Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. – Romans 12:17

Beloved brethren, because of the eternal consequence of not adhering to this all important admontion, the blessed Holy Spirit, reaffirms it again.

This is because it has been the undoing of some carefree churchgoers, and had made them to be guilty of murder. See it.

1 John 3:15
Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

To help you in particular to avert what happened to these carefree churchgoers, you are being admonished again

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. – Romans 12:17

Meaning:

Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable.

Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is honest and proper and noble [aiming to be above reproach] in the sight of everyone.

See how the scriptures affirms the importance of not rendering evil for evil. See it yourself again.

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. – Romans 12:17

Proverbs 20:22 Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee.

Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Matthew 5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

1 Thessalonians 5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

1 Peter 3:9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

But then apart from this, it is also very very important that you must be honest before God and men.

2 Corinthians 8:20 Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us: 8:21 Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

Provide (in the sense of take forethought for) things honest (or fair, or honourable) in the sight of all men

You are not only to do what you know to be right in the sight of God, but also to have regard to the view that will be taken of your conduct by other men.

You must not give any just cause for your good being evil spoken of.

Romans 14:16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:

1 Peter 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

You as a Bible believing believers, is under compulsion to provide things honest. See it yourself again.

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. – Romans 12:17

See how other Bible passages affirms the importance of providing things honest.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 4:9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

1 Thessalonians 4:12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

1 Peter 3:16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

The good Lord shall help you in particular to commit yourself to doing according this scripture till Christ comes.

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. – Romans 12:17

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | June 16, 2021 | THE BEATITUDES | Be not wise in your own conceits

Be of the same mind. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. - Romans 12:16
Be of the same mind. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. - Romans 12:16

Be of the same mind. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. – Romans 12:16

Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. – Romans 12:16

Beloved brethren, I really want to appeal to you, to give attention to this particular verse of the Bible and thoughtfully examine yourself, with the admonitions.

This passage reveals three different Christian virtues that must characterise the lifestyle of a Bible believing believer, like you.

Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!

Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty (snobbish, high-minded, exclusive), but readily adjust yourself to [people, things] and give yourselves to humble tasks. Never overestimate yourself or be wise in your own conceits.

See what the scriptures says again.

Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. – Romans 12:16

Very very unfortunately, even believers that claimed to be sanctified, are very very guilty of the truth revealed in this passage.

See the three different Christian virtues.

1. Be of the same mind one toward another.

2. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate.

3. Be not wise in your own conceits.

But then we give all glory and honor to Jesus Christ our Lord, who lived exemplary lifestyle during His earthly ministry.

He distinguished Himself on the there Christian virtues.

It was this gracious lifestyle that made God the Father, to exalt Him highly . See it.

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

How do you in particular, fare in your Christian lifestyle, on these three virtues?

Beloved brethren, pause and sincerely examine yourself on these virtues one by one.

See them again

1. Be of the same mind one toward another. Meaning.

Be of the same mind one toward another. Having mutual good feelings one towards another. Be in harmony, peaceable with others. Live in harmony with each other.

2. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Meaning.

Instead of being ambitious, you should let yourself be drawn willingly to the lowlier spheres of usefulness to which you may be called.

Do not place yourself on a pedestal that you think, you can not relate or associate with some people, because of your position in the office or in the church.

James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? 2:6 But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

Like our Lord Jesus Christ, see what apostle Paul said about himself.

Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 4:12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. – Romans 12:16

3. Be not wise in your own conceits.

In addition you must never be wise in your own conceit.

Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Proverbs 26:12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.

Isaiah 5:21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight

But then be scripturally wise.

James 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 3:14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 3:15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

See this scripture again and make it your lifestyle, till Christ comes.

Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. – Romans 12:16

Rejoice with them that do rejoice [ Be happy with those who are happy ], and weep [ mourn ] with them that weep [ mourn ]. – Romans 12:15

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. – Romans 12:15

Dearly beloved brethren, over and over the scriptures affirm that as strangers and pilgrims on this side of heaven, Bible believing believers shall ,as a matter of compulsion, go through different seasons.

Remember, you are strangers and pilgrims.

Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

But then you are subjected to different seasons on this side of heaven.

Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 3:2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3:3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 3:4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. – Romans 12:15

It is for this cause that the blessed Holy Spirit admonished Bible believing believers on what to do at these different seasons. See it yourself.

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. – Romans 12:15

Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep.

Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing others’ joy], and weep with those who weep [sharing others’ grief].

When ever, fellow believers are rejoicing, rejoice with them.

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. – Romans 12:15

See instances of rejoicing by the people of God.

Isaiah 66:10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her: 66:11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory. 66:12 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. 66:13 As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. 66:14 And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.

Luke 1:57 Now Elisabeth’s full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son. 1:58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

Luke 15:5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 15:6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. 15:8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? 15:9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. 15:10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Acts 11:19 Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only. 11:20 And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the LORD Jesus. 11:21 And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord. 11:22 Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch. 11:23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.

However, when something has happened that made God’s people to weep, you must equally identify with them and empathize and commiserate with them also. See this yourself again.

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. – Romans 12:15

See instances of weeping by the people of God.

Nehemiah 1:1 The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace, 1:2 That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. 1:3 And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire. 1:4 And it came to pass, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven,

Job 2:11 Now when Job’s three friends heard of all this evil that was come upon him, they came every one from his own place; Eliphaz the Temanite, and Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.

Psalms 35:13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. 35:14 I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.

John 11:19 And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. 11:33 When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, 11:34 And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. 11:35 Jesus wept. 11:36 Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him!

Philippians 2:25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. 2:26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.

Hebrews 13:3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

Remember, to always rejoice or weep with the people of God in their different seasons.

Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. – Romans 12:15

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer [ tribulation enduring; in the prayer persevering;; – Romans 12:12 ]

Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. – Romans 12:14

Beloved brethren, don’t be surprised, when you are persecuted by others.

It is the common lot of all Bible believing believers of all ages and you are not exempted.

See what the scriptures says about the persecution of all Bible believing believers of all ages.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

1 Thessalonians 3:3 That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto. 3:4 For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

However, when you are persecuted, because of your faith in God, you should relate biblically with your persecutors.

Bless those who persecute you. Don’t curse them; pray that God will bless them.

Bless those who persecute you [who are cruel in their attitude toward you]; bless and do not curse them.

See what the scriptures says, should be your response to those persecuting you.

Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. – Romans 12:14

Romans 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Job 31:29 If I rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, or lifted up myself when evil found him: 31:30 Neither have I suffered my mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Luke 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Acts 7:60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

1 Corinthians 4:12 And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: 4:13 Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.

1 Thessalonians 5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 2:23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

1 Peter 3:9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

These were the ways Bible believing believers of all ages have responded to their persecutors.

Always remember, what the scriptures says should be your attitude to those persecuting you. See it yourself again.

Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. – Romans 12:14

Receive grace to do so , till Christ comes in Jesus name.

Distributing to the necessity of saints [ contributing to the needs of the saints ]; given to hospitality. – Romans 12:13

Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. – Romans 12:13

Beloved brethren there is something you know that you have been doing and that you must continue to do till Christ comes.

The blessed Holy Spirit is putting you in particular in remembrance of it again.

It is Christlike love . The practical love that gives to the brethren and all other men, as God gives you opportunity. See this yourself.

Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. – Romans 12:13

And so the blessed Holy Spirit is putting you in particular in remembrance.

1 Timothy 4:6
If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

2 Peter 1:12
Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.

2 Peter 1:13
Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;

Beloved brethren, see what the blessed Holy Spirit says.

When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them. Always be eager to practice hospitality.

