The proud have forged a lie [ falsehood ] against me: but I will keep thy precepts, statues and decrees with my whole heart. – Psalms 119:69

Dearly beloved brethren, over and over both in the old and new testaments, saints and believers are informed that, their righteous stance will incur the wrath of the unrighteous.

Psalms 34:19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
John 15:17 These things I command you, that ye love one another. 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. 15:21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. 15:22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin. 15:23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also. 15:24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. 15:25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
The proud have forged a lie [ falsehood ] against me: but I will keep thy precepts, statues and decrees with my whole heart. – Psalms 119:69

But in addition, the scriptures revealed the biblical response of the righteous to those that are persecuting them.

See the admonitions from the scriptures on the attitude of Bible believing believers and you in particular to all those that are persecuting you without a cause.

Beloved see the exemplary lifestyle of our Lord to His persecutors.. He did exactly what He taught.

Acts 1:1 The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,
1 Peter 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 2:23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
The proud have forged a lie [ falsehood ] against me: but I will keep thy precepts, statues and decrees with my whole heart. – Psalms 119:69

See what our Lord taught us about believers response to persecution, which must be your own attitude too.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

In addition, see the exhortation of the blessed Holy Spirit on believers response to persecution.

1 Thessalonians 5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
Romans 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
1 Peter 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 3:9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: 3:11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 3:13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? 3:14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 3:16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. 3:17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing. 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

This verse of the Bible reveals the stance of king David towards his persecutors. See it yourself.

The proud have forged a lie [ falsehood ] against me: but I will keep thy precepts, statues and decrees with my whole heart. – Psalms 119:69

See how the following verses affirmed that ,he was been persecuted.

Psalms 119:22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies. 119:23 Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes. 119:42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word. 119:78 Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts.

But then, see his godly response to his persecutors.

Psalms 119:2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. 119:10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. 119:34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

Beloved, see this same passage in other Bible versions.

NLT
Psalms 119:69 Arrogant people smear me with lies, but in truth I obey your commandments with all my heart.

AMP BIBLE
Psalm 119:69 The arrogant and godless have put together a lie against me, but I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart.

In addition see the same passage amplified.

The proud have forged a lie against me; literally, patched up a lie against me . But I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart “The connection of the clauses is—that all the craft and malice of his enemies should only lead him to obey God with a more undivided heart than ever.

Beloved always remember, your righteous stance will incur the wrath of the ungodly. But then your response to their malicious acts must be like that of our Lord Jesus Christ and king David.

The grace of God shall avail for you in particular in Jesus name.

The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

The proud have forged a lie [ falsehood ] against me: but I will keep thy precepts, statues and decrees with my whole heart. – Psalms 119:69

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | December 30, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes

Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes [ commandments, laws, regulations, decrees and ordinances ] - Psalms 119:68
Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes [ commandments, laws, regulations, decrees and ordinaces ] - Psalms 119:68

Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes [ commandments, laws, regulations, decrees and ordinaces ] – Psalms 119:68

Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes [ commandments, laws, regulations, decrees and ordinances ] – Psalms 119:68

Beloved brethren, there is one undeniable truth about God, your loving Father in heaven. He is good.

Psa 73:1 Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

Good things comes from Him to Bible believing believers, like you.

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

He does not take good things away from His people.

Praise God, you belong to Him, so good things will never ever be taken away from you in particular in Jesus name.

Psalms 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes [ commandments, laws, regulations, decrees and ordinances ] – Psalms 119:68

He is determined to give you in particular good things, as you pray to Him.

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

To crown it all, He sent Jesus Christ to you to do good things to you in particular.

Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Beloved , how do you access and sustain these good things?

Become good by following what is good according to the Bible.

1 Thessalonians 5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
3 John 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes [ commandments, laws, regulations, decrees and ordinances ] – Psalms 119:68

One major good thing you can follow, to make you good biblically, is to learn from Jesus.

During His earthly ministry, He was submissive to the Father, by been teachable.

John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

So become good biblically, be submissive and teachable like Jesus. Let Him teach you.

