Beware of false prophets in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. – Matthew 7:15-20

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. – Matthew 7:15-20

Beloved brethren, one of the prominent signs of Christ’s second coming is the proliferation of false prophets.

No wonder, Jesus Christ our Lord personally warned severally about the ills of false prophets. See some of them.

Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Matthew 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Matthew 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 24:25 Behold, I have told you before. 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

The blessed Holy Spirit also sounded alarm about the ills of false prophets, both in the old and new testaments. See some of them.

Warning in the old testament.

Deuteronomy 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, 13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. 13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. 13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

Jeremiah 5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

Jeremiah 23:16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. 23:17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

Jeremiah 23:21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. 23:22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. 23:23 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off? 23:24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD. 23:25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. 23:26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; 23:27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal. 23:28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD. 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? 23:30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. 23:31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. 23:32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

Warning in the new testament.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

The blessed Holy Spirit further exhorts, Bible believing believers on what to do with the false prophets. See some of them.

Romans 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Philippians 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. 3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

2 John 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Beloved brethren, to help you avert the ills through the false prophets, do exactly what our Lord and the blessed Holy Spirit said , you should do with them.

Remember and never ever forget, beware of false prophets, according to this warning from our Lord Jesus Christ. It shall be well with you in particular in Jesus name.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 30, 2021 | THE BEATITUDES | Enter ye in at the strait gate:

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there.... - Matthew 7:13-14
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there.... - Matthew 7:13-14

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there…. – Matthew 7:13-14

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. – Matthew 7:13-14

Dearly beloved brethren, this particular teaching of the sermon on the mount, was the greatest wisdom of Christ and the highest reflection of His love for His followers of all ages and that includes you in particular. See this yourself.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. – Matthew 7:13-14

Our Lord prayed for you to live eternally with Him.

John 17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Because this shall be your own experience, then , you are under compulsion to heed this exhortation, to enter through the strait gate. See it yourself again.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. – Matthew 7:13-14

This is because you can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate.

The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way.

But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

The call to enter ye at the strait gate is given because of the bad way of sin, and the good way of holiness.

There are but two ways, right and wrong, good and evil the way to heaven, and the way to hell.

All of us are walking on one of these two roads, no middle place hereafter, no middle way now: the distinction of the children of men into saints and sinners, godly and ungodly, will swallow up all to eternity.

Prior to this time, God the Father had severally called people of old to enter the gate that led to life, the same way, Jesus did. See some of these gracious calls.

Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Jeremiah 21:8 And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.

Isaiah 35:8 And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. 35:9 No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. – Matthew 7:13-14

Very very unfortunately, just like vast majority of people declined to enter through the strait gate, so also this gracious call by God was despised and rejected. See this yourself.

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Jeremiah 7:23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you. 7:24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

You might be wondering why multitude of churchgoers and sinners declined the strait gate.

It is because the broad road, allures multitudes into it, and keeps them in it, the gate is wide, and the way broad, and there are many travellers in that way.

They shall have abundance of liberty in that way the gate is wide, and stands wide open to tempt those that go right on their way.

They may go in at this gate with all their lusts about them.

The broad gate gives no check to your appetites, to your passions: you may walk in the way of your heart, and in the sight of your eyes that gives room enough.”

It is a broad way, for there is nothing to hedge in those that walk in it, but they wander endlessly on the broad way, for there are many paths in it

There is choice of sinful ways, contrary to each other, but all paths in this broad way.

In addition you will have abundance of company in this way: this is because, many there be that go in at this gate, and walk in this way.”

If you follow the multitude, it will be to do evil: if you go with the crowd, it will be the wrong way.

It is natural for you to incline to go down the stream, and do as the most do but it is too great a compliment, to be willing to be damned for company, and to go to hell with them, because they will not go to heaven with you: if many perish, you should be the more cautious.

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. – Matthew 7:13-14

Beloved brethren, the reason why you unlike the vast majority of churchgoers must heed this compelling exhortation, is because, only few enters through this strait gate and those that fail to enter shall be eternally damned. See this yourself.

Luke 13:23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: 13:26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. 13:27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

But then, the good news is, even though, this gate is strait, narrow and difficult, it leads to heaven and blissful eternity ultimately.

The gate is strait and the way narrow and up-hill, but one hour in heaven will make amends for it.

Beloved brethren, how do you enter the strait gate?

