Beloved, the Bible says all the things written in the scriptures are for our admonition.

Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

The Amalekites sinned against God, by attacking porous Israel, when they left Egypt, during the days of Moses the servant of the Lord.

Exo 17:8 — Exo 17:9 Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim. And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.

God instructed Moses to document it, that He was going to punish them for their cruel attack against His people.

Exo 17:14 — Exo 17:16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovahnissi: For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation.

During the tenure of King Saul, he was commanded by God to wipe out every Amalikite without sparing anyone.

1Sa 15:1 — 1Sa 15:3 Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.

But then king Saul partially obeyed God and spared Agag their king, who was latter killed by Samuel.

1Sa 15:20 — 1Sa 15:24 And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal. And Samuel said,
Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

1Sa 15:32 — 1Sa 15:33 Then said Samuel, Bring ye hither to me Agag the king of the Amalekites. And Agag came unto him delicately. And Agag said, Surely the bitterness of death is past. And Samuel said, As thy sword hath made women childless, so shall thy mother be childless among women. And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.

God punished king Saul for his disobedience, He replaced him with king David.

1 Samuel 16:1 And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

Very very unfortunate, apart from king Agag that Saul did not kill, some of his descendants also escaped to another nation.

One of this great grand descendant was next to King Ahaseruis, who had taken the Jews, captive because of their sins.

Esther 3:1 After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him.

This Haman, the descendant of Agag, the king of the Amalikites
was pregnant with vengeance and determined to totally exterminate the Jews , during the days of Mordecai and Queen Esther.

Est 3:8 — Est 3:10 And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it is not for the king’s profit to suffer them. If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those that have the charge of the business, to bring it into the king’s treasuries. And the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it unto Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews’ enemy.

Est 3:12 — Est 3:13 Then were the king’s scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king’s lieutenants, and to the governors that were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king’s ring. And the letters were sent by posts into all the king’s provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, even upon the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to take the spoil of them for a prey.

Brethren, please learn an unforgettable lessons from this scenario.

The partial obedience or outright disobedience of today on the part of anyone inside or outside the church, might have far reaching consequences and can impart negatively on generations unborn.

The little foxes or beseting sins anyone failed to address today might ruined the person latter here and hereafter.

SS 2:15 Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines:for our vines have tender grapes.

Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Remember Ananias, and Sapphira, both died and went to hell because of what professor of religion called little lies.

Act 5:1 — Act 5:2 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

Apostle Judas’s destruction, started with little, little stealing from the bag, before degenerating into big time greed and covetousness.

Jn 12:4 — Jn 12:6 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him, Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor? This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein.

Brethren, the little sin anyone is still pampering now, can degenerate into big time sin and become defilement , in their garment of righteousness and hindered them entrance to heaven. This shall not be your portion in Jesus name.

1Co 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

Galatians 5:9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Brethren, are you really free from sins? Address every forms of sin, to avoid what happened to the Jews, because of partial obedience of king Saul. The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

Tit 2:11 — Tit 2:14 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus. And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king’s servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him. – Esther 6:1-3

Dearly beloved because you are commited to be part of believers of all ages, faithfully and trustfully following, the Lord, then you should be very very happy, because of this wonderful attributes of God. See it.

Hebrews 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

What this, then mean is that the entirety of your good works are noticed and shall be rewarded in due time on this side and the other side of heaven, if you continue doing it to the end.

Gal 6:10 — Gal 6:11 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand.

Mal 3:16 — Mal 3:18 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts,in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked,
between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

Mat 25:34 — Mat 25:40 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

LESSONS FROM ESTHER | THE REMEMBRANCE OF MORDECAI | the king commanded to bring the book of records; and Mordecai was found written – Esther 6:1-3

Beloved this was what happened to Mordecai the uncle of Queen Esther.

He was aware of a palace coup against the king and he promptly reported it and the culprits were arrested and executed. But it was like this good deed was forgotten and unrewarded temporarily.

But then at the appointed time, God, worked on the king and a commensurable rewarded was given to Mordecai. See it.

Est 6:1 — Est 6:3 On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king. And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus. LESSONS FROM ESTHER | THE REMEMBRANCE OF MORDECAI | the king commanded to bring the book of records; and Mordecai was found written – Esther 6:1-3

Beloved the Bible severally affirms that, good works done by saints, especially you, shall be rewarded here and hereafter at the appointed time of God.