Ephesians 4:21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

This was the earnest desires of king David, having discovered that God in all things have been good to Him.

So , he desired to be taught, what will help him, sustain the good things,. God was doing to him tirelessly. See it yourself.

Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes [ commandments, laws, regulations, decrees and ordinances ] – Psalms 119:68

See the same verse in other Bible versions.

NLT
Psalms 119:68 You are good and do only good; teach me your decrees.

AMP BIBLE
Psalm 119:68 You are good and kind and do good; teach me Your statutes.

The lessons God taught him, helped him to live eternally with Him.

This same lesson, God extended to all Israel. See it yourself.

Psa 73:1 Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes [ commandments, laws, regulations, decrees and ordinances ] – Psalms 119:68

God taught king David and Israel, the importance of clean heart for their eternal well being.

Psa 24:4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart;who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God;and renew a right spirit within me.

In the same token, Jesus taught believers of all ages especially you to have pure heart.

Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Dearly beloved, because you are the Israeli of God, endeavor to have clean and pure heart according to the Bible and then access and retain good things from God to you and also live eternally with Him, at the end of time.

Gal 6:16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes [ commandments, laws, regulations, decrees and ordinances ] – Psalms 119:68

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | December 29, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.

Before I was afflicted I went astray [ I wandered off until you disciplined me ]: but now have I kept thy word. - Psalms 119:67
Before I was afflicted I went astray [ I wandered off until you disciplined me ]: but now have I kept thy word. - Psalms 119:67

Before I was afflicted I went astray [ I wandered off until you disciplined me ]: but now have I kept thy word. – Psalms 119:67

Before I was afflicted I went astray [ I wandered off until you disciplined me ]: but now have I kept thy word. – Psalms 119:67

Dearly beloved brethren, you must never ever forget, one of the most important counsel of Jesus to believers of all ages and you in particular.

This counsel was repeated by our Lord, because of its importance and consequences. See this all important counsel.

John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

The blessed Holy Spirit exhorts believers to take advantage of the grace of God and depart from iniquity.

2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Before I was afflicted I went astray [ I wandered off until you disciplined me ]: but now have I kept thy word. – Psalms 119:67

The reason why God’s people are counselled not to sin, is because of the earthly pains and eternal consequences associated with it.

1. Earthly pains and losses.

Psalms 107:17-18 Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted. Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.
Ezekiel 18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
Jeremiah 5:25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.
Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Before I was afflicted I went astray [ I wandered off until you disciplined me ]: but now have I kept thy word. – Psalms 119:67

2. Eternal pains and losses.

Psalms 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Matthew 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

The Bible says anyone and everyone commiting sin, belong to the devil. It went further that true Bible believing believers can not sin and must not sin.

1 John 3:8-9 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

It was this eternal truth king David was affirming, through his own personal experience, about the earthly and eternal afflictions that shall be the lot of those who are sinning wilfully. See it yourself.

Before I was afflicted I went astray [ I wandered off until you disciplined me ]: but now have I kept thy word. – Psalms 119:67
Psalms 119:71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

See same verse in other Bible version and amplified.

AMP BIBLE
Psalm 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now Your word do I keep [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying it].

Before I was afflicted I went astray “Sweet are the uses of adversity” The psalmist feels end confesses that the afflictions, which he has suffered have been good for him. They have made him less apt to “go astray” than he was. But now have I kept thy Word .

Before I was afflicted I went astray [ I wandered off until you disciplined me ]: but now have I kept thy word. – Psalms 119:67

However, king David learned great lesson from his going astray and resolved determindly, to be obedient to the unfailing and unchanging words of God that can keep him and any other person from falling into avoidable dambable sin.

Psalms 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Psalms119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Beloved, to avoid experiencing the pains and shame of earthly and eternal consequences of avoidable dambable sin, be determined to be obedient to the entirety of God’s words till Christ comes.

