Dearly beloved, your gratitude to God must never wane. This is because, He showed His great love to you in particular, by giving you His greatest treasure.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Jesus Christ your Lord poured His love on you in particular, He gave you His Life.
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

In the same token, He wants you to reveal Him to others by abiding to this particular commandment from Him.
Jn 13:34 — Jn 13:35 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
But then beloved brethren, if in deed you love as Christ commanded you shall give to both the poor and needy brethren. as God the Father in heaven and Jesus Christ our Lord, did.

Gal 6:9 — Gal 6:10 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
Heb 13:1 — Heb 13:2 Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Brethren it is very ,very important for you to know that giving to the poor and the needy brethren have consequences here and hereafter .
Only those who give to the poor and needy brethren shall dwell with Jesus in heaven and be watered here. All of these shall be your portion in Jesus name. So be hospitable.
Pro 11:24 — Pro 11:25 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
Pro 28:27 He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack:but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
Ecclesiastes 11:1 Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.
Matthew 10:42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
Mat 25:31 — Mat 25:40 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Dearly beloved, those who refuse to help the poor shall be punished here and also spend eternity in hell with satan. This shall not be your portion in Jesus name. So be hospitable.
Proverbs 17:5 Whoso mocketh the poor reproacheth his Maker: and he that is glad at calamities shall not be unpunished.
Proverbs 21:13 Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.
Mat 25:41 — Mat 25:46 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