This is to encourage you in particular not to be weary of well doing, because, God shall surely rewards you. It shall be so in Jesus name. See some of them.

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Col 3:23 — Col 3:24 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

LESSONS FROM ESTHER | THE REMEMBRANCE OF MORDECAI | the king commanded to bring the book of records; and Mordecai was found written – Esther 6:1-3

Joseph also had similar experience and God rewarded him at the appointed time. See it.

Genesis 41:1 And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed: and, behold, he stood by the river.

Gen 41:9 — Gen 41:14 Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day: Pharaoh was wroth with his servants, and put me in ward in the captain of the guard’s house, both me and the chief baker: And we dreamed a dream in one night, I and he; we dreamed each man according to the interpretation of his dream. And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret. And it came to pass, as he interpreted to us, so it was; me he restored unto mine office, and him he hanged. Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him hastily out of the dungeon: and he shaved himself, and changed his raiment, and came in unto Pharaoh.

God that rewarded both Joseph and Mordecai shall remember you too , as you continue in the good works till Jesus comes for you in particular, at the time of the dawning rapture.

So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre. – Esther 5:2

Beloved God from time immemorial has always distinguished His people by favouring them.

Praise God since you are one of His people, you also shall be favoured till Christ comes in Jesus name.

Settle it in your heart God is set to favour you and it is now . The global lockdowns will never hindered you from being favoured in Jesus name.

Psalms 102:13 Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | THE GOLDEN SCEPTRE | And the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that she obtained favour – Esther 5:2

See Some saints that God favoured in both old and new testaments. Because He has not changed, according to His unfailing faithfulness and promises, you also like them shall be favoured in Jesus name.

Psalms 5:12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

Joseph

Genesis 39:21 But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.

The children of Israel.

Exo 12:36 And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

Daniel

Daniel 1:9 Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.

Mary

Luk 1:26 — Luk 1:28 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

But then the book of Esther revealed a sure and unfailing pathway for you to access and sustain lifetime favor of God.

LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | THE GOLDEN SCEPTRE | And the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that she obtained favour – Esther 5:2

Remember, the entire books of the Bible from Genesis to Revelations are testimonies about our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

The book of Esther revealed our Lord as the glorious scepter through which penitent sinners can regain God’s lost favour at Eden. See it.

In the days of King Ahaseruis, no body can come to His presence without being invited. If it happens and the king did not stretch out his scepter, it is instant death for such a person.

Esther 4:11 All the king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or woman, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live: but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.

LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | THE GOLDEN SCEPTRE | And the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that she obtained favour – Esther 5:2

Very unfortunately, the Jews were to be exterminated and Queen Esther needed to secure audience with the king and stopped it.

She put her life in her hand and went to see the king..

Est 4:16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

But then God favoured her, the king stretched out the scepter and her life was preserved.

Esther 5:2 And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.

In the same token after the unfortunate incident at Eden, when Adam and Eve went into disobedience, the entire human race lost the favour of God and were separated from Him.

Any attempt by a sinner to reach out to God will incur His anger and eternal death for such rebellious sinner.

Psalms 7:11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.

Exo 32:9 — Exo 32:10 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.

LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | THE GOLDEN SCEPTRE | And the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that she obtained favour – Esther 5:2

Beloved as for you I am persuaded that you are not one of the religious churchgoers. You have been restored back to lost favour through the vicarious sacrifice of our Lord on the account of your penitence. Endeavor to sustain the relationship till you meet Him in the air , after the dawning rapture.

Proverbs 8:35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

But just in case this has not happened, do something immediately to avert the wrath of God awaiting such people inside and outside the church. See it.

Rev 14:10 — Rev 14:11 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Do the needful now and receive mercy of the Lord, tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Isa 55:6 — Isa 55:7 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

2 Corinthians 6:2 For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

Beloved, saints of all ages, that must include you shall continue to be eternally grateful to our loving Father in heaven, for given us our Lord Jesus Christ, the unspeakable gift, who is much more than a savior and Lord for us.

This is because Jesus our Lord during His earthly ministry, lived exeplanry lifestyle for saints of all ages and you in particular to replicate and experience noble prizes here and hereafter. These in deed are your heritage and they shall not elude you in particular in Jesus name.