Remember, the gate is strait. Conversion and regeneration are the gate, by which you enter into this way.

Then, you begin a life of faith and serious godliness out of a state of sin into a state of grace.

You must pass, by the new birth.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

This is a strait gate, hard to find, and hard to get through.

There must be a new heart, and a new spirit, and old things must pass away.

The bent of the soul must be changed, corrupt habits and customs broken off.

What you have been doing all your days must be undone again. You must swim against the stream much opposition must be struggled with, and broken through, from without, and from within.

It is easier to set a man against all the world than against himself, and yet this must be in conversion.

It is a strait gate, for you must stoop, or you cannot go in at it.

You must become as little children high thoughts must be brought down nay, you must strip, must deny yourself put off the world, put off the old man.

You must be willing to forsake all for your interest in Christ.

The grace of God is sufficient for you in particular to do all that are required to enter the strait gate.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world.

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. – Matthew 7:13-14

Beloved brethren, I am persuaded you have entered through the strait gate.

But just in case you have not, this is the time to do it, tomorrow might be too late.

2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

The good Lord shall help you in particular to be wise to heed this urgent and time bound exhortation in Jesus mighty name.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 29, 2021 | THE BEATITUDES | Do ye even so to them

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and prophet - Matthew 7:12
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and prophet - Matthew 7:12

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and prophet – Matthew 7:12

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. – Matthew 7:12

Dearly beloved brethren, this particular teaching on the sermon on the mount, is another milestone that makes you, a Bible believing believer, to be wise.

You must of a compulsion be doing to others whatever you would like them to be doing to you.

Micah 6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.

So then, whatever you desire that others would do to and for you, even so do also to and for them, for this is (sums up) the Law and the Prophets.

Our Lord Jesus used this particular teaching on the mount, to impress it on all Bible believing believers like you, that righteousness towards men which is an essential branch of true religion, and that religion towards God which is an essential branch of universal righteousness, is the summary of all that is taught in the law and prophets.

Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.

Zechariah 8:16 These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates: 8:17 And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbour; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.

Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 22:38 This is the first and great commandment. 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. – Matthew 7:12

You must make righteousness your rule, and be ruled by it,

Romans 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

You must not only be devout, but honest, else your devotion is but hypocrisy.

Ezekiel 18:5 But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right, 18:6 And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour’s wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman, 18:7 And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment; 18:8 He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man, 18:9 Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord GOD.

In addition, our Lord exhorts His followers of all ages, especially you on what you are to know and believe, but also what you are to be doing.

Amos 5:14 Seek good, and not evil, that ye may live: and so the LORD, the God of hosts, shall be with you, as ye have spoken. 5:15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. – Matthew 7:12

What you are to be doing, not only toward God, but also toward men.

Not only towards our brethren in the church but also towards men in general, all with whom you have to do.

Jeremiah 7:5 For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; 7:6 If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: 7:7 Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.

Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

The golden rule of equity is, to be doing to others as you would want them to be doing to you.

Luke 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Mark 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

1 Timothy 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets. – Matthew 7:12

Beloved brethren, this is the essence of biblical holiness and true righteousness. Be determinedly doing to others as you would want them to be doing to you. See it yourself again.

Go and do likewise.

See you at the top in Jesus name

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? – Matthew 7:7-11

BELOVED BRETHREN, BIBLE BELIEVING BELIEVERS ARE ENCOURAGED AND COUNSELLED TO PRAY TO GOD AND SHALL GRANT ALL THERE REQUESTS IN PRAYERS.

Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Psalms 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

But then this particular teaching on the mount meant more.

See, how. Luke, amplified it.

Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 11:10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11:11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 11:12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? – Matthew 7:7-11

Our Lord wants us to desire spiritual things, that shall make way for physical things for you with ease.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

What are those spiritual things you can ask that shall pave way for physical things without stress.

John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

DYING TO SENSUAL THINGS.

Malachi 3:3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

Being purged to make your service count in heaven.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Praying for spiritual fruit to be more and more like Christ.

Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Hebrews 7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

Becoming more and more like Christ.

Exodus 33:13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Knowing God and Jesus Christ, more intimately.

John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Becoming crucified like Christ.

Psalms 51:7
Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Biblical sanctification.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Power for the miraculous.

Acts 4:29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, 4:30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

God is faithful. If your priority is on the spiritual things, He will provide you for physical things you don’t even ask from Him.

See this teaching again and do likewise.