Always contribute to the needs of God’s people [sharing in the necessities of the saints]; pursue the practice of hospitality. See several instances in the scriptures.

Romans 15:25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints. 15:26 For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. 15:27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things. 15:28 When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.

Psalms 41:1 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. 41:2 The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. 41:3 The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

Acts 4:34 Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 4:35 And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need. 4:36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, 4:37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

Acts 9:36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. 9:37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. 9:38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. 9:39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. 9:40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. 9:41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.

Acts 10:1 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, 10:2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway. 10:3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. 10:4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

Acts 20:33 I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel. 20:34 Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me. 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

1 Corinthians 16:1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. 16:3 And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. – Romans 12:13

2 Corinthians 8:1 Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; 8:2 How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. 8:3 For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves; 8:4 Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. 8:5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

2 Corinthians 9:1 For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you: 9:12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Philemon 1:4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, 1:5 Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; 1:6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. 1:7 For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Hebrews 13:16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Dearly beloved brethren, as you have seen these inexhaustible instances in the Bible, begin to distribute to the necessity of the saints. The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name. See this scripture again.

Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. – Romans 12:13

However, beloved brethren as it becometh saints, don’t let the scriptures below be mentioned about you in particular. See them.

1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 3:17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

James 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

In addition, don’t just distribute to the necessity of the saints, be given and be addicted to hospitality like the house of Stephanus. See this yourself.

1 Corinthians 16:15
I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)

The Bible says you in particular should be given to hospitality. See this yourself again.

Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. – Romans 12:13

Beloved, see instances of hospitality in the Bible.

Genesis 18:1 And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 18:2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, 18:3 And said, My LORD, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: 18:4 Let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: 18:5 And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said. 18:6 And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth. 18:7 And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetcht a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it. 18:8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

Genesis 19:1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; 19:2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night. 19:3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.

So the admonition from the scriptures on biblical hospitality.

1 Timothy 3:1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

1 Timothy 5:9 Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man, 5:10 Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

Titus 1:7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; 1:8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate;

Hebrews 13:1 Let brotherly love continue. 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. 13:3 Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 4:9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

Beloved brethren, our Lord said, by these Christlike given, shall men know that you in particular, are one of His disciples

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

The blessed Holy Spirit affirms the word of Christ and said, you should distribute to the necessity of the saints and be given to hospitality. See this yourself again.

So go and do likewise.

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; – Romans 12:12

Beloved brethren, have you received any promise from the Lord?

Always remember, His promises can not fail. He will surely do, what He promised.

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? 23:20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

Luke 1:45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord

However, God has appointed time to fulfill all His promises for all Bible believing believers of all ages and that includes you. See the following scriptures.

Genesis 21:1 And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. 21:2 For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

Habakkuk 2:3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

It is because of this appointed time that makes you to hope in Him and rejoice in hope. See what the scriptures says about hoping in God.

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; – Romans 12:12

Beloved brethren, see what the scriptures says about those that hoped in God.

Hebrews 6:12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Hebrews 6:15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Psalms 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. 40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Psalms 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. 16:10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

The reason for hoping in God is because, God Himself is God of hope.

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

And because God is God of hope, all Bible believing believers including you are exhorted to hope in Him, no matter what your present challenges are. See the following:

Romans 5:3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 5:4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

Romans 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Psalms 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

Lamentations 3:24 The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 3:25 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. 3:26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

Luke 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

Luke 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.

Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 6:19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

Hebrews 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. 10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; – Romans 12:12

Beloved brethren, the scriptures alone is your basis for hoping in God.

Psalms 119:49 Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Always remember, whatever your present situation and challenges, remember, to rejoice in hope.

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; – Romans 12:12

However, it is very very important that while you are rejoicing in hope, you must add this great virtue to your lifestyle. You must be determinedly be patient in your tribulation and challenges.

Rejoice and exult in hope; be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation; be constant in prayer. See what the scriptures says.