No wonder the blessed Holy Spirit exhorts believers of all ages, especially you to look unto Jesus and follow His exeplanry lifestyle for your earthly and eternal well being. See these.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Dearly beloved because you are going to be blessed on this side of heaven and at eternity,, there are dear prices to pay like Jesus to harvest incorruptible prizes.

Queen Esther

Esther 4:15-16 Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer, Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

Joseph

Gen 39:7 — Gen 39:10 And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

The Patriarchs.: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob etc.

Heb 11:13 — Heb 11:16 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

Regrettably beloved, there were some people in Bible days both in old and new testaments, who failed to pay requisite dear prices, because of this, they lost incorruptible prizes. This shall not be your portion. You must determindly avoid it.

Heb 12:15 — Heb 12:17 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | WILLING TO PAY THE PRICE | so will I go in unto the king, which is wrong: and if I perish, I perish. – Esther 4:15-16

Judas

Mat 27:3 — Mat 27:5 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Because you have resolved not be like Esau and Judas,. See what you must do till you meet Jesus in the air after the dawning rapture.

Psalms 50:5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

1Co 9:24 — 1Co 9:27 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

The grace of God shall avail for you and be sufficient in Jesus name.

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Beloved, whatever is happening to others globally and they are being cast down shall not affect you in Jesus name.

You in particular shall continue to experience divine lifting, while others are cast down in Jesus name.

Job 22:29 When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.

But then never ever forget, promotion is from the Lord. He decides to put one down and lift another up.

He put down king Saul and set up king David. He put down queen Vasti and lifted up queen Esther.

Psa 75:6 — Psa 75:7 For promotion cometh neither from the east,
nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge:
he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

Esther 2:17 And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.

LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | LOVED, GRACED AND FAVOURED | And the king loved Esther, and she obtained grace and favour – Esther 2:17

However, like Esther if you desire divine promotion that comes from the Lord, you must live a lifestyle, that is always ready to receive godly instructions from God.

Pro 4:11 — Pro 4:13 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom;
I have led thee in right paths.
When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble.
Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

Esther was an orphan. Mordecai the uncle trained her and she willingly submitted to instructions from him.

Est 2:5 — Est 2:7 Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite; Who had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captivity which had been carried away with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away. And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle’s daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.

Esther 2:10 Esther had not shewed her people nor her kindred: for Mordecai had charged her that she should not shew it.

LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | LOVED, GRACED AND FAVOURED | And the king loved Esther, and she obtained grace and favour – Esther 2:17

Beloved, there is a great lesson to learn from Esther, if you also desire lifting of the Lord. He will lift you too up in Jesus name.

When Esther was brought to compete with other virgins for the vacant position of the queen for the kingdom.

The first thing she did was to recognize the leadership of Hegai, the king’s chamberlain in charge of the selection.

She sought guidance from him, on how she would conduct herself, when it gets to her turn to see the king.

So Hegai took time to tutor her, on the likes and dislikes of the king and the king’s expectations from the next queen.

While other virgins relied on their beauty, she was equipped with intellectual capabilities the king was looking for in the next queen.
You night want to buy the film and see how Esther was tutored by Hegai.

She found favour of the king, and was preferred above all others not on the account of beauty, but intellectual astuteness.

Esther 2:15 Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her for his daughter, was come to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the king’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women, appointed. And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her.

LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | LOVED, GRACED AND FAVOURED | And the king loved Esther, and she obtained grace and favour – Esther 2:17

No doubt God lifted Esther to the position of the queen of the kingdom, but she also prepared herself to assume the position.

It was not only Esther, Joseph, Samuel,, Ezra, David, Jotham etc all these saints of old did the same thing. They prepared themselves to occupy the positions God purposed for them.

Beloved, has God given you a dream or vision of His plan for your life? Then it takes more than fasting and prayers to actualize it.

You also like Esther must develop yourself intellectualy to function in the capacity of your dream. The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

Proverbs 24:27 Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.

Eza 7:10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.

2Ch 27:6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.

LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | LOVED, GRACED AND FAVOURED | And the king loved Esther, and she obtained grace and favour – Esther 2:17

In addition to intellectual development, you also need to harken to godly instructions from the Lord, to facilitate actualization of His purpose for your life.

It is expedient for you to hear and do the sayings of Jesus our Lord to make you wise and be fulfilled here and hereafter. This shall be your portion in Jesus name.

Those who do otherwise are considered to be foolish and are destined to fall here and hereafter. It will never ever be your portion in Jesus name.

Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

Mat 7:24 — Mat 7:27 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Rev 3:10 — Rev 3:11 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | LOVED, GRACED AND FAVOURED | And the king loved Esther, and she obtained grace and favour – Esther 2:17

The good Lord shall help you in particular to be lifted like queen Esther, as you also heed instructions of the Lord in Jesus name.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Revelation 2:25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

Act 16:4 — Act 16:5 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem. And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Beloved, I pray for you and your family that you shall all continue to enjoy the ceaseless help of God till your old age in Jesus name. This is because our Father’s name is Ebenezer, the God that help His children till old age

1Sa 7:12 Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.

Isa 46:4 And even to your old age I am he;and even to hoar hairs will I carry you:I have made, and I will bear;even I will carry, and will deliver you.

But then do you know that some people inside or outside the church can never ever receive the help of God, our loving Father in heaven and Jesus Christ our Lord?

LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | THE FALL OF PRIDE | If it please the king, let Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus – Esther 1:19

The undoing of these group of people is pride. Both on earth and in heaven, God shall resist and be separated from them.

Psalms 138:6 Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

1 Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | THE FALL OF PRIDE | If it please the king, let Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus – Esther 1:19

Both our Father in heaven and Jesus can only relate with those who are poor in spirit , they resist everyone who are proud in spirit.

Isaiah 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD:
but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Always remember that both on earth and in heaven, only the humble shall receive the blessings of the Lord. But, you shall receive His blessings in Jesus name.

Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy;
I dwell in the high and holy place,
with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Mat 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

1Pe 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | THE FALL OF PRIDE | If it please the king, let Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus – Esther 1:19

Beloved, see instances of the proud beings that were abased by God.

Queen Vasti, lost her royal position on account of pride.

Esther 1:19 If it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she.

Est 1:10 — Est 1:12 On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king, To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal, to shew the people and the princes her beauty: for she was fair to look on. But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him.

King Nebuchadnezzar.

Dan 4:31 — Dan 4:33 While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.

Lucifer, the arc angel that became satan on account of pride.

Isa 14:12 — Isa 14:15 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven,I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

LESSONS FROM BIBLE LEADERS – ESTHER | THE FALL OF PRIDE | If it please the king, let Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus – Esther 1:19

Beloved, I am persuaded you are not a proud person and you shall not be in Jesus name.

But then a proud person like queen Vasti, is anyone rejecting the commandments of God, the King of Kings, like Vasti rejected the commandment of the king and was removed.

Check up sincerely, are you poor or proud in the spirit? If you discover you are poor in the spirit, sustain it. But if you are proud, repent now to avert both earthly and eternal consequences.

Dan 4:37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.

May the good Lord help you to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | June 24, 2020 | LESSONS FROM LEADERS IN THE BIBLE – NEHEMIAH | WALKING IN THE LAW OF GOD | And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding; They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God’s law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes; And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons: And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt. – Nehemiah 10:28-31

Beloved I rejoice and celebrate you because of your noble decision to be a wise person at a time like this, when we are in the perilous time.

Brethren that are wise biblically, like you, live by two distinctive characteristics.

1. They live continually with eternity in view.

Deuteronomy 32:29 O that they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider their latter end!

2. They are addicted to hearing and doing the entirety of the sayings of Christ.

Mat 7:24 — Mat 7:25 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

LESSONS FROM LEADERS IN THE BIBLE – NEHEMIAH | WALKING IN THE LAW OF GOD | They separated themselves unto the law of God – Nehemiah 10:28-31

Beloved, because you are part of the few wise people remaining in Christ Church, commit yourself determindly to be doing these two characteristics till Christ comes.

This becomes absolutely necessary, because they secure your earthly and eternal well-being and leads to your perfection.

Earthly and eternal well-being.

Jn 12:46 — Jn 12:48 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day

Perfection.

2Ti 3:16 — 2Ti 3:17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

LESSONS FROM LEADERS IN THE BIBLE – NEHEMIAH | WALKING IN THE LAW OF GOD | They separated themselves unto the law of God – Nehemiah 10:28-31

Both in the old and new testaments, the scriptures, affirms that saints of all ages and you in particular, should live by the entirety of the word of God in the Bible.

In addition, under no circumstances should anyone or you add or remove from the word of God in the Bible.

