Breakthrough through God’s unfailing eternal words.

Breakthroughs through God’s unfailing words.

Luke  5:1 And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,  5:2 And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.  5:3 And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.  5:4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.  5:5 And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.  5:6 And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.  5:7 And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

The following things are discovered from this passage.

1. Jesus’s earnest desire to preach the gospel for the lost to be saved.

2. Rewards for giving to God to advance His kingdom.

5:4 Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught

3. Obedience before breakthrough.

The three things are still what to be done today for us to experience desired breakthrough without sorrow.

1. Love with eternity in view.

Matthew  6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

2. Give your heart and substance to the Lord.

Proverbs  23:26 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.

Proverbs  3:9 Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

3. Work with your hands.

Psalms  1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

1 Thessalonians  4:11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;  4:12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

Then God’s blessings without sorrow shall be yours in Jesus name.

Proverbs  10:22 The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Let us pray.
