September 10, 2019 – Enrich and Sustain your relationship with Jesus reading our daily devotional – Be thou an EXAMPLE of BELIEVER wherever you find yourself.
1 Timothy 4:12. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Beloved, as you conscientiously check through the Bible, be it in the old or new testaments . You will discover that saints and believers alike are called by God into glory. All the. Patriarchs from Abraham to Jacob lived a glorified life.
Even Joseph in the land of slavery at Egypt, Daniel in captivity in Babylon and queen Esther the orphan slave girl at Shashan . All of these
saints were glorified. Think of ignorant and unlearned Peter or the injurious Paul or our master and Lord Jesus Christ.
All lived a glorious life. Now yours shall never be an exception, because you also have being called into a glorious life, like all of these brethren.
See what the Bible says your calling is to be. You shall surely attain it in Jesus name.
Isa 43:7. Even equvery one that is called by my name:for I have created him for my glory,I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
2Pe 1:3. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue
Romans 8:30. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
However, you will discover something very unique and common in all these people either in the old or new testaments. They lived exemplary saintly lifestyle. This singular reason was what made God your loving Father, to put glory into their lives.
Since you also have been called likewise, you must determinedly live an exemplary lifestyle.
See what the Bible says.
1 Timothy 4:12. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Beloved, see the testimonies of these saints of like passion like you. If they lived exemplary lifestyle by the grace of God. You also by the same grace shall be able to do same in Jesus name.
1. Ruth.
Rth 3:9 — Rth 3:11. And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman. And he said, Blessed be thou of the Lord, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich. And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.
2. Job
Job 1:1. There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
3. Daniel.
Daniel 6:4. Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.
4. Zacharias and Elizabeth.
Luk 1:5 — Luk 1:6. There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
5. Mary the mother of our Lord.
Luk 1:26 — Luk 1:28. And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
John the Baptist.
Jn 5:33 — Jn 5:34. Ye sent unto John, and he bare witness unto the truth. But I receive not testimony from man: but these things I say, that ye might be saved.
Remember you are called to a glorious life attained through exemplary lifestyle. God’s grace shall help you to attain it in Jesus name.
Dearly beloved, you do not have any iota of doubt that our Lord lived a glorious and enviable life, during His earthly ministry. But then it became possible, because He conscientiously lived exemplary lifestyle. See how the scriptures describes it.
John 17:19. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
Phi 2:5 — Phi 2:8. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Heb 1:8 — Heb 1:9. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Hebrews 7:26. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
Our Lord did this as an example for believers of all ages that includes you in particular.
1Pe 2:21 — 1Pe 2:23. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
Mat 5:13 — Mat 5:16. Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
This same call was what the blessed Holy Spirit re-emphasised through Paul apostle. See it.
1 Timothy 4:12. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Bible days believers committed themselves to both this all important call to living exemplary lifestyle and doing same. See how the scriptures confirmed these two things.
1. The call.
Philippians 2:15. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
2. The lifestyle.
Acts 11:26. And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.
1 Thessalonians 2:10. Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:
Dearly beloved, because you too shall be glorified here and hereafter, do likewise what they did. The good Lord shall help you in Jesus name.
Friend, what else can be the essence of the dawning rapture, apart from the eternal glorification of the recipients. It shall not elude you in Jesus name. At the marriage supper that commences immediately after the raptured saints have being assembled in the air with the Lord. Everyone of us shall receive rewards from our eternal Bridegroom.
2Co 5:10. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
It is not a place to judge sin, but reward for service willingly done for Christ on this side of heaven. I hope you are doing something for Him. If not you shall be an onlooker on that day. To avoid this,
please engage in willing service to Him from now on. See these.
2Ti 4:7 — 2Ti 4:8. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
1Pe 5:1 — 1Pe 5:4. The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.
But then friend, what is the singular requisite that shall guarantee your participation in the marriage supper? It is no other thing apart from exemplary lifestyle of righteousness.
Rev 14:4 — Rev 14:5. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
Rev 19:5 — Rev 19:8. And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
Friend Jesus our Lord shall judge on two thrones at eternity. The first to reward the saints at the marriage supper.
The second to send sinners to the lake of fire at the white throne judgement. So heed this warming from Him, to be on the right side. You shall be on the right side in Jesus name.
Rev 22:11 — Rev 22:12. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
1 Timothy 4:12. Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
