Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness and tender mercies. - Psalms 119:159

Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness and tender mercies. – Psalms 119:159

Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness. – Psalms 119:159

Dearly beloved brethren, God the Father has a special and unchanging stance towards His unfailing, eternal, unchanging words in the Bible.

He magnified His words more than His name.. See this yourself.

Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

The reason for this, is because His words are forever settled in heaven and shall not pass away.

Psalms 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness. – Psalms 119:159

Beloved, because of all these, He equally expects His people of all ages and that includes you to have reverential regards for His words.

See some of the ways, He expects you to handle His words in the Bible.

1. Delight in them and regularly meditate on them.

Psalms 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

2. His words must not depart from your mouth and you must be doing them.

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

3. Be obedient unto the entirety of them.

Exodus 24:7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.

4. Esteem them more than silver or gold.

Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness. – Psalms 119:159

5. Use them for spiritual cleansing.

Psalms 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

6. Hid them in your heart to hinder you from sinning.

Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

7. Live by the entirety of the word.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

8. Study them to help you to be effective in His service.

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness. – Psalms 119:159

Beloved brethren all of these attitude becomes absolutely necessary, for the following reasons.

1. You shall be wise and be perfected for doing them.

2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
2. What you do with the entirety of the words , determined where you shall spend eternity.
Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

3. Your earnest desire to be part of the imminent rapture is hinged on what you are doing with the entirety of His words in the Bible.

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

4. Jesus’s most important counsel for you, is to commit yourself to doing all the words He commanded His church to be taught and hold fast to the twenty two doctrines of the Bible, till He comes.

Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Revelation 2:25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.

Beloved brethren, it was the full understanding of all of the above that made David to love the word of God biblically, to enable him sustain, God’s ceaseless lovingkindness for all His saints of all ages, which includes you. See it yourself.

Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness. – Psalms 119:159

The word of God, exhorts you to follow what is good. So follow the good example of David in loving and obeying the entirety of God’s unfailing unchanging eternal words and access and sustain His unfailing lovingkindness.

It shall surely be your portion as you too, to do in Jesus name.

3 John 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness. – Psalms 119:159

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | March 30, 2021 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved

I beheld the transgressors [ people who deal treacherously ], and was grieved; because they kept not thy word. - Psalms 119:158
I beheld the transgressors [ people who deal treacherously ], and was grieved; because they kept not thy word. - Psalms 119:158

I beheld the transgressors [ people who deal treacherously ], and was grieved; because they kept not thy word. – Psalms 119:158

I beheld the transgressors [ people who deal treacherously ], and was grieved; because they kept not thy word. – Psalms 119:158

Beloved brethren, you must be determinedly committed to avoid what caused the destruction of the first world by flood.

Our loving Father was grieved because of the wickedness of the people.

It is very important for you to know, that either the Father or our Lord Jesus Christ and even the gentle blessed Holy Spirit are always grieved because of sin. See it yourself.

God the Father.

Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Jesus Christ our Lord and Master.

Mar 3:5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
I beheld the transgressors [ people who deal treacherously ], and was grieved; because they kept not thy word. – Psalms 119:158

Sin will grieve the blessed Holy Spirit.

Eph 4:30 — Eph 4:323 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Saints and believers in Bible days also were always grieved to see others committing sin.

Isaac was grieved because of the attitude of Esau

Gen 26:34 — Gen 26:35 And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite: Which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.

Paul apostle was grieved because of sin .

Act 16:18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
I beheld the transgressors [ people who deal treacherously ], and was grieved; because they kept not thy word. – Psalms 119:158

It was this attitude of sinners that was a very serious concern to David

He was grieved like the Triune Jehovah God and saints alike See it yourself.

I beheld the transgressors [ people who deal treacherously ], and was grieved; because they kept not thy word. – Psalms 119:158

The Bible reaffirmed that David was always grieved to see others sinning against God.

Psa 139:21 Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee?and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

Beloved are you grieved when you see others sinning against God or you join them and encourage them?

I am persuaded that your response should be affirmative yes, but if not, it means you are encouraging sin and displeasing God.

The consequence of this is eternal damnation. It shall never be your portion in Jesus name, but make deliberate efforts to separate yourself from those who delight in grieving God by sinning against Him.

The good Lord shall help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.

Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
I beheld the transgressors [ people who deal treacherously ], and was grieved; because they kept not thy word. – Psalms 119:158

Many are my persecutors and mine enemies [ foes who persecute me ] ; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies. – Psalms 119:157

Dearly beloved brethren, Bible believing believers like you are exhorted to be steadfast to the end, whenever they are faced with difficulties because of their faith in God or Jesus Christ our Lord and Master. See some of these exhortations.

Mark 13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Many are my persecutors and mine enemies [ foes who persecute me ] ; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies. – Psalms 119:157

Beloved see some saints and brethren in Bible days that preserved in their difficulties.

PETER AND JOHN

Acts 5:27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, 5:28 Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us. 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

JOSEPH

Genesis 39:7 And it came to pass after these things, that his master’s wife cast her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. 39:8 But he refused, and said unto his master’s wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; 39:9 There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? 39:10 And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.

THE THREE HEBREWS

Daniel 3:16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. 3:17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. 3:18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. 3:19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated. 3:20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
Many are my persecutors and mine enemies [ foes who persecute me ] ; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies. – Psalms 119:157

King David was undergoing severe persecutions at this particular time and he held on to God’s unfailing unchanging eternal words. See it yourself.

Many are my persecutors and mine enemies [ foes who persecute me ] ; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies. – Psalms 119:157

Beloved brethren, what king David did, was God’s expectations from you, to secure His unfailing timely intervention.

Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 46:2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 46:3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. 46:4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. 46:5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | March 28, 2021 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | Great are thy tender mercies

Great are thy tender mercies [ loving kindness ], O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments. - Psalms 119:156

Great are thy tender mercies [ loving kindness ], O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments. – Psalms 119:156

Great are thy tender mercies [ loving kindness ], O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments. – Psalms 119:156

Dearly beloved brethren glory to God that you are biblically born again, because, you took advantage of the unmerited mercies of God, through Calvary. See it.

Titus 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Either in the old and new testaments, the basis of redemption and pardon for sin, was the unmerited mercies of God. See it yourself.

Exodus 15:13 Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.
Mic 7:18 — Mic 7:19 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. 19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
Great are thy tender mercies [ loving kindness ], O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments. – Psalms 119:156

In addition, every physical, financial and material blessings that anyone either in the old or new testaments have ever received, came on the account of God’s unmerited mercies. See it yourself.

Exo 34:5 — Exo 34:7 And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. 6 And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, 7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
Mat 9:27 — Mat 9:30 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. 28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. 29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. 30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
Mat 15:21 — Mat 15:28 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs. 27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
Great are thy tender mercies [ loving kindness ], O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments. – Psalms 119:156
Mar 10:46 — Mar 10:50 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee. 50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.

King David having benefitted over and over again these unmerited mercies, even at this time besseched the Lord to reach out to him through this same tender unmerited mercies. See it yourself.

Great are thy tender mercies [ loving kindness ], O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments. – Psalms 119:156

The Bible showed record of several times. King David had appealed to the Lord for His tender mercies. See some of them.

Psa 86:5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
Psa 86:15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
Psa 103:8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

Beloved brethren, this unique privilege is available for you too. Take advantage of it, like, Paul apostle did and you shall be enjoying it, till Jesus comes in Jesus name.

1Ti 1:12 — 1Ti 1:16 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; 13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

Great are thy tender mercies [ loving kindness ], O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments. – Psalms 119:156

Plead [ Defend ] my cause [ Argue my case ], and deliver [ Redeem ] me: quicken me according to thy word. – Psalms 119:154

Dearly beloved brethren, their is a unique and unusual privilege that saints and Bible believing believers enjoy with God the Father.

They could plead their cause with Him and many times, He pleaded their causes with their adversaries Himself. See the following.

Isa 43:25 — Isa 43:26 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.
Pro 23:11 For their redeemer is mighty;he shall plead their cause with thee.
Jer 50:34 Their Redeemer is strong;the Lord of hosts is his name:he shall throughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
Jer 51:36 Therefore thus saith the Lord;Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee;and I will dry up her sea,and make her springs dry.
Plead [ Defend ] my cause [ Argue my case ], and deliver [ Redeem ] me: quicken me according to thy word. – Psalms 119:154

What our Father in heaven was doing for saints, Jesus our Master and Lord, is doing same for all Bible believing believers of all ages and that includes you at the right hand of God in heaven, now. See this your.

