Discovering God’s purpose for your life.

Discovering your purpose in life.

Acts  9:6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.  The greatest discovery you can make in life, is to discover from God, His purpose for you on this earth.

Our Lord Jesus Christ discovered His own and accomplished it.

John  17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:  17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.  17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.  17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

Paul apostle discovered his own and accomplished it.

2 Timothy  4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.  4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:  4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

John the Baptist and king David did same.

Acts  13:22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.  13:24 When John had first preached before his coming the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.  13:25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.  13:36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:

You too can discover God’s purpose for your life, if you ask Him.

Jeremiah  33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

John  16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Be like Paul. Ask the Lord for His purpose for your life and fulfill it.

Let us pray.
