Seeing and knowing Christ before death.

Seeing and knowing Christ before death.

Luke  2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.  2:26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

It is very very important for you to encounter Christ, before death.

This is because, it is appointed unto everyone to die once.

Hebrews  9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Knowing and meeting and reconciling with Christ, will make you a new creature.

2 Corinthians  5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

It will also make your name to be written in the book of life

Philippians  4:3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

The reason for this is because, our parents since the day of Adam and Eve had sinned.

Romans  5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Knowing and reconciling with Christ will make your name to be written in heaven.

Luke  10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

It will save you from the consequences of not having your name written in the book of life.

Those whose names are not written in heaven will be damned and condemned after death.

Revelation  20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

A typical example was the rich man in the case of Lazarus.

This rich man died without knowing or reconciling with Christ and so, his name was not written in the book of life.

This made Him to be cast into hell fire

Luke  16:19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:  16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,  16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.  16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;  16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Endeavor to have your name written and retained in the book of life, before death.

Revelation  3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Simeon was happy to meet Christ before death.

Luke  2:27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,  2:28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,  2:29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:  2:30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,  2:31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

So endeavor to ensure you personally meet with Christ and be reconcile with Him, to help you have your name written in heaven, before death.

Luke  10:20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

Remember anyone whose name is not found in the book of life after death will be thrown to hell.

Revelation  20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Let us pray.