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

King David who has been benefitting this unique privilege over and over, at this time was pleading with God to do it for him again, as He used to do for him. See it yourself.

Plead [ Defend ] my cause [ Argue my case ], and deliver [ Redeem ] me: quicken me according to thy word. – Psalms 119:154

Beloved, see instances of his benefitting from this privilege in the time past.

Psa 35:1 Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me:fight against them that fight against me. Take hold
Psa 43:1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation:O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
Psa 74:22 Arise, O God, plead thine own cause:remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.

Beloved you have a better covenant than king David, so reach out to God, He will always plead your cause and give you victory at all times.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | March 25, 2021 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | Consider mine affliction, and deliver me

Consider mine affliction [ Look upon my suffering and rescue me ], and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law. - Psalms 119:153

Consider mine affliction [ Look upon my suffering and rescue me ], and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law. – Psalms 119:153

Consider mine affliction [ Look upon my suffering and rescue me ], and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law. – Psalms 119:153

Dearly beloved brethren, the Bible in both old and new testaments, reveals that both saints and sinners, believers and unbelievers alike shall experience divers seasons of challenges on this site of heaven.

Genesis 8:22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
Job 5:6 Although affliction cometh not forth of the dust, neither doth trouble spring out of the ground; 5:7 Yet man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 5:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 5:10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

However, saints and believers are better placed, because they have numerous promises in the Bible, that they can pray and God shall bring them out of the challenges.

Psalms 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
Psalms 34:15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. 34:17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
Psalms 91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 91:15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
Consider mine affliction [ Look upon my suffering and rescue me ], and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law. – Psalms 119:153
Psalms 107:27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit’s end. 107:28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. 107:29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. 107:30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
1 Peter 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

It was this awareness of the numerous promises of God in the Bible for God willingness to hear the prayers of saints in trouble, that made king David, to cry unto God , to deliver him from his affliction. See it yourself.

Consider mine affliction [ Look upon my suffering and rescue me ], and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law. – Psalms 119:153
Psalms 56:9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
Psalms 3:4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
Psa 18:6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God:he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.
Psa 30:2 O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

Beloved, king David prayed to the Lord in His challenges and the Lord, heard and delivered him.

You too have the same privilege, reach out to God now and these challenges shall turn to testimonies in Jesus name.

Luke 21:13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

See the testimony of Peter, delivered from death, because the church prayed.

Acts 12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. 12:5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him. 12:6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison. 12:7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 12:8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. 12:9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision. 12:10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him. 12:11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the LORD hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

This shall be your own experience too in Jesus name.

Consider mine affliction [ Look upon my suffering and rescue me ], and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law. – Psalms 119:153

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | March 24, 2021 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever

Concerning thy testimonies [ laws and decrees ], I have known of old [ earliest days ] that thou hast founded them for ever. - Psalms 119:152

Concerning thy testimonies [ laws and decrees ], I have known of old [ earliest days ] that thou hast founded them for ever. – Psalms 119:152

Concerning thy testimonies [ laws and decrees ], I have known of old [ earliest days ] that thou hast founded them for ever. – Psalms 119:152

Dearly beloved brethren, always remember, God’s Words in the Bible are eternal, unfailing and unchanging.

Over and over the scriptures emphasized it and it was affirmed by our Lord Jesus Christ. See it yourself.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Psalms 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
Psa 105:8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.
Isa 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
1Pe 1:23 — 1Pe 1:25 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: 25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
Concerning thy testimonies [ laws and decrees ], I have known of old [ earliest days ] that thou hast founded them for ever. – Psalms 119:152

Everything on this earth shall be burnt, but the words of God shall abide forever.

It is because of this, that the scriptures reveals the right attitude you must have to God’s eternal unchanging words.

2Pe 3:10 — 2Pe 3:14 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

King David’s perfect understanding about the eternality of God’s word, made him to ensure his life complies with God’s words in absolute obedience.
See it yourself.