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; – Romans 12:12

Romans 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. 5:8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

James 5:10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

Lastly, as you continue to rejoice in hope and patient in tribulation, you must continue to pray fervently.

Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. See what the Bible says.

Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; – Romans 12:12

This was exactly what others in Bible days had done, during their challenges. See, some of the scriptures to affirm this.

Hebrews 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;

Acts 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Acts 6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

Acts 12:5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

The Bible encourage you in particular to pray and pray always.

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; 6:19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Beloved brethren, remember , God’s unfailing unchanging promises shall be fulfilled in His appointed time. Because of this, you must rejoice in hope, patient in tribulation and continue in prayers.

The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

Not slothful in business [ not lagging in diligence ]; fervent in spirit [ keep your spiritual fervor ]; serving the Lord; – Romans 12:11

Dearly beloved brethren, the blessed Holy Spirit gives Bible believing believers three admonitions that are very very important and essential.

The first one.

In business you must be diligent not slothful; in spirit fervent. You must do with your might whatever your hand finds to do; and then , with fervent zeal); serving the Lord.

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; – Romans 12:11

Bible believing believers are not to be lazy but dilligent in the work of their hands, the source of their livelihood.

Proverbs 22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

You must never be lazy, but working hard and serving the Lord enthusiastically

Proverbs 6:4 Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids. 6:5 Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler. 6:6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: 6:7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, 6:8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. 6:9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? 6:10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 6:11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

Proverbs 24:30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; 24:31 And, lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. 24:32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction. 24:33 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 24:34 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man.

Anyone who is lazy shall be poor and begging others to live. This shall not be your portion in Jesus name m

1 Thessalonians 4:11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; 4:12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; – Romans 12:11

So be dilligent.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

The second one.

Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord. You must be fervent.

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; – Romans 12:11

Acts 18:25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.

Colossians 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. 4:13 For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

1 Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

You must as a matter of compulsion avoid lethargy, lukewarmness and coldness.

Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold

Revelation 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

Revelation 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

You must continue to burn for the Lord.

John 5:35
He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus mighty name.

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; – Romans 12:11

The third one.

You must be zealous in the performance of all your duties. This is because, even in the discharge of your secular work you are serving the Lord.

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; – Romans 12:11

Ephesians 6:5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; 6:7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: 6:8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

Colossians 3:22 Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God: 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 3:24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Colossians 4:1 Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.

Titus 2:9 Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again; 2:10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

Hebrews 12:28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

Dearly beloved brethren, the grace of God shall avail for you as you heed the three all important admonitions of the blessed Holy Spirit in Jesus name.. See for yourself again.

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; – Romans 12:11

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | June 10, 2021 | THE BEATITUDES | In honor preferring one another

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; - Romans 12:10
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; - Romans 12:10

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; – Romans 12:10

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; – Romans 12:10

Beloved brethren, because you are desirous to live for Christ, because you loved Him, then be kindly affections to others.

2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

This kind affection puts us on to express ourselves both in word and action with the greatest courtesy and in honour preferring one another.

This biblical affections signifies not only love, but a readiness and inclination to love, the most genuine and free affection, kindness flowing out as from a spring.
See what the scriptures says.

Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Acts 4:32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

Galatians 5:6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Colossians 1:4 Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; – Romans 12:10

1 Thessalonians 4:9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

2 Thessalonians 1:3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

Hebrews 13:1 Let brotherly love continue.

1 Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

1 Peter 2:17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

1 Peter 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 3:9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

2 Peter 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

1 John 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. 2:10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. 2:11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous. 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. 3:17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; – Romans 12:10

1 John 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

1 John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

Dearly beloved brethren, receive grace that is sufficient to love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.

Endeavour determinedly till Christ comes to love one another with brotherly affection [as members of one family], giving precedence and showing honor to one another.