You shall be abundantly blessed as you do as the blessed Holy Spirit reveals to you.

See you at the top in Jesus name

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 27, 2021 | THE BEATITUDES | Give not that which is holy unto the dogs

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet - Matthew 7:6
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet - Matthew 7:6

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet – Matthew 7:6

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. – Matthew 7:6

Beloved brethren, it is imperative for Bible believing believers like you as a matter of compulsion, to heed the sayings of Christ, that make them wise.

Matthew 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

This particular teaching on the sermon on the mount, seems to be contradictory, but you must apply it and live by it.

It is true that, we are commanded to preach the gospel to every creature.

The gospel is a sacred thing.

Even though Bible believing believers are commanded to preach the gospel to every creature, yet our Lord Jesus Christ, constrained us, not to give holy things to dogs. See it yourself.

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. – Matthew 7:6

The blessed Holy Spirit both in the old and new testaments, constrained saints and Bible believing believers, not to give holy things to dogs. See them yourself.

Old testament

Proverbs 9:7 He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. 9:8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. 9:9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

Jeremiah 6:10 To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

Hosea 8:12
I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.

New testament.

Acts 16:6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, 16:7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not. 16:8 And they passing by Mysia came down to Troas. 16:9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us. 16:10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. – Matthew 7:6

Beloved brethren, Paul and his team, wanted to preach the gospel at a particular time in Asia, the blessed Holy Spirit restrained them not to do so.

They wanted to do the same thing at Bithynia, but were constrained again by the blessed Holy Spirit and then He saw a vision to Macedonia and then, they went.

As you ponder on the fact that the great commission, expressly said, all creatures should be preached to, but then, both Christ our Lord and the blessed Holy Spirit, considered some creatures as dogs.

Such people must not be given sacred things or holy things. The gospel is a sacred thing that must not be given to dogs.

Good counsel and reproof are a holy thing, and a pearl: they are ordinances of God, they are precious as an ear-ring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is the wise reprover.

Proverbs 25:12 As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.

Psalms 141:5 Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. – Matthew 7:6

The case of king Herod, would affirmed this. Both Jesus Christ our Lord and John the Baptist, knew Herod, took his brother’s wife, which was wrong.

King Herod was one of the dogs, who does not deserve holy things, sacred things, the truth of the Bible or the gospel.

Jesus Christ our Lord, held , His peace and never reproved Herod, John did and was beheaded. See why our Lord, held His peace.

Beloved brethren, here, by the wisdom of Christ, Bible believing believers are cautioned to balance their zeal with knowledge, to avert, avoidable persecution and perhaps untimely death, as it happened to John the Baptist.

The Bible refers to some people as dogs, they do not deserve holy things.

They do not deserve the gospel. They could kill the preacher or maim them, let us be sensitive to the guidance of the blessed Holy Spirit, in our zeal to preach the gospel to every creature.

See what the Bible says about dogs.

Matthew 15:26
But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Mark 7:27
But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.

Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Mark 7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 7:7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. – Matthew 7:6

Philippians 3:2
Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.

Revelation 22:15
For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.

Beloved brethren, remember, the sayings of Christ, makes you wise.

Please ensure you balance your zeal with knowledge and please, be guided by the blessed Holy Spirit in your evangelism outreaches. See it yourself again.

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. – Matthew 7:6

The good Lord shall help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus mighty name.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 26, 2021 | THE BEATITUDES | And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? - Matthew 7:3-5
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? - Matthew 7:3-5

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? – Matthew 7:3-5

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. – Matthew 7:3-5

Beloved brethren, Bible believing believers like you are supposed to be Christlike in lifestyle, so as to be a channel of edifying others inside and outside of the church. See what the scriptures says.

Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

1 Timothy 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

In addition, you should be living a lifestyle, like that of Christ, doing all that you intend to be teaching others.

Acts 1:1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

Ezra 7:10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

2 Timothy 2:6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

When the lifestyle of anyone falls short of all of the above, then, such are disqualified from being able to edify others inside and outside of the church.

These were the churchgoers Jesus, refered to in this particular sermon on the mount. See it yourself.

Such churchgoers were liken to the Pharisees during the earthly ministry of our Lord, who were teaching what they were not doing.