Before I was afflicted I went astray [ I wandered off until you disciplined me ]: but now have I kept thy word. – Psalms 119:67

Teach me good judgment [ discernment and wisdom ] and knowledge [ good sense ]: for I have believed thy commandments. - Psalms 119:66
Teach me good judgment [ discernment and wisdom ] and knowledge [ good sense ]: for I have believed thy commandments. - Psalms 119:66

Teach me good judgment [ discernment and wisdom ] and knowledge [ good sense ]: for I have believed thy commandments. – Psalms 119:66

Dearly beloved brethren, you must endeavor to be like Bible days saints in the old testament and believers in the new testament.

Their lives and everything pertaining to them were regulated by what the word of God says. See the following.

Bible days old testament saints.

Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
Psalms 119:9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Proverbs 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
Psalms 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Psalms 43:3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
Teach me good judgment [ discernment and wisdom ] and knowledge [ good sense ]: for I have believed thy commandments. – Psalms 119:66

Bible days new testament believers.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Act 5:27 — Act 5:29 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Teach me good judgment [ discernment and wisdom ] and knowledge [ good sense ]: for I have believed thy commandments. – Psalms 119:66

In addition, God’s eternal, unfailing and unchanging words are the wisdom of God to make His people wise and to be able to discern every subtility of satan and his cohorts.

Deuteronomy 4:6 Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Mat 7:24 — Mat 7:27 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
Teach me good judgment [ discernment and wisdom ] and knowledge [ good sense ]: for I have believed thy commandments. – Psalms 119:66

Beloved, the realization of king David, about the relevance of God’s eternal words in making anyone and everyone, who lived by them wise, made him to pray that God should teach him on how to apply His words, rightly. See it yourself.

Teach me good judgment [ discernment and wisdom ] and knowledge [ good sense ]: for I have believed thy commandments. – Psalms 119:66

See this same verse in other versions.

NLT
Psalms 119:66 I believe in your commands; now teach me good judgment and knowledge.

AMP BIBLE
Psalm 119:66 Teach me good judgment, wise and right discernment, and knowledge, for I have believed (trusted, relied on, and clung to) Your commandments.

See the same verse amplified.

Teach me good judgment and knowledge; ie give me sound judgment and wisdom, to discern right from wrong. For I have believed thy commandments. I have looked to them, and trusted in them as my guides in the way of righteousness .

Dearly beloved, because you are a Bible believing believer yourself, then follow the good example of saints and believers in Bible days, who made God’s eternal words, final authority and wisdom in everything pertaining to them.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

May the good Lord help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.

Teach me good judgment [ discernment and wisdom ] and knowledge [ good sense ]: for I have believed thy commandments. – Psalms 119:66

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | December 27, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.

Thou hast dealt well with thy servant [ Do good to your servant ], O LORD, according unto thy word. - Psalms 119:65
Thou hast dealt well with thy servant [ Do good to your servant ], O LORD, according unto thy word. - Psalms 119:65

Thou hast dealt well with thy servant [ Do good to your servant ], O LORD, according unto thy word. – Psalms 119:65

Dearly beloved brethren, there was something unique and common to all the saints in the old testament and believers in the new testament.

They were persuaded that everything that happened to them were for their good ultimately.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

This was the persuasion of king David at this point in time. Despite all he had gone through: See some of them.

1. Persecutions of princess

Psalms 119:161 Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

2. Contempt and reproach.

Psalms 119:22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.

3. Derision of the wicked.

Psalms 119:51 The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law.
Thou hast dealt well with thy servant [ Do good to your servant ], O LORD, according unto thy word. – Psalms 119:65

Despite all of these, he felt and was persuaded, that God through them all had dealt well with him, according to His unfailing and unchanging promises. See it yourself.

Thou hast dealt well with thy servant [ Do good to your servant ], O LORD, according unto thy word. – Psalms 119:65

Over and over, he felt and was persuaded, that God had dealt well with him according to His eternal words. See some of his inclinations.

Psalms 119:41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.
Psalms 119:58 I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.
Psalms 119:170 Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.

Beloved see this same verse in other versions.

NLT
Psalms 119:65 You have done many good things for me, lord, just as you promised.

AMP BIBLE
Psalm 119:65 You have dealt well with Your servant, O Lord, according to Your promise.

