Enrich and Sustain your relationship with Jesus reading our daily devotional – Revelation 4:1 -5 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
Beloved, you might be wondering about the unfolding of events that shall characterise the time of the great tribulation. As you see the unleashing of fierce and fearful catastrophes and wrath being poured on the unrepentant worldlings. The truth is that, everyone, and that includes you, shall reap what they sow ultimately.
Gal 6:7 — 8 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Today, many choose to disdain God and refuse to acknowledge His person. See what our Lord said about God, your loving Father in heaven.
Luke 12:5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.
See the attitude of many to Him, today. Praise God, you are unlike the vast majority of these people.
Job 8:13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish:
Job 8:20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:
Job 21:14 — Job 21:15 Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways. What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
At the end of chapter eight when the forth trumpet was blown, an angel from heaven proclaimed woe, woe , woe on the inhabitants of the earth. See it.
Rev 8:12 — 13 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
Beloved, you might be wondering, why woe? Yes , woe is the portion of everyone that is striving with His Maker.
Isaiah 45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?
This exactly is the attitude of the inhabitants of the earth at that time. They kept on striving with God. See it.
Rev 9:20 — Rev 9:21 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
So, see the woe that shall happen as the fifth trumpet shall be blown.
Rev 9:1 — 12. And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.
Beloved, you will discover that the torment of this fifth trumpet, was greater than all the previous wrath.
This is because, demonic scorpions from the bottomless pit are released to sting humanity. When they sting , the pain shall last for five months., as if a snake or scorpion have bitten a person.
But then, you need to discover something about the personalty of these scorpions from the bottomless pit. The star that fell from heaven is satan himself.
Revelation 9:1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit.
See this revealed in both old and new testaments. Even though our Lord Jesus Christ.
Isa 14:12 — 15 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
Luk 10:17 — Luk 10:18 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven
Beloved, these demonic scorpions are the fallen angels that were driven out of heaven with satan. God will release the key to satan to open it and bring out those demons just for five months and they shall be locked back after the five months.
He is their king called Appollyon.
Revelation 9:11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Beloved, the reason why this torment shall be severe is the fact that, they have five months for this liberty from the bottomless pit, where they themselves are being tormented. After which they shall be locked back .
Revelation 9:5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.
Revelation 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
Beloved, you will recount during the earthly ministry of Jesus, how the demons would be pleading with Him, not to send them to the pit for torment
Luk 8:30 —31 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep.
Mat 8:28 — 29 And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
See the revelation of what these demonic scorpions themselves are suffering in the bottomless pit.
Rev 14:10 — 11 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
In fact a time is coming when satan himself shall be locked for a thousand years inside the bottomless pit.
Rev 20:1 — 3 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
Beloved certainly the time of great tribulation shall be full of woes and torments. You shall not be there in Jesus name.
See the details of these torment in prophecy at this time. It is indescribable.
Joel 2:10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
Joel 2:30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth,blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
Amo 5:18 — Amo 5:20 Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light. As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. Beloved, you will recount the devastation of ordinary locust when the nation of Egypt under Pharaoh was rebelling against God. See it.
Exo 10:12 — 15 And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left. And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the Lord brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts. And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such. For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.
If the devastation of ordinary locust was like this. What happens, when they are demonic destroyers.
Ordinary locusts eat grass, herbs and trees. But the reverse is with these demonic scorpions. They don’t hurt the grass but human beings without the seal of the almighty.
Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
Beside ordinary locust don’t have a king..
Pro 30:24 — 27 There be four things which are little upon the earth,but they are exceeding wise: The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer; The conies are but a feeble folk,yet make they their houses in the rocks; The locusts have no king,yet go they forth all of them by bands;
However, these demonic scorpions have a king in the person of satan himself.

Beloved, this is the reason why the torment shall be severe and the people shall be looking for death and it will be difficult to commit suicide.

And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.
See how the scriptures describe how the people shall be feeling.
Job 3:20 — Job 3:22 Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery, and life unto the bitter in soul; Which long for death, but it cometh not; and dig for it more than for hid treasures; Which rejoice exceedingly,and are glad, when they can find the grave?
Job 7:15 — Job 7:16 So that my soul chooseth strangling, and death rather than my life. I loathe it; I would not live alway: let me alone; for my days are vanity.
Jeremiah 8:3 And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith the Lord of hosts.
Deu 28:65 — 67 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.
Beloved, apart from this. The appearance of those demonic scorpions are very fearful, even before they sting the people. See it described in prophecy.
Joe 2:4 — 5 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
Joel 2:8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.
See it in reality, with satan himself shall be coordinating their torments as their king. It is really fearful.

And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.
However, some people who loved the Lord and detest sin shall be preserved from being hurt. See what qualifies such people. This same thing is what shall qualify you in particular to be part of the dawning rapture. It shall not elude you in particular in Jesus name.
Revelation 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Ezk 9:4 — 6 And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.
Beloved, sin, compromise and hardness of heart are the things that made these people to experience these avoidable pains.
Rom 2:8 — 9 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
Rev 18:5 — Rev 18:7 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you,and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her:for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
Beloved, because I know the terror of the Lord, I really want to plead with you to stop wilful sinning in all ramification.
2 Corinthians 5:11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
It is the desire of the Lord that everyone and most especially you, should not experience these avoidable imminent catastrophes. He has no pleasure in punishing sinners but what them to repent. I hope you have repented from all things the Bible refer to as sin.
Isa 55:6 — 7 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found,call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Ezk 18:30 — 32 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord God. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin. Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye..
Beloved, is your name in the book of life?
Exodus 32:33 And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.
Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Are you sanctified? Do you have pure heart?
Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Eph 5:25 — 27 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Have you done your restitutions? You have restored everything you deceivelly gotten? How about daily adultery? Are you living with your first spouse? If not please separate from the second spouse and be reconciled with your first spouse
Ecc 3:15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
Mal 2:14 — 16 Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the Lord hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth,against whom thou hast dealt treacherously:yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. And did not he make one? Yet had he the residue of the spirit. And wherefore one? That he might seek a godly seed.Therefore take heed to your spirit,and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away:for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the Lord of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.
Rom 7:2 — 3 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Beloved, are you free from ungodliness and worldliness?
Tit 2:11 — 13 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
1Jo 2:15 — 17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
Beloved, see what the blessed Holy Spirit is saying to you in particular, to help you avert great tribulation, but to be among the twenty four elders apostle John saw in the revelation Jesus have him?
Heb 2:1 — 3 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
Beloved, put this revelation before you,. To be part of the twenty four elders. This shall surely be your portion in Jesus name.
