Mat 27:5 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

None of the above shall be your portion in Jesus name.

Remember this, please don’t ever forget. There is no height of spirituality you attain, that immunes you from falling into the tireless and subtle wiles of satan and his cohorts.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

2Co 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Eph 6:10 — Eph 6:11 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Beloved, I thank God for your testimonies of biblical salvation, holiness and being spirit filled.

You must determinedly heed the warning of our Lord, before you can overcome, like He overcame.

Mat 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Heb 4:15 — Heb 4:16 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

This becomes necessary because of the misfortune of a Nazarite having the fullness of the Holy Spirit from the womb. See it.

Beloved, sin brings avoidable calamities and afflictions to anyone and everyone, who fall a victim.

Psa 107:17 — Psa 107:18 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.

Psa 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray:but now have I kept thy word.

What happened to Samson shall not be your portion, but never forget, God does not tolerate sin from anyone.

Hab 1:13 Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil,and canst not look on iniquity:wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously,and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?

It is because of this, that He gave the following warnings for His obedient Children like you.

Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Ezekiel 18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Beloved, the Bible reveals somethings you can be doing, to help you avoid this shameful pitfall of Samson.

1. Lean always on Jesus for strength to be victorious over temptations.

Heb 2:17 — Heb 2:18 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.

2. Hid the word of God in your heart to help you remain clean and avoiding satan’s baits.

Psa 119:9 — Psa 119:11 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee:O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

3. No matter what you stand to benefit from anyone, if such a person will lead you to sin, do away with them.

Mar 9:43 — Mar 9:48 And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

God’s grace shall avail for you to keep you from failing and ready at all times for the dawning rapture.