See this same passage amplified.

Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Lord. Notwithstanding all that he has suffered from the “persecution” of princes and the “contempt” and “derision” of the wicked generally , the psalmist feels that God’s dealings with him have, on the whole, been good and gracious. According unto thy Word. As thou hast promised in thy Word to deal with thy servants .

It is for this, that the word of God, commands all the people of God and you in particular, to be thankful at all times, because, everything happening around you, ultimately are for your good.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Beloved make this attitude your lifestyle till Christ comes and it shall be well with you in particular in Jesus name.

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | December 26, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy

The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy [ your unfailing love fills the earth ]: teach me thy statutes. - Psalms 119:64

The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy [ your unfailing love fills the earth ]: teach me thy statutes. – Psalms 119:64

The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy [ your unfailing love fills the earth ]: teach me thy statutes. – Psalms 119:64

Dearly beloved brethren, you must not be like the vast majority of those who profess religion and take our loving Father in heaven for granted.

It is true, His love is agape, good, kind, great and many more.

Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy [ your unfailing love fills the earth ]: teach me thy statutes. – Psalms 119:64

Beloved, because you place so much premium on the love of God for you, reciprocate it, by loving Him too, according to the scriptures.

1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.
1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Our Master and Lord through His exemplary lifestyle, taught the believers of all ages and you in particular, how to love our Father in heaven. See it.

Jn 14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy [ your unfailing love fills the earth ]: teach me thy statutes. – Psalms 119:64

Our Master and Lord was teachable

John 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

So beloved, because you also love our Father in heaven, be reachable, like Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

When you yield wholeheartedly to the teachings of our Father in heaven, it would be to your profit, here and hereafter. See it yourself.

Isaiah 48:17-18 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:
The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy [ your unfailing love fills the earth ]: teach me thy statutes. – Psalms 119:64

This was the choice and enviable resolution, king David made in appreciation to unmerited love of God, to him. He resolved to be teachable. See it yourself.

Psalms 119:64 The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.

The mercy of God is His goodness and loving kindness. See it in other versions of the Bible.

NLT
Psalms 119:64 O lord, your unfailing love fills the earth; teach me your decrees.

AMP BIBLE
Psalm 119:64
[64]The earth, O Lord, is full of Your mercy and loving-kindness; teach me Your statutes.

This resolution to be teachable was severally repeated. See some of them.

Psalms 119:12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
Psalms 119:26 I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.
Psalms 119:33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
Psalms 119:68 Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
Psalms 119:108 Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments.
Psalms 119:124 Deal with thy servant according unto thy mercy, and teach me thy statutes.
Psalms 119:135 Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes.

Our Lord Jesus Christ and king David in appreciation of our Father in heaven’s love for them , reciprocated with humble and teachable heart.

The Bible says, you should follow what is good. So follow this enviable Christlikeness till Christ comes. The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

3 John 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy [ your unfailing love fills the earth ]: teach me thy statutes. – Psalms 119:64

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | December 25, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | I am a companion of all them that fear thee

I am a companion of all them [ I am a friend to all who ] that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. - Psalms 119:63

I am a companion of all them [ I am a friend to all who ] that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. – Psalms 119:63

I am a companion of all them [ I am a friend to all who ] that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. – Psalms 119:63

Dearly beloved brethren, their is an unchanging trait or character of anyone and everyone who have experienced biblical reconciliation with the Lord.

Such people either as saints in the old testament or Bible believing believers in the new testament. Such people have intense passion to be disassociated with sinners. See what the scriptures says.

Psalms 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Isaiah 52:11 Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.
2Co 6:14 — 2Co 6:18 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
Romans 16:17-18 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Ephesians 5:11-12 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
2Jo 1:8 — 2Jo 1:11 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
I am a companion of all them [ I am a friend to all who ] that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. – Psalms 119:63

This was the attitude of king David, now that he had fully teconcilled with God, he did not want to have anything to do again with sinners and wicked people. See it yourself.

I am a companion of all them [ I am a friend to all who ] that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. – Psalms 119:63

See this same passage in other Bible version.