Remember, never ever forget, this is the expectation of the Lord from you in particular as a Bible believing believers. See this yourself again.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

John 15:17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Such must your love be to one another, and such it will be where there is a new nature and the law of love is written in your heart. See it yourself again.

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; – Romans 12:10

So go and be doing likewise

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. – Romans 12:9

Dearly beloved brethren, during the earthly ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ, on several occasions, He taught His followers on the importance of loving God with all their hearts and loving others too with unfeigned love.

This becomes necessary because loving God and others with unfeigned love will make you Christlike and influence others, like it did at Antioch.

Acts 11:26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Remember, as a Bible believing believer, Christ wants you to shine and bring glory to God.

Philippians 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

2 Corinthians 3:2
Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. – Romans 12:9

This is the expectation of God and even others from all Bible believing believers of all ages and that includes you.

Mark 12:28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

The blessed Holy Spirit further reinforced to all Bible believing believers, like you, on the importance of loving others without pretence or deception. See it.

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. – Romans 12:9

Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.

Let your love be sincere (a real thing); hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good.

This unfeigned love was reemphasized severally in the scriptures by the blessed Holy Spirit to affirm the importance of the necessity of unfeigned love among believers. ,see some of them.

2 Corinthians 6:6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned,

2 Corinthians 8:8 I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

1 Timothy 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

James 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

1 Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

1 John 3:17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Beloved brethren, always remember, never ever forget, you must continue to love others with unfeigned love, till Christ comes. This is His unchanging expectatios from His followers of all ages and you in particular. See it yourself again.

Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. – Romans 12:6-8

BELOVED BRETHREN, THE CHURCH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST AND HAVE DIFFERENT MINISTRIES AND FUNCTIONS THAT ARE IMPORTANT AND NECESSARY. AND NO ONE MEMBER OR MINISTRY, IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE OTHERS.

1 Corinthians 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many. 12:15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 12:16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 12:17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. 12:19 And if they were all one member, where were the body? 12:20 But now are they many members, yet but one body. 12:21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. 12:22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: 12:23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. 12:24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: 12:25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

Beloved all of the members of the church, including you in particular are equipped to be occupied till Christ comes.

Luke 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Beloved you are not in any way inferior to others. Without your own ministry being fulfilled, the whole body shall be affected and be sick. You are very very important, always remember this.

But then you need to discover your ministry and determinedly fulfill it. This is because, it will earn you in particular, reward from Christ, the head of the church.

Matthew 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 24:46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 24:47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

Luke 12:42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? 12:43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 12:44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

This was exactly what Paul apostle did. You also must do likewise.

Acts 20:20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,

So beloved discover your ministry, as given by Christ and fulfill it. Don’t envy others and what they are doing. You could even be far better rewarded if you fulfill your own ministry faithfully.

No one ministry is more important than the others.

Yours might be preaching and teaching, singing and praying, cleaning and giving.
Ruling and administration.

For instance, see the ministry of giving. This ministry is not inferior to the ministry of preaching and teaching. See this yourself. The ministry of giving in the church as revealed both in the old and new testaments.
.
Romans 12:13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

Deuteronomy 15:14 Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy floor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the LORD thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.

Isaiah 58:7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? 58:8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward. 58:9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; 58:10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day: 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

1 Peter 4:9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging. 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 4:11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Beloved you must not be thinking, I am just singing, or I am just cleaning, I am just a prayer warrior or I am just giving. Those who are teaching or preaching are not more important than you.

So make sure you fulfill your God’s given ministry and be rewarded by Christ here and hereafter.

Colossians 4:17
And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.

Remember, no one ministry is inferior to the other. Christ gave you the ministry and commanded you in particular to be occupied till He comes.

So do it faithfully and wholeheartedly and you shall be commensurately rewarded when He comes.

1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

1 Peter 5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 5:3 Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Beloved brethren, please endeavour to discover your ministry and fulfill it. See this yourself again.