Deu 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

Pro 30:5 — Pro 30:6 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Add thou not unto his words,
lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Rev 22:18 — Rev 22:19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

LESSONS FROM LEADERS IN THE BIBLE – NEHEMIAH | WALKING IN THE LAW OF GOD | They separated themselves unto the law of God – Nehemiah 10:28-31

It was this commandment not to add or diminish from God’s words that made the Jews in the days of Nehemiah, to enter into covenant to live by the entirety of the law God gave to Moses the man of God.

You also should follow their noble and exemplary lifestyle.

Neh 10:28 — Neh 10:31 And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the porters, the singers, the Nethinims, and all they that had separated themselves from the people of the lands unto the law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, every one having knowledge, and having understanding; They clave to their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God’s law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes; And that we would not give our daughters unto the people of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons: And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt

No wonder, Jesus, the truth personified, who has been from eternity past, exhorted believers of all ages, especially you to follow this exemplary lifestyle of these Jews and live by the entirety of the word of God.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

LESSONS FROM LEADERS IN THE BIBLE – NEHEMIAH | WALKING IN THE LAW OF GOD | They separated themselves unto the law of God – Nehemiah 10:28-31

Also prior to His ascension He gave commandment that His church till He comes should be taught the entire word of God.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Only by doing this that the eternal well being of both the ministers and believers are secured.

1 Timothy 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

It is noteworthy that ministers in Bible days commited themselves to this non optional commandment of Christ.

Act 20:26 — Act 20:27 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

Beloved, because you are wise, commit yourself too, to a lifestyle of living by the entirety of the word of God that you have been taught till Christ comes. The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

Revelation 2:25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | June 23, 2020 | NEHEMIAH | PURIFICATION OF THE LEVITES [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible ] | And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall. – Nehemiah 12:30

Beloved even at a time like this, you can be enlisted for honor. God in deed shall honour you till you meet Jesus in the sky in Jesus name.

One biblical pathway to God’s honour is to serve Jesus. Please engage in living for Him and advancing His kingdom henceforth.

John 12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

NEHEMIAH | PURIFICATION [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible] | And the priests and the Levites purified and seperated themselves – Nehemiah 12:30

But then only sanctified vessels can serve the Lord acceptably and be rewarded. I am persuaded that this can never pose any difficulty for you.

2 Timothy 2:19-21 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

Colossians 3:23-4 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

It is noteworthy that both in the old and new testaments, the conditions for acceptable service to the Lord are still the same and unchanged

Exodus 18:19-22 Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God: And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do. Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens: And let them judge the people at all seasons: and it shall be, that every great matter they shall bring unto thee, but every small matter they shall judge: so shall it be easier for thyself, and they shall bear the burden with thee.

Isaiah 52:11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.

Acts 6:2-3 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.

NEHEMIAH | PURIFICATION [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible] | And the priests and the Levites purified and seperated themselves – Nehemiah 12:30

This was the exact thing that was put in place during the days of Nehemiah for acceptable service for the Levites and others.

Nehemiah 12:30 And the priests and the Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, and the gates, and the wall.

Interestingly, the Bible reveals saints in Bible days that God engaged in rewardable service, because they willingly and submissively meet the conditions.

NEHEMIAH | PURIFICATION [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible] | And the priests and the Levites purified and seperated themselves – Nehemiah 12:30

Isaiah

Isa 6:1 — Isa 6:8 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke. Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

Our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

NEHEMIAH | PURIFICATION [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible] | And the priests and the Levites purified and seperated themselves – Nehemiah 12:30

Paul apostle and his team.

1 Thessalonians 2:10 Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:

I am persuaded that you are set for God:s enviable honour for rewardable service. So join the throng and consecrate yourself, till Jesus comes.

Psalms 50:5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.

1 Chronicles 29:5 The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?

May the good Lord depend on you in Jesus name.

Beloved, it is the earnest plea of multitude of churchgoers for God to remember them.

Like Hannah, they are desirous that God should remember them.

1 Samuel 1:11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

NEHEMIAH | REMEMBER ME O LORD [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible ] | Remember me, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds – Nehemiah 13:14

I pray for you and your family that God shall remember you all for good in Jesus name.

It is important for you to know that when God remembers anyone, He is set to do something only Him can do for such a person. This is what God shall do for you as He remembers you in Jesus name. See this.

Gen 30:22 — Gen 30:23 And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb. And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach:

But then it is very very unfortunate that such people yearning for God to remember them, they themselves don’t remember God.