Concerning thy testimonies [ laws and decrees ], I have known of old [ earliest days ] that thou hast founded them for ever. – Psalms 119:152
Psalms 119:1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. 119:2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. 119:3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways. 1
Psalms 19:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. 119:10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Beloved you also must embrace this right attitude to the word of God in the Bible, because they determine your eternal well-being.

John 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

The good Lord shall help you to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.

Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.

No wonder, he made the Lord his Shepherd and he enjoyed unusual preservation and protection.

Psalms 23:1-4 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psalms 91:1-6 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 91:2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 91:3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. 91:4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. 91:5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; 91:6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

Beloved, this unusual privilege is available for you too, if you will meet the conditions of accessing and sustaining God’s presence.

I am persuaded you shall do them and His presence shall avail for you till Christ comes in Jesus name.

They draw nigh that follow after mischief [ Those who devise wicked schemes are near ]: they are far from thy law. – Psalms 119:150

Dearly beloved brethren, both in the old and new testaments, saints and Bible believing believers, like you are exhorted, that, your desire to live righteously, shall expose you to trouble and difficulties in the hands of lawless persecutors.

Psalms 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

When our Lord Jesus Christ was here during His earthly ministry, He experienced the same. Even, His close associate joined forces with the Sanhedrin to hurt Him.

Jn 12:27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
Jn 13:21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
They draw nigh that follow after mischief [ Those who devise wicked schemes are near ]: they are far from thy law. – Psalms 119:150

Paul apostle experienced same in the hands of lawless Judaizers and the heathen.

2Co 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
2Co 7:5 For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.

Some times, it would seem as if these lawless persecutors will overwhelm you, but God’s timely intervention shall truncate their wicked intentions.

2 Timothy 4:16- 18 At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. 4:17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

This tireless attacks from lawless persecutors, was the concern of king David at this time.

In the days of backsliding wicked and jealous king Saul. There were times that, he and his supporters would caught up with David, but some how, God would deliver him.

See this yourself.

They draw nigh that follow after mischief [ Those who devise wicked schemes are near ]: they are far from thy law. – Psalms 119:150
1 Samuel 24:2-3 Then Saul took three thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and went to seek David and his men upon the rocks of the wild goats. 24:3 And he came to the sheepcotes by the way, where was a cave; and Saul went in to cover his feet: and David and his men remained in the sides of the cave.

Beloved in the same way God delivered king David from the hands of Saul and others, so also the good Lord shall do for you too in the hands of your lawless persecutors in Jesus name.

2 Corinthians 1:10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;
2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | March 21, 2021 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness

Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness and tender mercies: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment. - Psalms 119:149
Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness and tender mercies: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment. - Psalms 119:149

Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness and tender mercies: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment. – Psalms 119:149

Dearly beloved brethren, as the coming of the Lord is fast approaching, some very unfortunate things are happening in Christendom. See some of them.

1. Iniquities abounding.

Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

2.. Departure from the faith, living by the entirety of God’s unfailing unchanging eternal words.

1 Timothy 4:1-2 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

3. Lost of first faith.

1 Timothy 5:12 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.

4. Lost of first love.

Revelation 2:4-5 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness and tender mercies: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment. – Psalms 119:149

5. Lovers of pleasure more than love of God..

2Ti 3:1 — 2Ti 3:5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Beloved, pause here a little and allow the blessed Holy Spirit of examine you. Are you not caught up in any of these web? Your answer should be capital no.

But if it is yes, reach out to God for revival and restoration.

The Bible is repleted with numerous promises for revival. See some of them.

Isaiah 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
Psa 85:6. Wilt thou not revive us again:that thy people may rejoice in thee?
Psa 138:7. Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me:thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
Hosea 6:1 – 2 Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. 6:2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
Hab 3:2. O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid:O Lord, revive thy work in the midst of the years,in the midst of the years make known;in wrath remember mercy.
Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness and tender mercies: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment. – Psalms 119:149

King David had a desire not be swept away by the tide of events happening around him, cried to God to quicken and revive him, because of His lovingkindness.
See it yourself.

Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness and tender mercies: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment. – Psalms 119:149

Dearly beloved brethren, like king David, as you too, looks forward to the imminent return of the Lord and the dawning rapture, won’t you reach out to God and ask Him, to keep your ready for His coming and deliver you from the impact of last days events.

The good Lord shall help you as you earnestly pray to Him in Jesus name.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
