Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments: And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went. And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem. And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob. So Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Bethel, he and all the people that were with him. And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.

Beloved, it is very unfortunate that Ichabod is written all over Christendom globally and urgent biblical intervention is needed to salvage the pitiable situation.

1 Samuel 4:21 And she named the child Ichabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.

The reason for this is obvious. Compromise, secret sins, outright backsliding are the things plauging the universal church of Christ now globally. See these.

Matthew 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

1Ti 4:1 — 1Ti 4:2 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

2Ti 3:1 — 2Ti 3:5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

2Ti 4:3 — 2Ti 4:4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

2Th 2:10 — 2Th 2:12 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Beloved, as you read all of these revelations of the blessed Holy Spirit, as it affects the global church of Christ, are you free from all or any of these pitiable lifestyle of majority of the so called believers of today?

Please be very sincere and objective. You can not afford to be presumptuous. This is because it has negative impact on your readiness for the dawning rapture.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

It is for this reason that the blessed Holy Spirit is pleading with you in particular, to go back to Bethel, as God commanded Jacob.

At this time shameful and sinful lifestyles were the order of the day in the family of Jacob. See things that were happening.

Reuben his first born slept with one of his wife..

Judah one of his sons, slept with his daughter in law.

Dinah his only daughter had been raped.

Rachel his beloved wife had brought into the family, stolen idols and idolatry had crept into Jacob’s family.

Simeon and Levi, two of his sons were revengeful and had brought life threaten situation into the entire family of Jacob.

No wonder, God woke Jacob up from spiritual lethargy and slumbering, to go back to Bethel and rededicate his life and family back to God. See it yourself.

Gen 35:1 — Gen 35:7 And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother. When he did, see the blessings that follows. Same shall be your portion as you too heed the plea of the Lord to return to Bethel in Jesus name.

Gen 35:9 — Gen 35:10 And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padanaram, and blessed him. And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel.

Beloved as you critically consider the present estate of the global church of Christ and what made God to command Jacob to go back to Bethel, don’t you think you should also examine yourself, whether you need to go back to Bethel?

This is because, if you are found wanting in any of the pitiable, present situations in the church, as revealed by the blessed Holy Spirit above, readiness for the dawning rapture is not guaranteed.

You just need biblical humility to do what the prodigal son did. See it.

Luk 15:11 — Luk 15:24 And he said, A certain man had two sons: And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father’s have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.

But then if you sincerely wants to go back to Bethel, you must be thorough as Jacob. See some of the things Jacob did.

1. Removal of all strange gods. Anything in your life competing with God of heaven.

2. Be clean from all defiling things, the panting of face, mouth etc.

3. Removal of attire of harlots. Garments that expose your nakedness or worldly dressing. The wearing of men’s attire by women and cloths that are tight, revealing your anatomy.

4. Removal of earrings in their ears. The nose ring, the leg chains etc.

Genesis 35:2 Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:

Genesis 35:4 And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem.

Beloved, you can not contest any of the above, if sincerely you are preparing for the dawning rapture with your family.

You can not also claim that all of these are in the old testament.

See what the Bible says.

2Ti 3:16 — 2Ti 3:17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

If you can desire to apply the following scriptures written once in the old testament, then the onus is on you to abide by the others in the same.

See some of them.

1. No weapon.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

2. Living long life.

Psalms 118:17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

3. Goodness and mercies.

Psalms 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Beside this, see other scriptures forbidden women from wearing earrings.

Exo 33:3 — Exo 33:6 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way. And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments. For the Lord had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee. And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.

Isa 3:16 — Isa 3:24 Moreover the Lord saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go,and making a tinkling with their feet: Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion,and the Lord will discover their secret parts. In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon, The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers, The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings, The rings, and nose jewels, The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins, The glasses, and the fine linen,and the hoods, and the vails. And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.

1 Timothy 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

See also what the scriptures says about worldly and ungodly dresses worn especially by your spouse and female children, which you must stop.

The reason for wearing cloth, is to cover their nakedness. Don’t ever forget.

Any cloth worn , that fails to cover your nakedness shall hinder your readiness for rapture and send the person wearing it to hell fire at the event of death.

Exodus 20:26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.

Deuteronomy 22:5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.

Proverbs 7:10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.

Zephaniah 1:8 And it shall come to pass in the day of the Lord’s sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.

See what the Bible says about panting and stop yourself from doing it. Or stop your wife and daughters from doing it.

Jezebel the author of painting is now in hell.

Everyone doing same shall join her there. If you don’t want to go to hell, if you don’t want your wife and daughters to go to hell. Then stop them from painting.

2 Kings 9:30 And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.

Jeremiah 4:30 And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with crimson, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rentest thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.

See what the scriptures says about your body.

1Co 3:16 — 1Co 3:17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

1Co 6:19 — 1Co 6:20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Rom 12:1 — Rom 12:2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1Jo 2:15 — 1Jo 2:17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

2Co 6:17 — 2Co 6:18 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

Beloved, the Bible says if you willfully continue in worldliness, you are justifying yourself and the consequence is fierce Judgement.

This shall not be your portion or that of your wife and daughters in Jesus name.

Luke 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

Heb 10:26 — Heb 10:31 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Beloved, I am persuaded of you that you will heed the plea of the Lord and return to Bethel.

So what does it mean, to go back to Bethel?

It means going back to the old time religion. Going back to Biblical standard in lifestyle.

Jeremiah 6:16 Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

It is returning back to God with broken and contrite heart and Biblical repentance.

Isa 44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions,and, as a cloud, thy sins:return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

1Jo 1:8 — 1Jo 1:9 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Proverbs 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper:but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Jeremiah 4:1 If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the Lord, return unto me: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not remove.

Hosea 10:12 Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

But then returning to Bethel must be immediate. It is time bound. Tomorrow might be too late.

Isa 1:18 — Isa 1:20 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

Isa 55:6 — Isa 55:7 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

See what the Lord says for those who might refuse. I know you will not.

Fearful Judgement awaits them. See it.

Hosea 5:15 I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.

Hos 6:1 — Hos 6:3 Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain,

as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

Jn 12:46 — Jn 12:48 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Beloved, please heed this plea now. You can not afford to be part of the great tribulation. It shall not be your portion in Jesus name.

Rev 3:10 — Rev 3:11 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