They have forgotten Him and He is not in their thoughts at all. I am persuaded that you have not forgotten God.

Psalms 10:4 The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts

NEHEMIAH | REMEMBER ME O LORD [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible ] | Remember me, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds – Nehemiah 13:14

Beloved, if there is anything you must know, it is the truth, that God wants you in particular, to remember Him, His commandments and His marvelous works, sufficient for your desired breakthroughs. See all these.

Ecc 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw

Num 15:39 — Num 15:40 And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring: That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

1Ch 16:11 — 1Ch 16:12 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;

NEHEMIAH | REMEMBER ME O LORD [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible ] | Remember me, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds – Nehemiah 13:14

Always remember that Bible days saints first remembered God, before they asked Him to remember them. See these.

Nehemiah

Neh 13:14 Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.

King Hezekiah

2Ki 20:1 — 2Ki 20:6. In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live. Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying, I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying, Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD. And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.

So therefore beloved, I want to also encourage you too, to remember God now, remember His commandments in the Bible and His marvelous works which makes Him alone to be sufficient for you to attain anything in your life.

The Bible gives of records of saints God remembered in Bible days, which gives you in particular assurance that from now till Jesus comes, God shall always remember you in particular for good in Jesus name.

NEHEMIAH | REMEMBER ME O LORD [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible ] | Remember me, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds – Nehemiah 13:14

Noah and his family

Genesis 8:1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged;

Abraham, because he prayed and Lot was saved from destruction of Sodom.

Gen 19:29 And it came to pass, when God destroyed the cities of the plain, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when he overthrew the cities in the which Lot dwelt.

In addition, I want to plead with you to remember these two things at this perilous time.

1. Your first love for Christ before COVID 19 pandemic.

Revelation 2:4-5 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

2. The dawning rapture. So make sure you have done everything that shall make you ready as a wise virgin, including your restitutions.

2 Timothy 2:8 Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:

NEHEMIAH | REMEMBER ME O LORD [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible ] | Remember me, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds – Nehemiah 13:14

Anytime you remember the resurrection of Christ, it is a pointer to remind you of the rapture. As He resurrected and ascended to heaven, so is the dead in Christ shall be raised and then we that are alive shall join them.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | June 21, 2020 | NEHEMIAH – DONT LOOK BACK or GIVE UP [  Lessons from leaders in the Bible ] | Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay thee; yea, in the night will they come to slay thee. And I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being as I am, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in. – Nehemiah 6:10-11

Beloved there is something common to both old and new testaments saints, they persevered in persecutions, when God’s glory is at stake. See some instances.

Nehemiah.

Neh 6:10 — Neh 6:11 Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who was shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay thee; yea, in the night will they come to slay thee. And I said, Should such a man as I flee? and who is there, that, being as I am, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.

NEHEMIAH – DONT LOOK BACK or GIVE UP [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible] | And I said, Should such a man as I flee? – Nehemiah 6:10-11

Queen Esther.

Est 4:15 — Est 4:16 Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer, Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish

The three Hebrews.

Dan 3:14 — Dan 3:18 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

NEHEMIAH – DONT LOOK BACK or GIVE UP [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible] | And I said, Should such a man as I flee? – Nehemiah 6:10-11

Jesus Christ our Lord.

Luk 13:31 — Luk 13:33 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee. And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

Apostle Peter and John

Act 5:27 — Act 5:33 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.
Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

NEHEMIAH – DONT LOOK BACK or GIVE UP [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible] | And I said, Should such a man as I flee? – Nehemiah 6:10-11

Paul the apostle.

Act 20:24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Act 21:11 — Act 21:14 And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles. And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem. Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.

You also like them, someday, somehow shall be faced with same challenges , may the Lord depend on you in particular in Jesus name.

This shall happen because, Jesus our Lord and the blessed Holy Spirit said, all believers of all ages and you in particular shall suffer because of your faith in Christ.

NEHEMIAH – DONT LOOK BACK or GIVE UP [ Lessons from leaders in the Bible] | And I said, Should such a man as I flee? – Nehemiah 6:10-11

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

When this happens, you must not compromise or deny your faith.

Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Those who profess religion and compromise because of persecutions shall be denied by Christ.

2Ti 2:10 — 2Ti 2:13 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

Always remember the glory awaiting you after the light afflictions are incomparable to the present challenges.

Rom 8:17 — Rom 8:18 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
