Christ the Smitten Rock that brings forth living waters – Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel. – Exodus 17:6

Beloved, majority of the people in the universal church of Christ globally are nominal churchgoers..

Praise God you are not.

It is good if a person professing to be a believer is not forsaking the assembly, but this alone does not make whoever a Christian.

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

But then a Bible based believer in any assembly is the person that has heeded this glorious and gracious call to salvation.

Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Beloved, check up sincerely with the blessed Holy Spirit. Have you in particular heeded this call and now become born again with Bible evidence of becoming a new creature?

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

I am persuaded, that this is your present experience. Glory to God.

However,. If it is not. Do the needful now. Tomorrow might be too late.

But then because this is your present estate. See what you in particular is called into.

1. Called into glory.

2 Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

2. Called to be glorified.

Rom 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Because you in particular shall be glorified, see what your Redeemer and also your loving Father in heaven had prepared for you.

Jn 14:1 — Jn 14:3. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Heb 11:14 — Heb 11:16 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

However, for you in particular to access the prepared place for your everlasting glorification, Jesus must be smitten.

He must be smitten because all without exception and that includes you have sinned and lost the glory of God.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

The price for remitting this lost glory is the smitten of Christ. See it.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

See it prophesied.

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Isa 53:3 — Isa 53:12 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death ;because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

Lam 1:12 Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and seeif there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me,wherewith the Lord hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.

You wonder why God the Father told Moses to smite the Rock for the children of Israel to drink water?

You recount the selection of a lamb without blemish which bone must not be broken was a pointer to what our Lord went through at Calvary, during His earthly ministry.

So also was the smitten of the Rock by Moses.

Because only by the smitten of Jesus will the access to glory be attained by believers of all ages and that includes you.

The blessed Holy Spirit revealed that the smitten Rock was Christ. See it.

1 Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Now see Him smitten for no other reason apart from taking believers and you in particular to glory.

John 19:37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Heb 2:9 — Heb 2:10 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

The scriptures says God will give grace through which you access glory.

GRACE:

God’s riches, righteousness, redemption, regeneration, reconciliation, remission of sins.

All of these at the expense of Christ.

See it.

Psalms 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Now that our Lord has been smitten for all believers, especially you.

You must endeavor never to miss the prepared places of glory both God the Father and Himself, had prepared, awaiting you in heaven.

Also the glory Jesus was smitten for, must not elude you and it shall not elude you in particular in Jesus name.

This glory is imminent and shall begin when you meet with our Lord Jesus Christ in the air, after the dawning rapture. See it.

Col 3:1 — Col 3:4 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

1 Peter 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Beloved, for this glory not to elude you and it shall not elude you in particular in Jesus name.

You must endeavor to meet the conditions or requisites. See them.

1. Called. 2. Chosen. 3. Faithful.

Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

By the grace of God you have already fulfilled the first one, which is biblical call to salvation. See it.

So determinedly fulfill the remaining two, which are chosen and faithful.

See what you must do to be chosen.

Second condition: CHOSEN.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Come out of darkness of worldliness and unequal yoke.

Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

2Co 6:14 — 2Co 6:18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

In addition, to be chosen you must also determinedly live by the entirety of His words.

Jn 6:66 — Jn 6:70 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

Rev 3:10 — Rev 3:11 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

The third condition: FAITHFUL.

1 Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

God’s grace shall avail for you in particular in Jesus name.

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Tit 2:11 — Tit 2:13 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Remember our Lord Jesus Christ was shamefully smitten and went through unparalleled excruciating pains to pay for you to access glory.

Please let the shame and the pains, He went through not be in vain, but let it energise you to be part of the dawning rapture.

The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.
