BE HONEST ALWAYS | KnowingJESUS Daily Devotional

Romans 12:17Never repay anyone evil for evil. Take thought for what is honest and right and gracious and proper in the sight of everyone.

Beloved,  the Bible severally revealed God your loving Father in heaven as a being who will not lie. See them.

Numbers 23:19-20. God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

Titus 1:2. In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Hebrews 6:18. That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Beloved, because of His unchanging character, He demanded strict integrity from anyone and everyone, that ever had anything to do with Him. See His stance with these people in Bible days.
1.  king. Abimelechi

Genesis 20:4-7. But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation? Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this. And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her. Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.

2. King Solomon

1 Kings 9:3-5. And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually. And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments: Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

3. Patriarch  Job

Job 2:3-10. And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. And Satan answered the Lord, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. So went Satan forth from the presence of the Lord, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown. And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes. Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.

4. King David

Psalms 7:8. The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.

Psalms 26:1. Judge me, O Lord; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.

Psalms 26:11. But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.

Psalms 41:12. And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

Beloved, do you desire to have any serious relationship with God the Father ?  If your answer is yes, see what must characterise your lifestyle.

Proverbs 11:3. The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

Proverbs 19:1. Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.

Proverbs 20:7. The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.

Receive  grace to meet with His demands in Jesus name.
Dearly beloved, when our Lord was here during His earthly ministry, He was the truth personified and no guile was found in His mouth.

John 14:6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

1 Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

He had earnest passion  to  raise  followers of all ages, which must include you,  with honest and good heart. See what the Bible says.

Luke 8:11-15. Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

The blessed Holy Spirit continued to encourage believers of all ages, especially you,  to live a lifestyle characterised by honestly. This becomes a very important emphasis today because of the  dearth of honest believers, globally in Christendom.
Without any iota of presumption, let the blessed Holy Spirit search you out . Do you live a lifestyle  characterised by integrity and honesty? Between you and your spouse, you and your colleagues and the organisation you worked for? Are you honest? Between you and the brethren, can you be said to be living  a lifestyle  characterised by integrity and honesty?
Your answer to these questions should be yes, but if you are not sure, there is need for you to heed this all important  exhortation. See it.

Romans 12:17. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

The issue of honesty was paramount in Bible days. The believers emphasized its importance  and demanded it as requisite before anyone, could do anything for Christ. See the emphasis.

Acts 6:1-7. And in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration. Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables. Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.  And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch: Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid their hands on them. And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

2 Corinthians 8:20 -21. Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:  Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

2 Corinthians 13:7-8. Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates. For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

Philippians 4:8 -9. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things areof good report; if there be any virtue, and if there beany praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

1 Thessalonians 4:12: That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

1 Peter 2:12: Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Dearly beloved if seeing Jesus and living with Him in eternity is your goal at the end of time. Then honesty and integrity are SINE QUA NON.  May the good Lord help you to be wise unto salvation in Jesus name.
THE GREAT PREMIUM OF HONESTY AND INTEGRITY, REQUIRED FROM BELIEVERS OF ALL AGES, ESPECIALLY  YOU, ACCORDING TO ROMANS CHAPTER TWELVE VERSE SEVENTEEN.
Friend, your earnest desire to partake in the dawning rapture shall come to pass in Jesus name.  However, the major virtues that shall guarantee participation are honestly, integrity and good conscience.

Romans 12:17. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

The Bible days believers by the reason of their determined lifestyle of honesty maintained and  sustained  good consciences  among themselves, which made them Christlike in all things.
Unfortunately, today’s believers are deficient of  this all important character. This shall be the undoing of many that shall miss this imminent event. So like believers in Bible days, you must endeavour to live a lifestyle of good conscience in your relationship with everyone and anyone, you have to do anything with, till Christ comes.  See it affirmed severally in the scriptures.

Hebrews 13:18. Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

Acts 23:1. And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.

1 Timothy 1:5. Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

1 Timothy 1:18-19. This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare; Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

1 Peter 3:16: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ

Receive  grace to have good conscience that shall make you to be Christlike, till you meet Jesus in the sky.