Matthew 23:1 Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 23:2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. 23:4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Beloved brethren, examine yourself sincerely. Do you fall into categories of Bible believing believers, who are channel of edification for people inside and outside of the church or churchgoers like the Pharisees?.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

I am persuaded you are a Bible believing believer. Because of this, endeavour to sustain this Christlike lifestyle till Christ comes.

But then, if you discover that, this not the situation. Repent immediately, because of the consequence of this ungodly lifestyle.

The good Lord shall help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus mighty name.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 25, 2021 | THE BEATITUDES | Judge not, that ye be not judged

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete. - Matthew 7:1-2
Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete. - Matthew 7:1-2

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete. – Matthew 7:1-2

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. – Matthew 7:1-2

Beloved brethren, if in deed you are a Bible believing believer, then you must not be caught in this web.

This is because, ths particular teaching is the reason why vast majority of people inside and outside of the church, shall end up in hell fire. This shall not be your portion in Jesus name. See it yourself again.

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. – Matthew 7:1-2

Beloved, Bible believing believers that shall end up with God in heaven, shall take fast hold of instruction.

Proverbs 4:13
Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

Proverbs 19:20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.

Unfortunately, those inside and outside the church, who reject instructions, are always laying hold of this single verse of the Bible.

They pointedly tell you not to judge them, because the Bible say , nobody should judge.

Unknown to them, it is the devil that is misquoting the scriptures through them, as he did with Jesus our Lord. See it yourself.

Matthew 4:5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, 4:6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. – Matthew 7:1-2

The Bible in both old and new testaments, instructed us to correct one another.

Malachi 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

Hebrews 10:25
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

And when you see anyone going astray, they should be corrected in love and restored.

Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. 6:2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Ephesians 4:15
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. – Matthew 7:1-2

Whenever you see anyone inside or outside the church, who does not want instructions of the Lord and correction in love, they misquote the Bible and say , you are judging them and the Bible says, you should not judge.

Pause and examine yourself. Are you free from this satanic web? Your response should be affirmative yes, but , if it is no, please repent immediately.

But then, Jesus never taught His judge , not to be judged. He said, we should judge righteously.

John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

See an instance of righteous judgement.

1 Corinthians 5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father’s wife. 5:2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you. 5:3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed, 5:4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

Beloved brethren, we don’t judge people outside the church. God shall judge them, but we , in love correct, restore and judge brethren inside the church.

1 Corinthians 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within? 5:13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. – Matthew 7:1-2

So never ever forget. Jesus never said , we should not judge. But He taught us to judge righteously in love, to restore brethren back to the Lord. See it yourself again.

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. – Matthew 7:1-2

John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

May the good Lord help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 24, 2021 | THE BEATITUDES | Take therefore no thought for the morrow

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day. - Matthew 6:34
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day. - Matthew 6:34

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day. – Matthew 6:34

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. – Matthew 6:34

Beloved brethren, why was Jesus talking to Bible believing believers, not to be thoughtful of tomorrow, in His sermon on the mount?

It was because vast majority of the so called Bible believing believers are very very careless about their tomorrow or future.

You see , beloved brethren, unbelievers are not careless about their future or tomorrow. They adequately prepare for it. See what our Lord said.

Luke 16:8
And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

Vast majority of the so called Bible believing believers, take things for granted, that is why, they usually have challenges about the future. Your own case shall not be like that in Jesus name.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. – Matthew 6:34

Beloved brethren, settle it in your heart that because you are a Bible believing believers, your tomorrow or future is not bleak but beautiful.

But then what are the things that you must do to facilitate your desired beautiful tomorrow or future?

1. You also must be wiser like the unbelievers. You must have a definite future you want clearly defined.

2. You must ensure you put in place, things that shall guarantee your desired and defined tomorrow or future.

What are the things you must put in place?

3 . Absolute and unfailing trust in Jesus Christ, that because He lives and His future remains beautiful, so also your own shall be.

John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 14:19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

4. You must remain just, righteous and holy, to ensure the blessings of today are sustained and continued.

Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

Psalms 145:19 He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. – Matthew 6:34

5. You must be doing every day and on a daily basis, consistently things that shall facilitate accomplishing the desired goals. See what the scriptures says.

Ezra 3:4
They kept also the feast of tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the custom, as the duty of every day required;

1 Chronicles 16:37 So he left there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD Asaph and his brethren, to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required:

There is something you must conscientiously and consistently be doing on a daily basis to facilitate achieving your goals.

It is true that God will help you, but you must never ever fold your hands and leave everything for God to do. You also must do your part conscientiously and consistently.