AMP BIBLE
Psalm 119:63 I am a companion of all those who fear, revere, and worship You, and of those who observe and give heed to Your precepts.

See this same passage amplified.

I am a companion of all them that fear thee; ie. I do not consort with the ungodly or the careless, but only with those who love and reverence thee. It is well to live “separate from sinners” . And of them that keep thy precepts. Obedience necessarily follows on reverence and godly fear.

I am a companion – This was the natural consequence of his own conversion; he abandoned the workers of iniquity, and associated with them that feared the Lord.

I am a companion of all them [ I am a friend to all who ] that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. – Psalms 119:63

Beloved, I am persuaded that, this should be your attitude and character too. Because it is so, keep doing so, till Christ comes.

1Co 5:9 — 1Co 5:11 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world. But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

But then if it is not, now that you profess to be biblically born again, let this attitude, characterise your lifestyle, till Christ comes. Receive grace to do so in Jesus name.

I am a companion of all them [ I am a friend to all who ] that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. – Psalms 119:63

At midnight I will rise to give thanks and praises unto thee my God because of thy righteous judgments. - Psalms 119:62
At midnight I will rise to give thanks and praises unto thee my God because of thy righteous judgments. - Psalms 119:62

At midnight I will rise to give thanks and praises unto thee my God because of thy righteous judgments. – Psalms 119:62

At midnight I will rise to give thanks and praises unto thee my God because of thy righteous judgments. – Psalms 119:62

Dearly beloved brethren, there is one thing that can endear you to God of heaven. Be determindly thankful.
Psalms 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
Col 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
This is because, thanking God in all situations, is a very good thing.
Psalms 92:1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

At midnight I will rise to give thanks and praises unto thee my God because of thy righteous judgments. – Psalms 119:62
Thank God in every situation, no matter the severity of your challenges, just thank Him. This is because, your challenges could be worse than that.
This was the attitude of king David at this time, when his challenges had gotten to the peak, which was biblically referred to as night.
At midnight I will rise to give thanks and praises unto thee my God because of thy righteous judgments. – Psalms 119:62

Others in Bible days have thanked God also in their mid night, when their pains had gotten to the peak.
Acts 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
One of the things that made king David to endeared himself to God, was his resolution to thank God in every situation. See some of them.
Psalms 119:55 I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.
Psalms 34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalms 103:1-2 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
At midnight I will rise to give thanks and praises unto thee my God because of thy righteous judgments. – Psalms 119:62

One great undoing of the worldlings at this end time, is unthankfulness.

2 Timothy 3:1-2 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
Romans 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Beloved please avoid this great wickedness to God.
Always remember that in any situation you might find yourself, if God has not gone out of His way to moderate it, the situation could overwhelm you.
You will never ever be tempted beyond your faith and God will always place before you in particular, the way out of the situation, referred to biblically as midnight.
1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
See how this passage was amplified, to help you to be thankful in all situations.
At midnight I will rise – We are so overpowered with a sense of thy goodness, that in season and out of season we will return thee thanks.
So go and be doing likewise till Christ comes.
At midnight I will rise to give thanks and praises unto thee my God because of thy righteous judgments. – Psalms 119:62

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | December 23, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | The bands of the wicked have robbed me

The bands of the wicked have robbed [ have wrapped me round and surrounded ] me: but I have not forgotten thy law. – Psalms 119:61

The bands of the wicked have robbed [ have wrapped me round and surrounded ] me: but I have not forgotten thy law. – Psalms 119:61

Dearly beloved brethren, over and over both in the old and new testaments , the scriptures affirmed that, Bible believing saints and believers shall be persecuted and reproached because of their righteous stance.

You must never ever be surprised, when you discover, you are being persecuted or reproached for your righteous stance. See what the Bible says.

1 John 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.
John 17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
John 15:18-19 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
1 Peter 4:12-14 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
The bands of the wicked have robbed [ have wrapped me round and surrounded ] me: but I have not forgotten thy law. – Psalms 119:61

But then, when you are facing persecution, you must continue to behave like Christian, like our Lord and others did in Bible days. See some instances.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Romans 8:35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
The bands of the wicked have robbed [ have wrapped me round and surrounded ] me: but I have not forgotten thy law. – Psalms 119:61

This was the plight of king David in this passage. He was been persecuted by wicked people. See it yourself.

