The essence of the Triumphant resurrection of our Master and Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 28:7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
Yes, it was true Christ was crucified, He died and was buried.
But then it was also true that He rose triumphantly on the third day, according to the scriptures.
1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 15:4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
The resurrection of Christ was the singular event that distinguished Him from all the other religions.
All the founder of other religions died and remained in the grave, but He rose triumphantly on the third day.
No wonder, it is the only doctrine fiercely contested by satan and other religions.
Among the Jews, the Sanhedrin, it was hotly contested
Acts 4:1 And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, 4:2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
Among the gentiles, it was hotly contested.
Acts 24:19 Who ought to have been here before thee, and object, if they had ought against me. 24:20 Or else let these same here say, if they have found any evil doing in me, while I stood before the council, 24:21 Except it be for this one voice, that I cried standing among them, Touching the resurrection of the dead I am called in question by you this day.
Acts 26:23 That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
So what is the essence of His resurrection?
1. But then the resurrection is the basis of our faith in God.
1 Corinthians 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
2. Because God raised up our Lord, one of this day, He will raise us up too.
2 Corinthians 4:14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
3. Christ resurrection herald the rapture of the dead in Christ.
1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
4. We are justified before God as if we never sin, because of His resurrection.
Romans 4:24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; 4:25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
That Justification (or regeneration) is the act of God’s grace whereby one receives forgiveness and remission of sins and is counted righteous before God, through faith in the atoning blood of Jesus, standing before God as though he had never sinned
Christ resurrection placed you under compulsion to walk in the newness of life, if you will be able to partake in the imminent rapture.
Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
The question is are you walking in the newness of life?
You response should be affirmative yes.
But if it is no, then, Take advantage of His redemptive work and be biblically saved and sanctified, for you to be qualified to partake in the imminent rapture or live eternally with God .
His grace will be sufficient for you in Jesus name.
2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
Endeavor to see to it that the painful shameful gruesome and excruciating crucifixion of Christ is not in vain concerning you in particular.
Then His resurrection will pave way for you to resurrect as dead in Christ or living saints partaking in the imminent rapture.
God will help you to be wise in Jesus name.
Let us pray.