See an example of how the apostles facilitated the desired future they wanted and they achieved it.

Acts 6:2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. 6:3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. – Matthew 6:34

See what the apostles were doing consistently and conscientiously.

6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

Philippians 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 3:11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

See what Paul was doing consistently and conscientiously.

3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. – Matthew 6:34

Dearly beloved brethren, when we conscientiously and consistently do these five things, we also become wiser like the unbelievers.

Then you will not need to be thoughtful about tomorrow or your future, but you just live your life daily and walk into your desired beautiful future, with Christ and you doing it.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

This way this particular teaching on the sermon on the mount shall immensely benefit you in particular. It shall be so for you in Jesus name.

Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. – Matthew 6:34

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 22, 2021 | THE BEATITUDES | Take no thought for your life

Therefore I say, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body.. - Matthew 6:25-31
Therefore I say, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body.. - Matthew 6:25-31

Therefore I say, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body.. – Matthew 6:25-31

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. – Matthew 6:25-31

Beloved brethren, this insightful teachings and truth on the sermon on the mount, is a proof, that our Lord is touched with everything concerning us.

Not only that He is touched, He is also willing to perfect everything, concerning us.

Psalms 138:8 The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

But then you need not worry or be unnecessarily thoughtful according to the gracious counsel of our Lord. See it yourself.

Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

What are you supposed to do instead of unnecessary worry, anxiety and thoughtfulness.

1. Trust God at all times and pray about the challenges. All your needs shall be supplied in Jesus name.

Psalms 62:8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

2. Cast your cares upon Him and leave them with Him permanently.

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Therefore I say, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body.. – Matthew 6:25-31

3. Don’t be worried, be thankful for the things , He is presently doing and make the remaining requests known to Him.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

3. Then work with your hands, for you not to lack anything.

1 Thessalonians 4:11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; 4:12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

The blessed Holy Spirit says, if you refuse to work, you must not eat.

2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

God’s blessings can only come to your life, through the work you are doing. If you are not working, you have closed the door of God’s blessings towards you.

Psalms 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Therefore I say, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body.. – Matthew 6:25-31

4. Then be paying your tithes to your church regularly and fully. God will rebuke devourers and give bountifully to you.

Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 3:9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 3:11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 3:12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Beloved do this and you shall be free from unnecessary worry, anxiety and thoughtfulness according to our Lord. See this yourself again.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | May 20, 2021 | THE BEATITUDES | The light of the body is the eye

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye - Matthew 6:22-23
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye - Matthew 6:22-23

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye – Matthew 6:22-23

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! – Matthew 6:22-23

Dearly beloved brethren, because you give utmost attention and importance to the sayings of Christ, then , this particular teaching, deserve your utmost attention.
See what it says.

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! – Matthew 6:22-23

The importance of this particular teaching, made the blessed Holy Spirit to reemphasized it verbatim, by Luke. See it yourself.

Luke 11:34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. 11:35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. 11:36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

What is the import of this particular teaching? Two things.

  1. Focus , single-mindedness and affections for eternal things, shall help you attain life eternal without stress.

Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

Colossians 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

2 Timothy 2:4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! – Matthew 6:22-23

The single eye:. Singleness of heart.

As the eye is to the body, to guide and direct their motions now if this eye be single, if it make a true and right judgment, and discern things that differ, especially in the great concern of laying up the treasure so as to choose aright in that, it will rightly guide the affections and actions, which will all be full of the light of grace and comfort

Acts 2:46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

Ephesians 6:5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

Colossians 3:22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

2. But then, sensuality, carnality, worldliness, compromise, worldly pursuit, shall make the heart to be divided and ultimately damned. This shall not be your portion in Jesus mighty name.

Hosea 10:2 Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images

1 Timothy 5:6 But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! – Matthew 6:22-23

The evil eye

But if this be evil and corrupt, and instead of leading to eternal things, the focus is earthly and sensual things, then the heart is biassed and misinformed, the heart and life must needs be full of darkness, see it yourself, the evi eye.

Matthew 20:15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good?

Mark 7:22 Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

Ephesians 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the
blindness of their heart:

1 John 2:11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! – Matthew 6:22-23

Beloved please give utmost attention to this particular teaching of Christ and be addicted to single eye and abhor determinedly evil eye. See it yourself again.

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! – Matthew 6:22-23