Psalms 119:61 The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.

See this same passage in other Bible version.

AMP BIBLE
Psalm 119:61 Though the cords of the wicked have enclosed and ensnared me, I have not forgotten Your law.

See this same passage amplified.

The bands of the wicked have robbed me; rather, the snares of wicked men entangled me But I have not forgotten (or, I did not forget) thy Law.

See other Bible verses affirmed his persecution and reaction.

Psalms 119:23 Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.
Psalms 119:157 Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies.
Psalms 119:161 Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

So beloved, brethren, when you too face persecution, because of your faith, do what king David, our Lord Jesus Christ and other saints of old did. The good Lord shall help you in particular in Jesus name.

Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
The bands of the wicked have robbed [ have wrapped me round and surrounded ] me: but I have not forgotten thy law. – Psalms 119:61

Knowing JESUS Daily Devotional | December 22, 2020 | LESSONS FROM PSALMS | I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

I made haste, and delayed not to keep [ I will hurry, and not delay, to obey ] thy commandments. - Psalms 119:60

I made haste, and delayed not to keep [ I will hurry, and not delay, to obey ] thy commandments. – Psalms 119:60

I made haste, and delayed not to keep [ I will hurry, and not delay, to obey ] thy commandments. – Psalms 119:60

Dearly beloved brethren, I praise God for you in particular, because you are a very wise person.
Pro 9:12 If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself:but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
Please sustain your being wise till Jesus comes and always validate your being wise, with consistent right decisions , followed by prompt actions.
This is because, it is very very costly to know what is wrong and be doing it. There are consequences for doing wrong things.
In the same token, it is very very costly to know what is right and not doing right. There are steep consequences for knowing and not doing what is right.
The reasons for these active and inactive behaviors are: summarised in these two verses of the scriptures.
2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
I made haste, and delayed not to keep [ I will hurry, and not delay, to obey ] thy commandments. – Psalms 119:60
Now see these two practical instances.
1. Knowing and doing what is wrong and it’s consequences.
The rich man who knew God of father Abraham, but never sought Him, until he got to hell. His name was Davis. Our Lord, for the best reason known to Him, did not mentioned his name, but mentioned Lazarus.. Now , he is in hell for knowing and doing wrong things. He was doomed for all eternity.
Luke 16:19-24 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
2. Knowing and not doing what is right and it’s consequences.
On the other hand, see the governor who knew what was right but delayed, until the time was no more on his side. The consequence was that, he is now in hell, doomed for all eternity.
Acts 24:25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
I made haste, and delayed not to keep [ I will hurry, and not delay, to obey ] thy commandments. – Psalms 119:60

You remember the parable of the ten virgins. Five were wise , took wise decisions and followed them up with wise actions.

Five were foolish. They knew what was right but failed to do the right thing. You know the consequences.

Matthew 25: 1-4 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
It was for this reason that made king David to make a firm and unchanging resolution to be doing right thing at the right time. Obeying promptly the commandments of God.
Psalms 119:60 I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.
See this same passage amplified.
I made haste. Men are apt to put off their repentance—to delay it to a more “convenient season” The psalmist was not so foolish—he “made haste,” he says; and delayed not to keep God’s commandments. This was wise, for “now is the accepted time”
The malefactor, crucified with our Master and Lord on the cross, was also a wise person like king David.. He validated his been wise with prompt right action. The reward was that, he is now in paradise with our Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 23:39-43 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Beloved I am persuaded you are a wise person. Because of this, validate your being wise, by doing now, everything that shall help you to be fully prepared for the dawning rapture or eternity with God, in case, you are called to the other side, before the imminent rapture.
May the good Lord help you in particular to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.
I made haste, and delayed not to keep [ I will hurry, and not delay, to obey ] thy commandments. – Psalms 119:60
